Roman Holiday (1953)
Incredible movie
Roman holiday is one of the most incredible movies I have ever seen. I came across this movie by chance. I watched Charade starring Audrey and Cary Grant. Audrey's acting in that movie impressed me. That's why I decided to watch Roman holiday too even though it is quite old. To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to watching this movie because it is an old black and white movie. However, I was wrong. I was almost crying when I finished watching this movie. I have never seen a movie, which had so much romance, comedy and emotional drama at the same time. I strongly recommend that you should watch this movie if you are a young person who does not really like old movies.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)
Beautiful adventure
This movie is enjoyable for those of all ages.I have seen it several times and each time I am enchanted by the characters and magic. The cast is outstanding, the special effects are great. The main character's name is Harry, a mistreated boy who has special ability. He embarks on a adventure to the Hogwarts school. He meets Ron and Hermione, one an adorable mischief maker, the other a very strict and studious young lady. Together, the trio try to set things right in the school and outside the school. The adventure attracts all the audience's attention until the end of the film.
Tonari no Totoro (1988)
Great movie
My neighbor Totoro is one of the best movies among Hayao Miyazaki's film. I watched it for the first time when I was 10 years old back in elementary school days.
This movie is about family and love. The family faces many difficulties throughout the film and overcome them together. Totoro plays an important role in the process.
Not only the picture, but also the acting of the voice actors is awesome. Their acting is awesome. I think this is because the director wrote a great screenplay, which showed how the acting should be in the film.
Also this movie has great ups and downs, which keep the audience's attention. Overall, I strongly recommend that you see this movie.
Titanic (1997)
One of the best movies
Titanic is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I still remember the first time I saw it back in junior high school days. Starting on a single ship, it is a story of love beyond the difference in economic position. In the first half of the movie, you can enjoy a pure love story. However, in the second half, it changes to a panic story with life and death. The sinking of the ship has shortened the distance between the two main characters. The scene where a person falls from a ship is miserable and can not be forgotten.
Back to the Future (1985)
Best movie
Back To The Future is my favorite movie. I saw it for the first time when I was 10 years old back in elementary school days.
It is a movie about time traveling. Time traveling has always been exciting and fun. It's 1985 and Marty McFly is a typical teenager who doesn't like his parents and who has some problems at school. His best friend is Doc Brown, a weird inventor of useless machines. Their acting is awesome. I think this is not only because they are talented, but also because the director wrote a great screenplay, which showed how the acting should be in the film.
Also this movie has great ups and downs, which keep the audience's attention. Overall, I strongly recommend that you see this movie.
J'attendrai le suivant... (2002)
Good movie
At the middle of the movie, I was not able to understand what was going on, but as the movie went on I gradually got the point of the movie. Although it is only the man who is speaking on the train, I was able to guess what the woman in need of and the status of the woman from her facial expressions and behaviors. I think that the fact that woman does not speak even though she was tricked by the man makes this movie very interesting and as a result attracts the audience's attention. However, it must be very difficult to enjoy this movie if the woman's acting is not good. I learned that how the acting such as detailed facial expressions is important when you want to tell the feeling of a character without dialogue. I will pay attention to facial expressions and behaviors when I make a short movie next time.
Born with It (2015)
Good movie
Born with it is a film with a great moral lesson for representing to the audience how Japanese children treat students who do not look like Japanese. The film is of a young Japanese/African American boy and the discrimination he faces at elementary school because of his skin color. The acting was very good and precisely shows the public the prejudice found in Japanese schools. I have seen this kind of discrimination happening several times when I was an elementary school student. There are many students who have non-Japanese traits and are suffering from racial discrimination. The main purpose and goal of this film does not seem to receive an award, rather to show the Japanese public and social media this controversial issues in Japanese schools. I would recommend this film for not only Japanese but also people all over the world to rethink the issue of racial discrimination.
The Crush (2010)
Good movie
The film is of a young boy that has a crush on his teacher. As a matter of course, She does not take it seriously and when the boy sees that she has a fiance, he challenges her fiance to a duel. The film was very amusing to watch and the ending is worth it. At the beginning of the film, I thought this film is heartwarming. When the boy realizes that the teacher has a fiance and gets his father's real gun, however, I thought this film was going to be a dark film. But at the end, it turns out that we see a more comedic approach that I really enjoyed. In this way, the creators of this film do a good job of attracting the audience's attention from the beginning to the ending.
Overall, this film was very interesting and entertaining to me. The character of the boy is especially an interesting and entertaining character to watch.
