Casper meets Ming for the first time and begins to like her, especially for her determination. Irene is surprised when Ming manages to persuade James. In a twist of fate, on the day of the show's press conference, the dove used crashes and dies on the spot. The media makes a fuss of it and the show's sponsors are unhappy. James insists on using video for the show, to the dismay of Ming. Due to her opposition, he challenges her to break one of his tricks. If she succeeds, he'll give in. With her perseverance, she does it. Irene is wary of James' promise, and true to her suspicions, he not only releases a dove on the day of the performance, the dove 'dies' onstage.
