- The Kingfish tries to sell a friend's antique shop so he can earn $250 commission. Naturally this involves his usual schemes and this episode has some classic malapropisms.
- Kingfish concocts a plot to collect a $200 fee by getting Andy to become a welder in Arabia. His plan is to convince him that he is going on an elaborate vacation.
- Sapphire tells Kingfish to burn some old clothes; rather, he tries to pawn them off on Andy. An old telephone number in a pocket reads, "The Best in Town." This leads to a few predicaments beyond Kingfish's control.
- Andy advertises for a wife. The girl he chooses needs expensive dental work. After the work is done she tells him she is going to marry her old sweetheart.
- In order to receive his $2,000 share of the will the Kingfish must have a male child so he decides to adopt Andy and try to pull that off.
