- Delhi-based Kamla lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her widower dad, Dindayal, and is a popular stage singer and dancer. She goes for a holiday in scenic Kulu, meets with flute-player and singer Sarju, and both fall in love with each other and both decide to get married. Kamla returns home and convinces her employer, Kunver Shamsher Singh, to let Sarju also sing on stage. Shortly thereafter Sarju and his sister, Janki, move in with them. Sarju is given a new look and name, Suraj Kumar, and soon Kamla and Suraj become a popular stage and singing pair. Kamla arranges for Janki's marriage with Agra-based Ashok, while her dad also finalizes her very own marriage with Suraj on the same day. On the way back from Agra, Suraj's has an accident, he does survive but is grievously injured. After he recuperates he finds he cannot speak due to a brain blood clot. Janki's marriage takes place and she re-locates to Agra. But everything changes for Suraj as he shunned by everyone. Even Dindayal insults him, compelling him to re-locate to Kulu, but Kamla manages to pacify him. The next day Kamla is shocked to see her father lying lifeless and Suraj holding a bloodied knife. The question remains: What will Kamla do under these circumstances?
- Proud, wealthy, and haughty Kiran meets with down-to-earth middle-class fellow collegian, Shekhar, and after several clashes and misunderstandings, both fall in love and decide to get married. Shekhar meets with Kiran's dominating mom and mousy dad, and is told that he must successfully pass a test that will be put to him through Kiran's mom, to which he agrees. Subsequently, he is put to the test, and succeeds, much to Kiran's delight. The marriage is performed with great pomp and ceremony, and Shekhar moves in with Kiran and her family. He soon realizes that his presence is next to a lowly servant. He rebels and wants Kiran to leave with him. But Kiran asks him to be patient. Thereafter twin girls are born (Ganga and Jamuna). Shekhar still feels that they would be better off living away from Kiran's family, differences arise, and Shekhar moves out with Ganga. Years later, the twins Ganga and Jamuna meet at a school outing and both decide to switch places to see how it is like on the other side. Both twins then devise a scheme that will bring their proud grandmother to her heels, and bring their parents together.
- Amar Kumar is an eligible young man, and his parents feel that he should get married. They introduce him to Bishambernath, his wife, and their daughter, Roopa. Amar also gets to meet Roopa's cousin, Shobha, who is treated like a servant in their house, and is attracted to her. When Roopa finds out that Amar is showing an interest in Shobha, she physically slaps and beats Shobha senseless. Shobha, afraid of another beating from Roopa, keeps away from Amar. Amar has to go abroad for two or three years. He choses not to make any commitment as to marriage until his return. Shortly after he leaves, Roopa and her mom beat up poor Shobha again and have her thrown out. She relates this story to Amar's parents', who feel sorry for her and allow her to live at their house. Things take a turn for the worse for Shobha, when Amar's mom finds out from Roopa's mom, that Shobha had been asked to leave as she is pregnant, with the identity of the father unknown.

The operation takes place but she is still unable to see, and when they return home there is more bad news as Ramdas has been arrested for killing Dindayal's chauffeur, is found guilty, and sentenced to two years in prison. Questions that remain unanswered: Why did Ramdas commit this crime; will Shanti regain her sight; what impact will Ramdas' conviction have on Basantpur; and what will be the fate of Ramdas and his family after he completes his time in prison?

A short visit to a small village inspires Sunil to come and stay at that village and serve poor villagers, who do not have a single doctor in nearby dozens of villages. He comes to the village and sets up a hospital with limited facilities. He encounters village belle Phoolwa and his father Dayal. Phoolwa cooks food for Sunil and also helps him in routine hospital activities. Sunil and Phoolwa fall in love and decides to marry but Dayal opposes this alliance because Phoolwa is not his real daughter but his younger brother dacoit Lakhan's, who wants to kill Sunil since he is son of a police officer who wants to arrest him. Police force raids Lakhan's vicinity to arrest him but he only gets injured and escapes. Dayal and Phoolwa finds and brings him to surrender to the police and get him treated by doctor Sunil. But Lakhan dies. D.I.G. accepts Phoolwa as his daughter in law.

Where they meet and the cupid strikes. Together they decide to give life one more tries; on the other hand, we get to see another couple Lalu and Leela. Leela is a cousin of Tapas and Lalu, the goon with a heart of gold is a neighbour of Mina. Lalu and Leela were married in the childhood, but they were separated due to unfortunate circumstances. Tapas and Mina in search of a living starts to work for a millionaire and his wife respectively. But problem arises again as the employer thinks that Tapas is having an affair with his wife and fires him. Mina breaks down and starts to search for Tapas as he goes missing. Finally, during the climax Mina and Tapas get reunited and so does Lalu and Leela, and the audience gets to see a happy ending.
- Widowed and elderly industrialist Sulakshana Devi allows her business and estate to be taken care of by her nephew, Balwant. Shortly after her return from the overseas her only son, Ravi gets killed in a car accident planned by Balwant as he has an agenda of acquiring her estate and propriety. The news of Ravi's death devastates and leaves Sulakshana in a state of shock after which she recovers only to meet a pregnant woman named Kamini who claim that she is carrying Ravi's child. Sulakshana disbelieves this and asks Kamini to leave; after Kamini's departure one of Ravi's friend, Sanjay Gupta confirms the fact that Ravi and Kamini did have a relationship. Sulakshana then send her men to man-hunt for Kamini but to no avail. Several years later Suakshana is approached by a young woman named Seema who is claiming that she is Ravi's progeny only to be accepted by Sulakshana. But what Sulakshana does not know is that she will soon meet Seema's uncle who both plans to con her into blindly signing away all her property and estate in their name whiles on the other hand a male name Arun Kumar who is her new estate assistant and another fake who in reality is her real grandchild. Unfortunately Balwant has plans to strike again this time by killing all of them so that he can finally inherit all the family's assets.

The Indian Army wants to destroy this secret airport and sends a crack Commando unit under Major Ram, who sets out to carry out this task. What Ram does not know is that this mission has also been compromised and he and his men are all set to walk into a carefully planned trap by the Japanese - who will ensure that no one survives to tell this story.

Having gotten a quick spiel about reincarnation from her grandmother, Raji pictures her late mother in a rose. Lakshmi stumbles upon there by chance, and provides a voice, pretending to be her motehr. Will Shekhar find out about Lakshmi? Will the Grandmother? Will Raji believe Shekhar won't hurt her? Will Shekhar and Lakshmi get together? Watch the film and find out.
- Professor Kumar lives a wealthy life with his wife, a son, Jyoti, and two daughters, Rekha and Chitra. His son is addicted to alcohol and stays away from home, often returning late at night or not at all. Rekha is traditional, orthodox, and is willing to marry the man of her father's choice. Chitra, on the other hand is the opposite, extrovert, outgoing, and having an affair with a Judge's son, Ramesh. Chitra soon finds out that Ramesh is an alcoholic, and a womanizer, but she would still like him to marry her, as she is expecting his child. Then a young man, Prakash, finds out that Prof. Kumar had an affair with his mother, Parvati, and abandoned her in a pregnant state, when he found out that she was going to lose her vision. Prakash now wants to expose this two-faced professor, and get some justice for his mother. Faced with a scandal over his pregnant daughter, will Kumar be able to handle Prakash's accusations?
- Inspector Shankar (Biswajeet) is assigned to investigate the mysterious death of Sunder Singh (Sujit Kumar). During this process, he meets a beautiful young and rich heiress named Sheil (Mala Sinha), who has an impaired memory, and is being looked after by Sunder Singh's aunt (Nirupa Roy). He falls in love with Sheila. Sheila confides in Shankar that she thinks she is haunted by a scarred-faced man. As the investigation progresses, Shankar gets the feeling that the results will change their lives forever.
