- Is animal communication possible? The filmmaker Salome Pitschen explores the world of communication between animals and humans in an attempt to answer this question. She wants to understand her excited dog Bina. On an international journey that leads her from Switzerland to England and to the USA, she discovers what it means to communicate with animals. Along the way she meets two horse teachers, an animal communicator, a biologist, an animal therapist and the founder of "The Trust Technique". Getting familiar with animal connection, Salome learns astonishing things about animal communication in its many forms whether it's with her dog Bina, other dogs, horses, cats, dolphins, or a goat.
- 'Alpsummer' provides deep insight into everyday life in the alps of Central Switzerland. It tells the story of four families of different generations, who administer these alps with their animals in conventional ways. The modest life they chose to live during the summer also dictates the rest of the year's cycle. In a time in which society is more and more dependent on consumption, it's refreshing to see how a simple life can make us happy. Next to the ever-ringing bells of the goat and sheep, the breathtaking landscapes are accompanied by the archaic 'Naturjuuz' (and old way of jodeling).
- 'in the woods' shows a respectful treatment of the woods and gives a atmospheric insight into the work in the forest, wood cutting and log rafting; a unique tradition which has survived modern technologie and progress. It is probably the only lake in Central Europe where you can find professional log rafters these days.
