- Through a combination of hand-held and hidden camera footage, Lucent explores the darker side of Australia's pig farming industry, highlighting the day-to-day cruelty accepted by the industry as standard practice.
- 29 November 2018 was the day when Bear Witness Australia and Aussie Farms arranged an action, which involves around 70 activists from across Australia raiding the Luv-A-Duck slaughterhouse in Nhill, often called "Kill-a-Duck". This abattoir uses a slightly different system of carbon dioxide gas stunning which is regarded as "best practice", but still excruciating for the pigs.
