The Adventures of Robin Hood (1955)
Apsolutely amazing!
Perfect series, will never be topped ever. Each episode is its own little story, no "next week" it's all just solid fun with good messages.
Bloody fantastic!
10/10.
The Hound of the Baskervilles (1959)
Excellent Sherlock Holmes film, if a bit confusing at times
The only Sherlock Holmes film starring both Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.
Peter Cushing is perfect in the role as Sherlock and it's an refreshing change to see Lee in the role of the secondary protagonist instead of the antagonist.
The colour is richly made and can still hold up nowadays in quality, for a hammer horror film it is probably one of the better ones.. The use of tension is very well done and subtle, and the film can actually frighten you at times.
The plot (whilst believable) is also very confusing at times and the pacing can be slow to continue in some places, noticeably the middle where I think they sidetrack the main plot line a bit.
Overall the film is an excellent edition to the collection of any major Hammer film fans, notable for it being the only Sherlock Holmes film made by Hammer and one of their first films in Technicolor.
Doragon kuesuto VIII: Sora no daichi to norowareshi himegimi (2004)
A near perfect RPG
This game shows a perfect mix of turn based strategy and Japanese anime. However what makes it better than the other Dragon Quest games is its full English voice actors, which makes it much more enjoyable than reading subtitles. The humour, whilst at times can be a bit silly, is very well done in my opinion and actually made me laugh at loud a couple of times, the graphics are not the best but for the time are absolutely amazing and very nicely stylized.
All in all with over 200 hours of playtime to complete the game and never a moment of boredom I give it the highest possible rating 10/10.
Hollows Grove (2014)
Absolutely dreadful low-budget horror
The acting is terrible, they rely too much on jumpscares and the characters seemed to die off completely randomly. The caretaker smashed through the window with a noose around his head? How did that happen after 22 years of watching the place?
All in all a terrible film, entertaining at times, through its sheer stupidity but overall not a good film at all.
