La Noche más Larga (2020)
Simple description.
I'm just gonna say this, decent acting with an insufficient story development inside an irrationally sensationalist script.
Time After Time (1979)
YOU JUST BROKE THE RULES TO CREATE A PIECE OF AWESOME SCI-FI ART.
Everything it's just amazing, the script destroying limits, the acting is wow, i really mean it, the ph pretty slick, well, you know the FX for that time could already have being a little better, but heck it, they made them pretty trippy, COOL SUPER COOL, LOVE IT.
Knives Out (2019)
An achieved work, though there's something that doesn't make sense.
The blood stain in the shoe makes no sense at all, just think about it, if the detective Benit Blanc has known that she had that stain since the begining of the story as he says at the end, don't you think he should, as a smart detective, have sent that to the lab to just delete doubts, it seems like it's might set as a kind of strategy from him to keep her trust (maybe, it's simply a conjecture), so, that, for the first watch at least (i might have to watch it again anyway), objectively speaking, makes no sense, because that could just completely affect the rest of the story and the treat towards her (so, what you're saying is that she didn't notice that she had a clear stain on a pure white shoe in all that time?, interesting) and the tape disappearance (which is maybe posible because the Detective Elliott was simply distracted), though apart from that details the movie works well enough and keeps the viewer intrigued during it's long runtime, thanks for reading humans.
Ad Astra (2019)
NOT A SCI-FI - A REAL FUTURISTIC MOVIE - I REALLY LIKE IT.
From my point of view it's a FUTURISTIC PSYCOLOGICAL DRAMA and considering the directoral idea of the movie, this one is really accomplished and i loved very much how the it remark on the psychology of Roy and the acting of Brad Pitt was superb for it's character, all of them are just amazingly acted, Donald Sutherland and Tommy Lee Jones just the old all experimented that knows how, the photography amazing, though i would have loved some more camera movements or angles, but it's incredible enough, the script may have some flaws in some parts just continuing with the story and not explaining some little things, anyhow i understand that, it's NOT A SLOW BURN FOR ME, it's keep you interested every moment, it's not really difficult to understand, the only things that could have been better for me are the feelings in the relationship father & son, though it's weel done and the showing of the future advances of the world are like standard for me, appart from that i really enjoyed the idea of - we are really alone in the damn universe -, the lunar pirates and wars, the revenge of the monkeys, that was also something that needed more explanation maybe, but i thing we all get it and the visuals and CGI/VFX are just really frickin' real, i just have to congratulate the VFX artist for a god damn well done job and to close this one, PEOPLE, STOP DOING WHAT A REVIEW SAYS AND GO WATCH THE MOVIES AND JUDGE FOR YOURSEVES, YOU MAY NOT EVEN AGREE WITH ME AND THAT'S PERFECT, WE ALL CAN DEBATE POINT OF VIEWS, - THIS MOVIE IS FUTIRISTICALLY GREAT - WATCH IT.
Blow-Up (1966)
I was like OK i would probably not do the same but makes sense.
DON'T GET IN TROUBLE YEAH, BUT, MORALITY, ART, REALIZE WHICH IS THE REAL ART, BEING PRETENTIOUS IS BAD?, DOES THE WORD PRETENTIOUS EVEN MAKES ANY SENSE?, ORIGINALITY?, PROFOUND???, CAMERAS IN THE EXPECTED WAY?, SIMPLE O COMPLEX????, MAKING OF DEATH A PIECE OF ART? .... COULD I CONTINUE¿....
El diablo blanco (2019)
Pretty decent Argentinian 'folk' horror/thriller.
The photography is not too arthouse but works and the point of having a minimally explained mythology is understandable (but you could've explained the meaning/use of some actions carried out the sect members), something that many SouthAmerican horror films do not do or at least not well enough, is the suspense, in this case it seems well achieved from start to finish, although I think that the rope could have been tightened even more and you could've played a little bit more in terms of editing, but well.. it's clear that is a tribute to old slasher type movies mixed with the sects (classic folk horror) thematic, an interesting mix.
What I must point out is that the ending in itself attempts to be more surprising than what it ends up being and although most of the cast is fit for each character, the performance of the main character's actor is not really convincing, but beyond all that, the story works well and it keeps you tense throughout the film duration, congratulations for this work of art, it's quite nice.
