- With the explosion of new technologies, the importance of physical activity - at home, at work or during leisure time - continues to decline. Worldwide, 38% of the adult population falls short of the World Health Organization's recommendations in this area. This figure is twice as high in developed countries: one French person in two admits to doing no sport at all. While we know the undeniable beneficial effects of exercise on the body and mind, it's often difficult to resist the - quite natural - temptation to make the least effort.
- The documentary follows the four musicians of the band Kofelgschroa from Oberammergau, Bavaria as they are trying to find out what the future of their music project will look like. The band is deeply rooted in their Bavarian origin - as they speak and sing in Bavarian dialect - and their relationship to the region they come from is part of the focus of the movie. The director Barbara Weber accompanied the band for six years, showing the highs and lows of a young band trying to find out who they are and what they are looking for in the future - as a band and personally.
- Manfred and his 89-year-old father do not spare any punches. Since his stroke, the former chef of a service station is constantly close to tears, while his son is finally free to undertake the great renovation. Early on, old Lenz laments: "This is the end." But dying is out of the question. Nobody will be left in the lurch. Pig's head, liver dumpling soup and pale ale from the bottle hold body, mind and the shop together. With his portrait of the service station "B12" between Munich and Passau and its elderly regulars, Christian Lerch has made a slightly different documentary film. He shows Bavaria as if from a sketch of Karl Valentin: rough, anarchic, with a beer-infused depth.
- A terrible suspicion hangs over a scout group's perfect world. 30 years later, the filmmaker and his companions face up to the dark side of the campfire idyll.
- In M. H. Rosenmüller's documentary, Horn and Baumann meet deep in a remote forest and want to explore what meaning traditional values and home have in a modern world.
