- "When Fact Met Fiction" is a sitcom style web-series that follows the people who work at Southern Sunset Magazine. They each have their dilemmas. Especially, the Frank family. Celeste Frank is trying to keep her growing business from falling apart. Sunny Frank, Celeste's 16 year old daughter needs to find a way to pay off the mailboxes she has backed over so she can finally get her drivers license. And most importantly, Jon Frank wants to win the heart of Southern Sunset's new editor Olivia Smith without her finding out that he is famous romance writer Nathaniel Embers.
- Eddie Billings has been suspicious of his boss's habits and behaviors for some time. But when he overhears a cryptic conversation between his boss and an unidentified individual, Eddie believes that something bad is about to go down. Later that day while Eddie is listening to a conspiracy theory talk show, many of the behaviors that his boss demonstrates are listed among the tell, tell signs that an individual may in fact be a reptilian. Convinced that his boss is a reptilian spy, Eddie decides to prove his theory by following his boss to the meeting he overheard him planning earlier that day. As Eddie trails his boss he is surprised to find out that the mysterious meeting place is a seedy looking nightclub on the outskirts of town. However, the truly surprising piece of the mystery comes from what Eddie finds his boss doing inside the nightclub.
- Southern Sunset gains a new employee as Vic Freeman returns. Jon, who has returned early from his book tour is upstaged by the arrival of Giovanni, who won't seem to go away. Jon questions Olivia about her feelings.
- The staff writer for Southern Sunset Magazine has just walked out the door as new editor Olivia Smith arrives leaving the magazine's owner Celeste Frank in a bind. With a deadline looming Celeste requests help from her brother-in-law Jon Frank.
