An incomplete and disordered list odd reasons I ever bothered to see one movie or another. Often this has no bearing on the quality of a movie or television show.

- DirectorMichael TollinStarsCuba Gooding Jr.Ed HarrisDebra WingerThe story of a high school coach and the developmentally challenged man who he took under his wing.Strictly to see a ex-castmember of Daria in a live-action role, in this case the on-screen debut of Sarah Drew who voiced Stacy Rowe, and other minor characters.
- DirectorJennifer B. KatzStarsWendy HoopesJayce BartokRick Bean101 Ways (the things a girl will do to keep her Volvo) chronicles the epic adventures of Watson (Wendy Hoopes), a struggling young writer who moves to the quiet suburbs to write her first novel. A New York City native, Watson isn't much of a driver, and her over-protective mother forces her to buy a car she can't afford - a brand new Volvo. Watson falls in love with the car, but real life quickly catches up to her in the form of the repo man when she falls behind on her monthly payments. To avoid losing her beloved wheels, Watson tries her hand at two of the oldest professions: waiting tables and phone sex. At the same time, her meddling best friend (Jamie Harrold), convinces Watson to ignite her stagnant love life by pursuing a sexually-phobic pilot (Gabriel Macht) and an aloof supermarket cashier (Glenn Fitzgerald). The result is a refreshing comedy packed with star cast performances and an overriding moral: life's long and winding road has as many speed bumps as straightaways.Like "Radio," it was to see a Daria voice actor/actress in a live-action role. Wendy Hoopes has been in other live-action flicks and has had guest appearences on TV shows before.
- DirectorJay ChandrasekharStarsJay ChandrasekharKevin HeffernanAndré VippolisFive Vermont state troopers, avid pranksters with a knack for screwing up, try to save their jobs and out-do the local police department by solving a crime. As with Radio, it's to track down ex-Daria voice actors. This time it's Geoffrey Arend, who inherited the voice of Upchuck from Marc Thompson.
- DirectorDavid FincherStarsJesse EisenbergAndrew GarfieldJustin TimberlakeAs Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg creates the social networking site that would become known as Facebook, he is sued by the twins who claimed he stole their idea and by the co-founder who was later squeezed out of the business. The chance to see Brenda Song in a non-family friendly role, and she's quite non-family friendly here. The long-awaited "Boogie Town" has yet to be released as of this writing.
- DirectorHal HartleyStarsThomas Jay RyanJames UrbaniakParker PoseyAn introverted garbageman writes his thoughts in a notebook after Henry Fool, writer and ex-con, rents the basement and gives him a notebook and the idea. He writes poetry and Henry helps him along.Christy Carlson Romano outside of the Disney Universe, although you have to wait a while to look for that. The fact that it's an indie flick, made by a man who is known for making movies that take place on Long Island has never been enough for me.
- CreatorJohn McNamaraDavid SimkinsStarsMichael MadsenKathleen YorkScott PattersonThe mysterious Mr. Chapel helps others to gain vengeance against criminals.Specifically one episode that contains Senta Moses at a time when she was still known for being on the kids show "Beakman's World," and another featuring Jerry Mathers as somebody other than Beaver Cleaver.
- DirectorJames TobackStarsRobert Downey Jr.Heather GrahamNatasha Gregson WagnerTwo girls wait outside a young actor's door and find out he's had them both as "only" girlfriend the last ten months. They wait inside after breaking in. When Blake comes home he just can't stop lying but they stay. For no other purpose than to hear the sweet voice of ex-Velocity Girl lead singer Sarah Shannon covering a song that's played throughout the movie.
- DirectorHuck BotkoAndrew GurlandStarsMatt BennettZack PearlmanKrysta RodriguezFour guys, one camera, and their experience chronicling the exhilarating and terrifying rite of passage: losing your virginity. As these guys help their buddy get laid, they must survive friends with benefits, Internet hookups, and even porn stars during an adventure that proves why you will always remember your first.Another attempt to see an actor on a kid's show in a less than family-friendly role. As you can guess it's Victorious' Matt Bennett as the last virgin among a group of high school friends. Somewhat of a happier ending than the 1981 teenexploitation flick "The Last American Virgin."
- DirectorRobert EnglundStarsStephen GeoffreysPatrick O'BryanJim MetzlerPeople who dial 976-EVIL receive supernatural powers and turn into satanic killers. When Spike dialed 976-EVIL, he knew it was an expensive toll call, but he didn't know that he'd have to pay for it with his soul.To fulfill my mid-1990's fascination with the late Sandy Dennis, despite the fact that the plot was lifted from "Evilspeak."
- DirectorBob BalabanStarsRandy QuaidMary Beth HurtSandy DennisA young boy living in 1950s suburbia suspects that his parents are cannibalistic murderers. Also to fulfill my mid-1990's fascination with Sandy Dennis. This was no masterpiece, but it was way better than 976-EVIL.
- DirectorSalvador LitvakStarsLesley Ann WarrenMichael LernerShiri ApplebyA family's Passover gets screwy after the patriarch unknowingly ingests a hit of Ecstasy. Two reasons I even bothered to see this; 1)Lizzie McGuire's Adam Lamberg in some non-kiddie fare, and 2)The brief appearence of Victoria Justice in a flashback scene. Blink, and you'll miss her.
- DirectorLeslie H. MartinsonStarsJames DarrenPamela TiffinPaul LyndeA wealthy young man tries to woo a university student, while her two uncles work to popularize a local club.Just to capture an image of that George Barris-customized Buick Riviera and submit it to the Internet Movie Cars Database, something I had to struggle to do.
- DirectorScott S. AndersonStarsJosh HendersonJenna DewanLauren StormThe lead singer/guitarist of a high school rock band openly and unapologetically proclaims himself a newly-converted jerk; however, the right girl comes along who could change him back to his former sweet self.Tried to find Ashley Leggat in this movie, but I never noticed her... or at least I thought I saw her a couple of times. According to IMDb, she played somebody named "Britney."
- DirectorClark GreggStarsClark GreggFelicity HuffmanAllison JanneyIn an attempt to sign a Hollywood starlet, struggling talent agent and former child star Howard Holloway must contend with her volatile father, a scheming long-time rival, and a producer and casting director who despise him.An online video of a failed audition by "A.N.T. Farm's" Sierra McCormick for the role that ultimately went to Saxon Sharbino got me interested in this.
- DirectorSidney MillerStarsMary Ann MobleyJoan O'BrienNancy SinatraA college co-ed tries to balance her time writing songs and dealing with her publisher who tries to pursue her.Like "For Those Who Think Young" it was simply to capture some shuttle buses used to bring some kids to the ski lodge (and any other vehicles) for IMCDb. Sadly, there wasn't much else in the way of vehicles.
- DirectorJohn TaylorStarsTy TaylorLaura BranscumSteve WedanA young man's parents and pastor force him to go without rock music for two weeks, and as a result he discovers how rock music is a tool of Satan to control people.Brad Jones gave this movie a well-deserved online trashing, but I had to sit through this piece of crap just to capture some vehicles for IMCDb. Unfortunately the only one worth adding, was the '71 Ford Maverick sedan being driven by the main character.
- DirectorSamir RehemStarsCyrina FialloRachel SkarstenAshley LeggatA teenage misfit longs to be a cheerleader, so her athletic brother persuades his girlfriend to show her the tricks of the trade. Were it not for the presence of Cyrina Fiallo, I probably wouldn't even bother with this loose offshoot of the MTV "reality" series. Ashley Leggat makes it a little more worthwhile too.
- DirectorJac SchaefferStarsKali RochaRich SommerAmy SmartA romantic comedy starring Amy Smart and Rich Sommer that proves it's what you are on the inside that matters most. Winner of the 2010 My Movie Pitch contest presented by American Express and a 2011 Tribeca Film Festival Short Film.Only because Kali Rocha narrated the movie, but it was well-worth it.
- DirectorWes AndersonStarsLuke WilsonOwen WilsonNed DowdThree friends plan to pull off a simple robbery and go on the run.Only to find out why this movie has such a big hipster cult following. So far I still can't figure it out.
- DirectorNicholas HytnerStarsDaniel Day-LewisWinona RyderPaul ScofieldA Salem resident attempts to frame her ex-lover's wife for being a witch in the middle of the 1692 witchcraft trials. If you had asked me why I would've considered seeing this in and around 1996, it would've been for Winona Ryder. These days, it was for Kali Rocha.
- DirectorJason MooreStarsAnna KendrickBrittany SnowRebel WilsonBeca, a freshman at Barden University, is cajoled into joining The Bellas, her school's all-girls singing group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition. It took me a while to get into this movie, and I'd like to say it was for Anna Kendrick, but something else about it appealed to me, and I can't think of what it is.
- DirectorElizabeth BanksStarsAnna KendrickRebel WilsonHailee SteinfeldAfter a humiliating command performance at The Kennedy Center, the Barden Bellas enter an international competition that no American group has ever won in order to regain their status and right to perform. It took me a while to get into the first movie, and I missed the chance to see the second, but you know, Anna Kendrick and all.
- DirectorBrad MartinStarsHolmes OsborneDavid LeitchKelly HuIn the spring of 1986, no one had heard of Frank Sledge. One year later, Bloodfight 2 was #1 at the box office... And a star was born.A.K.A. "Confessions of an Action Hero," and "Sledge: The Untold Story," I really saw this for Kali Rocha, who looked good in this movie. At least it was better than "18 Fingers of Death," released a year later.
- DirectorNicholas HytnerStarsJennifer AnistonPaul RuddKali RochaA pregnant New York City social worker begins to develop romantic feelings for her gay best friend, and decides she'd rather raise her child with him, much to the dismay of her overbearing boyfriend. Most guys would've seen it for Jennifer Anniston, and if you had asked me back when it came out, I would've agreed. More recently I got interested in it for Kali Rocha, who didn't look so good at least in the opening scenes.
- DirectorGreta GerwigStarsSaoirse RonanLaurie MetcalfTracy LettsIn 2002, an artistically inclined 17-year-old girl comes of age in Sacramento, California.I know it's getting a lot of Oscar buzz, but I thought it was overrated. Frankly I saw it for the presence of Laura Marano, and even though she wasn't the star, I was hoping she'd have more to do in this movie.
- DirectorCharles Stone IIIStarsMegalyn EchikunwokeEden SherLyndon SmithTo get the college dean's backing for Harvard, Jamilah has to teach girls at a white sorority to step dance.Eden Sher was most of my reason for wanting to see this than anything else.
- DirectorPeter HutchingsStarsVictoria JusticeEden SherAshley RickardsAfter falling victim to a humiliating prank by the high school Queen Bee, best friends and world-class geeks, Mindy and Jodi, decide to get their revenge by uniting the outcasts of the school against her and her circle of friends.Victoria Justice, Eden Sher, Peyton List, Ashley Rickards, and others. I almost said "how can you go wrong," but as desirable as it is, it's no cinematic masterpiece.
- DirectorWes AndersonStarsJared GilmanKara HaywardBruce WillisTwo 12-year-olds, who live on an island, fall in love with each other and elope into the wilderness. While people set out on a search mission, a violent storm approaching them catches their attention.Mostly because I've got a thing for 1960's girls.
- DirectorEric LaneuvilleStarsDana DelanyJeri RyanMark ValleyMegan and Tommy are investigating the murder of a patient at a psychiatric hospital. When they rule out that someone came in, it means it was someone on the inside. So they talk to the other patients. Eventually one of the patients asks to talk to them privately and she claims that she was the intended target because the girl who was killed was in the room across from hers. She claims her mother committed her because she says her mother lied about what happened when her sister died. Megan tries to get the girl released but the mother and doctor taking care of her refuse. But she escapes and goes to Megan who decides to look into her sister's death. Megan tries to get her father's body exhumed but her mother refuses to help her.I saw it for Allysin Ashely Arm. I didn't mind her crazy act in the episode, or that her appearance was so brief, but I was really disappointed by the outcome.
- DirectorJohn PutchStarsKaty Mixon GreerDiedrich BaderMeg DonnellyKatie and Greg struggle to help the kids accept loss when a family friend suddenly passes away, and as their pet pig Hans Gruber must be returned to his natural habitat.Mainly to find out why Julia Butters flips her hair around in a sexy manner. As it turns out, she was mimicking her older TV sister, played by Meg Donnelly. That ought to be a new image in the IMDb gallery for this episode.
- DirectorLeslie GreifStarsTammin SursokChristopher Rodriguez MarquetteVirginia WilliamsA screwball sex comedy following two couples and their 10 rules to a happy, healthy, open relationship.Mostly because there was one scene on a bus with a pretty extra.
- DirectorJake SzymanskiStarsZac EfronAdam DevineAnna KendrickTwo hard-partying brothers place an online ad to find the perfect dates for their sister's Hawaiian wedding. Hoping for a wild getaway, the boys instead find themselves out-hustled by an uncontrollable duo.As expected, it was for Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza, but discovering Mary Holland made it something a little more worthwhile.
- DirectorJoe DanteEric GoldbergStarsBrendan FraserJenna ElfmanSteve MartinThe Looney Tunes search for a man's missing father and the mythical Blue Monkey diamond.Primarily for the scene where Shaggy (Casey Kasem) and Scooby-Doo (Frank Welker) chastise Matthew Lillard for his portrayal of him in the 2002 Scooby-Doo movie.
- DirectorTrish SieStarsAnna KendrickRebel WilsonBrittany SnowFollowing their win at the world championship, the now separated Bellas reunite for one last singing competition at an overseas USO tour, but face a group who uses both instruments and voices.Like the other two Pitch Perfect movies, I saw this primarily for Anna Kendrick, but there were other aspects of the movie that made it worthwhile besides the music.
- DirectorAdam Egypt MortimerStarsAndrew BryniarskiJustin PrenticeRonen RubinsteinA bullied teenager is sent to a reform school where he accidentally summons the spirit of a girl, herself a victim of bullying, who takes vengeance on his tormentors.Yeah, I saw it for Sierra McCormick.
- DirectorJosh LawsonStarsBojana NovakovicJosh LawsonDamon HerrimanThe secret lives of five suburban couples living in Sydney reveal both the fetishes and the repercussions that come with sharing them.Honestly, I can't remember why I wanted to see it. But the storyline involving the video interpreter for the hearing impaired helping the deaf cartoonist call a phone sex operator is the best one, if not the only good one.
- DirectorAnthony LefresneStarsErin SandersAlex Paxton-BeesleyCatherine DentA teenager becomes overwhelmed with guilt after her lies to support a friend's claim of sexual assault lead to the accused teacher's suicide. As expected, I saw it for Erin Sanders, who looked really gorgeous throughout the movie.
- DirectorRichie KeenStarsIce CubeCharlie DayTracy MorganWhen one school teacher unwittingly causes another teacher's dismissal, he is challenged to an after-school fight.Mainly for the scene where Ally Campbell (Alexa Nisenson) sings "I Don't Fuck With You," by Big Sean in the school talent show as a means of telling off a school bully.
- DirectorK. Asher LevinStarsSimon RexRyan WhitneySarah GilmanAlex and EJ are brothers with nothing in common. Alex is a straight A student who desperately wants to be cool and win the affection of Lo (the coolest girl in school). EJ is a former high school legend living at home, wasting away in middle management in GE's innovation lab with dreams of becoming the next Mark Zuckerberg. When Alex and EJ's parents leave town for their second honeymoon, the boys join forces to throw a legendary high school party with hopes of making Alex the king of his class and EJ the next great app developer.Mostly for Sarah Gilman and Ryan Newman, but other aspects of the movie made me want to see it too.
- DirectorErik Van LooyStarsKarl UrbanJames MarsdenWentworth MillerFive married guys secretly share a penthouse loft in the city where they can carry out hidden affairs. The fantasy becomes a nightmare, however, when they discover a dead woman in the loft and realize one of the group must be involved.Only because Kali Rocha was in it, and some of her scenes were the most enjoyable. Otherwise it's kind of hard to get into a movie like this where every main male character is a total dickhead.
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsLeonardo DiCaprioBrad PittMargot RobbieA faded television actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles.Partially because I wanted a little Tarantino revisionist history, and partially because I wanted to see if Julia Butters' role was worth all the Oscar Buzz.
- DirectorTodd GraffStarsDon DixonDaniel LetterleJoanna ChilcoatAfter a series of Broadway flops, songwriter Bert Hanley (Dixon) goes to work at a musical camp for young performers. Inspired by the kids, he finds an opportunity to regain success by staging an altogether new production. It's for Anna Kendrick. What else do I have to say about this?
- DirectorGene NelsonStarsRoddy McDowallDebbie WatsonGil PetersonA young, millionaire rock promoter decides to create a new boy/girl duo team for his teen TV dance show by teaming up an ambitious go-go dancer and a has-been pop star and presenting them to the public as a new romantic pair.Mainly for the presence of Teri Garr as one of the "Whiz-Bam Girls" (which something I read once mistakenly called them the "Whiz Bang Girls.")
- DirectorGene StupnitskyStarsJacob TremblayKeith L. WilliamsBrady NoonThree 6th-grade boys ditch school and embark on an epic journey while carrying accidentally stolen drugs, being hunted by teenage girls, and trying to make their way home in time for a long-awaited party.Primarily for Midori Francis, as one of the teenage partying drug addicts. That and the raunchy humor reminiscent of teenexploitation movies of the late-1970's,
- DirectorTom SchillerStarsTeri GarrLaraine NewmanAl ManciniNot only did I see this for Teri Garr, but the ridiculous and hilarious premise behind the TV special.
- DirectorChris AddisonStarsAnne HathawayRebel WilsonAlex SharpTwo con women - one low rent and the other high class - team up to take down the men who have wronged them.I know it was a female remake of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," but I still saw it for Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, and surprisingly more for Rebel Wilson.
- DirectorTim HillStarsGrumpy CatMegan CharpentierDaniel RoebuckGrumpy Cat is an Internet meme sensation with over 6 million Facebook friends, who has graced the cover of New York Magazine, is the spokescat for Friskies, appeared on American Idol and the MTV Movie Awards.Obviously, this one was for Aubrey Plaza.
- DirectorMalcolm D. LeeDavid ZuckerStarsSimon RexAshley TisdaleCharlie SheenA couple begin to experience some unusual activity after bringing their lost nieces and nephew home. With the help of home-surveillance cameras, they learn they're being stalked by a nefarious demon. For a certain scene involving Ava Kolker, which I won't mention, but some people probably know. Also because Ashley Tisdale looked really good in the movie. It didn't really turn out as bad as I thought it would be though.
- DirectorBenny FineStarsDanielle CampbellJoel CourtneyMadelaine PetschOn the first day of high school, two friends split before reconnecting three years later to sabotage prom. This is a movie that I really wanted to like, because of my contempt for high school proms. Sadly, the ending ruined the movie for me.
- DirectorJesper W. NielsenStarsStephania PotalivoAmalie DollerupBirgitte FederspielIda and her family are recovering from the divorce. She is looking forward to the upcoming dance contest. She is also growing up and developing romantic urges of her own. But romance almost destroyed her family and almost cost her her life and Ida wants nothing to do with it. Which is stronger, biology or will-power.This is a weird one. I was looking for more stuff on the web about the comparison of Julia Butters with Danielle Panabaker, and somehow this short film from Denmark came up. I tried to watch it on Dailymotion, which claimed to have a Danish-English translation feature attached to it, but it really didn't.
- DirectorFrank CoraciStarsAdam SandlerDrew BarrymoreWendi McLendon-CoveyAfter a bad blind date, a man and woman find themselves stuck together at a resort for families, where their attraction grows as their respective kids benefit from the burgeoning relationship.Believe it or not, part of the reason for this is Bella Thorne's storyline in the movie, i.e.; her struggles to deal with her identity as a young woman and her desire for the opposite sex, despite spending much of her life raised as a female jock.
- DirectorKieran MulroneyMichele MulroneyStarsJeff DanielsEmma StoneRyan ReynoldsA washed-up writer forms an unlikely friendship with a teenager from Long Island.Because part of the movie was shot in Medford, New York, more specifically a quick scene at Exit 65 on the Long Island Expressway. But IMDb didn't have that info yet.
- DirectorJeffrey BlitzStarsReece ThompsonAnna KendrickNicholas D'AgostoLooking for answers to life's big questions, a stuttering boy joins his high school debate team.Yes, I saw it for Anna Kendrick, but that was easy to guess. I wanted to catch some of her early work before the Pitch Perfect Trilogy and after Camp that had nothing to do with the Twilight saga.
- DirectorRaja GosnellStarsMatthew LillardFreddie Prinze Jr.Sarah Michelle GellarAfter an acrimonious break up, the Mystery Inc. gang are individually brought to an island resort to investigate strange goings on.For the deleted scene where Velma (Linda Cardellini) supposedly gets drunk and belts out her own overly seductive cover of "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," by Frankie Valli.
- DirectorPaul MiddleditchStarsCraig RobinsonAnna KendrickJohn Francis DaleyTwo teens battle their way through a religious apocalypse on a mission to defeat the Antichrist.Calum Worthy outside of kiddie-fare like "Austin & Ally," Anna Kendrick, and what appears to be a spoof of those "Left Behind" movies. Three things that should've made it better than it really was. Having said that, I still liked it better than F*** the Prom.
- DirectorBryan BuckleyStarsMelissa RauchGary ColeHaley Lu RichardsonA foul-mouthed former gymnastics bronze medalist with local celebrity status reluctantly trains a rising Olympics aspirant. For Melissa Rauch. What else? I could've done without being forced to watch the red band trailer for "Sausage Party," though.
- DirectorDennis DuganStarsAdam SandlerSalma HayekKevin JamesAfter their high school basketball coach passes away, five good friends and former teammates reunite for a Fourth of July holiday weekend.Scenes where Cameron Boyce's character helps Ada-Nicole Sanger with various athletic feats makes it worth watching... and they hold hands at the end. It doesn't surprise me that she has a crush on him in "Grown Ups 2."
- DirectorBrad JonesStarsBrad JonesDonald TrumpJust 'cause he's out of office doesn't mean we can't have one final laugh at his expense. The Cinema Snob checks out a low-budget CGI flick about a clone of Trump fighting aliens in a dystopian future. It was just the review by The Cinema Snob that I saw.
- DirectorJames MangoldStarsMatt DamonChristian BaleJon BernthalAmerican car designer Carroll Shelby and driver Ken Miles battle corporate interference and the laws of physics to build a revolutionary race car for Ford in order to defeat Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.Hey, I'm a car freak. What can I say?

- DirectorGordon DouglasStarsJames CoburnLee J. CobbJean HaleSuper-spy Flint takes on a cabal of women plotting to rule the world.Right now, it's primarily for Yvonne Craig.
- DirectorJames LebrechtNicole NewnhamStarsJames LebrechtLionel Je'WoodyardJoseph O'ConorDown the road from Woodstock, a revolution blossomed at a ramshackle summer camp for teenagers with disabilities, transforming their lives and igniting a landmark movement.Recommended by retro-1960's girl, cosplayer and film buff Rachel Boyce, and some others,
- DirectorDamon PackardStarsDamon PackardNicole VanderhoffBeverly MillerJulie, who died of a PCP overdose as a teen in the early '70s, searches from beyond the ethers for her little brother, Bob, an obese watch-seller, who is dying of sucrose intolerance, in the early '90s.This was the The last movie on IMDb with a reference to "Up the Down Staircase," without any reason attached to it, and I had to find out what that reason was.
- DirectorNeil BurgerStarsColin FarrellTye SheridanLily-Rose DeppA crew of astronauts on a multi-generational mission descend into paranoia and madness, not knowing what is real or not.Mostly for Madison Hu.
- DirectorJames NeilsonStarsHayley MillsEli WallachPola NegriA teenager encounters romance, intrigue and a search for stolen jewels during her visit to the island of Crete. For Hayley Mills' first on-screen kiss, and gradual departure from kiddie-fare.
- DirectorHarvey LowryStarsSierra McCormickBrighton SharbinoBo DerekTwo girls realize they're both visiting grandparents they've never met and decide to switch places to see how the other half lives.Mainly because of Sierra McCormick. Also known as "Christmas in the Heartland" and "Southern Christmas."
- DirectorJames NeilsonStarsHayley MillsDorothy McGuireBurl IvesA Bostonian widow moves with her kids to the country.Yeah, I saw this for Hayley Mills too. She thought this was her worst Disney movie, and so did a lot of other people, including her mother. I didn't think it was that bad, and even if you do, you have to admit her performance saved it.
- DirectorJeff LipskyStarsSophia TakalLawrence Michael LevineReed BirneySet on Halloween, a young astronomer who has unexpectedly lost her job, is poised to make perhaps the first reckless decision of her life.Yeah, it was primarily for the sex scenes.
- DirectorRyan RitcheyStarsTrey CallawayBill CotterRoland F. CrumpA loving trip back to the 1964-65 New York World's fair, followed by a fun look at how the fair is still with us today in pop culture, technology, and cultural understanding. influenced by it today.Being born close to where the fair was after it was over, I've got a unique affection for it. Okay, so maybe it's not that absurd of a reason.
- DirectorJohn BurgessStarsShane McRaeAubrey DollarDaniel J. TravantiJosh's girlfriend wants to get married. Molly's boyfriend is married. Josh and Molly fly to the wedding in Chicago together and pretend to be engaged to make their parents happy. Comedy follows...does romance?Only because the lead actress looked a lot like Jennifer Stone.
- DirectorJoe RussoAnthony RussoStarsRyan GoslingChris EvansAna de ArmasWhen the CIA's most skilled operative, whose true identity is known to none, accidentally uncovers dark agency secrets, a psychopathic former colleague puts a bounty on his head, setting off a global manhunt by international assassins.I won't deny it, I saw it for Julia Butters. I wanted to see her in something after her departure from "American Housewife."
- DirectorMichael PavoneStarsEd HarrisChase EllisonMolly ParkerIn 1965, 13 y.o. paperboy Andy's paired up with a geek on a project in the popular junior high teacher's class. Andy learns and grows from it.Two reasons; 1)My thing for 1960's girls, and 2)To track down all the cars and trucks for IMCDb.
- DirectorJonathan MilottCary MurnionStarsLulu WilsonKevin JamesJoel McHaleA teenager's weekend at a lake house with her father takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts wreaks havoc on their lives.Sort of a gender-reversed and more violent version of "Home Alone."
- DirectorAdam ShankmanStarsAmy AdamsPatrick DempseyMaya RudolphFifteen years after her happily ever after, Giselle questions her happiness, inadvertently turning the lives of those in the real world and Andalasia upside down in the process.Just as in the original, Amy Adams made me want to watch it. On second thought, that's not really so absurd.
- 1982–198924mTV-PG7.4 (145)TV EpisodeDirectorWill MackenzieStarsMeredith BaxterMichael GrossMichael J. FoxSkippy is smitten with Mallory's friend Jane, and asks Alex to talk to her on his behalf. But when Alex learns he is the object of Jane's longtime affection, he finds himself getting involved with her, and hiding the truth from Skippy.I've only seen part of this episode, but there are two other words that make me want to see the rest; Michelle Meyrink.
- DirectorLee H. KatzinRobert McKimsonStarsMichael A. MillerRay ChippewayDennis LardenA rock band becomes embroiled in foreign affairs when they're sent to go on tour in Albania as a cover to find hostages in a remote castle held by Communist enemies of the U.S.I had to see if it's as bad as everybody says it is, and it is. The question now is, would this be worthy of coverage on Rifftrax?
- DirectorMatthew OgensStarsChristopher Lloyd DennisMaxwell AllenJennifer WengerChronicles the lives of four mortal men and women who work as characters on the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard.Mostly for the guy who dresses like Superman and thinks he was Sandy Dennis' long lost son.
- DirectorChristopher WinterbauerStarsTheo TaplitzLulu WilsonSosie BaconIn an alternative 1990s equal parts Yorgos Lanthimos and Todd Solondz (but gentler), an awkward young teen must complete a school requirement in which students wear electronic collars that detach only upon engaging in their first kiss.Sure, I can relate to the struggles to find a girlfriend. But something about this movie gave me a vibe similar to "Napoleon Dynamite," and that's NOT a good thing.
- DirectorColin TrevorrowStarsNaomi WattsJaeden MartellJacob TremblayWith instructions from her genius son's carefully crafted notebook, a single mother sets out to rescue a young girl from the hands of her abusive stepfather.A smart kid fights an untouchable neighborhood child abuser (later from the grave with the help of her mother), then the movie starts to go wrong.
- DirectorNorman JewisonStarsSteve McQueenFaye DunawayPaul BurkeA debonair, adventuresome bank executive believes he has pulled off the perfect multi-million dollar heist, only to match wits with a sexy insurance investigator who will do anything to get her man.Only because Carol Corbett has a minor role in the movie. Now I have to find a way to rent or borrow a DVD copy so I can capture images of her and post them to IMDb.
- DirectorChristian DuguayStarsMila KunisGregory SmithPeter StormareA group of at-risk teens are sent to a what they think is a rehabilitation program on Fiji, but it's really a prison-like camp where kids are abused and brainwashed.Looks like somebody tapped into my fantasy about blowing up wilderness therapy death camps like 'Tranquility Bay." On second thought, maybe that's not such an absurd reason.
- DirectorKevin BurnsStarsKevin BurnsAngela CartwrightVeronica CartwrightThe Robinsons have remained stranded with lost hope. But with the help of a mysterious alien, they discover a huge supply of Deutronium. The planet's surface is shifting rapidly, and they have no choice but to attempt a return back to Earth.Poor Bill Mumy wanted to bring the series to a decent conclusion, but Irwin Allen wouldn't let him. Now with this table read, we'll get a better idea of what he had in mind.
