- This video is the sequel to Mylène Farmer's video for 'Libertine' which itself is a sequel of sorts to her 'Plus grandir'. It is set on 18 August 1757. A young English drummer discovers the still body of Libertine, covered in blood, which is how the video for 'Libertine' ended. He calls William, an older soldier, who believes that Libertine is a man, while the young boy says she is a girl. Soon they realize that she is alive and take her to the camp for treatment. Meanwhile, the captain of the British Army realises that his troops have taken the wrong road and are in France rather than being in Prussia. Then, as the song begins, the captain brings a fruit bowl to Libertine who is sleeping in a tent. With his whip, he raises the sheet to look at her buttocks (the theme of the song is about the love of buttocks), but the young drummer enters the tent and surprises him doing that. To punish him, the captain flogs him in front of many other soldiers. He then hands the whip over to Libertine, who has been awakened by the noise, expecting her to also flog the boy, but instead she turns and whips the captain's face. In the tent, the captain, very angry, throws some clothes to Libertine and looks at her when she undresses. Then she breaks a bottle over his head and runs away on horseback. The captain pursues her, finds her lying hurt near a tree, and carries her in his arms back to the camp. While they make love (watched by the drummer), the rival of Libertine, in connivance with the French army, brings prostitutes in the camp to distract the British troops. The next day, the French army bombards the English camp, while the rival shoots the captain and kills him. Libertine, who watches the scene, fights and eventually kills her with a bayonet. As the burning camps are left filled with dead bodies scattered on the ground, Libertine picks up the young drummer, while the soldiers of the French army watch them leaving on horseback.
- God sends his best angel to Earth to carry out a delicate mission. This is the English language version of "Que mon coeur lâche".
- Farmer appears in the movie in two roles: as a woman of high society, and as a street prostitute. The partner of the singer in the video is an American TV actor Giancarlo Esposito, who also played two roles: a businessman and a pimp. Prostitutes, appearing in the video are not actresses, but real representatives of their profession. Mylène admitted that she fell in love with this role. Abel Ferrara recalled that Farmer later thanked him for his professional work.
- The video tells the story of a little disjointed puppet which a puppeteer (Frédéric Lagache, who will turn in the 1992 video for " Beyond My Control ") is attached. They are chased out of a cabaret in which they gave performances of the "Adventures of No Counterfeiting". Here they are wandering in a dark and rainy landscape through dunes before arriving at a lugubrious circus (whose name is Giorgino Circus) installed on a beach, circus near which are trailers where live "sad clowns" and Which will prove to be very malicious. A mysterious woman living in this circus will give life to the puppet in the guise of a beautiful young woman whose puppeteer fall madly in love. Unfortunately, the separation from this woman will put an end to this magical metamorphosis. "Mylène" will become a simple lifeless puppet in the despair of the ventriloquist.
