Ehhh' Wasn't All That!
19 November 2023
I watched this movie cause Peter Deluise was starring in it and in 1991 I was a huge fan of Peter from 21 Jump Street and wanted to see him in something different. He did his best but the script was pretty "campy" typical of a B-Rated movie. It was somewhat entertaining a bit but by the ending I was very disappointed I had high hopes for the film. I haven't seen anything worthwhile that Peter Deluise has done since 21 Jump Street which is sad, he was a very good and funny actor but he was never really in anything that was worth watching since his famous TV character Doug Penhall. What a waste of a Great talent.

Hardly A Prequel. Did not really follow the original storyline.

Warning: Spoilers
1989's Pet Semetary was one of my favorite horror movies as a kid, so I know that movie almost line by line. Now if you haven't seen the original Pet Semetary, or, even Pet Semetary 2 from 1992, you may not understand my reasoning cause some of these reviews were good and people enjoyed this movie and that's great. This is just my opinion from the original movie.

To start with, in the original 1989 Pet Semetary, Judd was at least in his late 60's while in this movie based in 1969 Judd was 23 to 25 yrs old so his age was at least 20 yrs off. In 1969 Judd should have been in his mid 40's NOT his 20's. That's just the beginning of the Mess with this so-called prequel.

Anyway, the original Pet Semetary, "Old Judd" explained an event that happened in 1969 to his new neighbor, Lewis, who moved into the house very close to the Pet Semetary, explaining the background of the Pet Semetary and what was beyond it, The Indian burial ground and how his neighbor, in his grief, knew of the legend of the Indian burial ground so he buried his son who died in Vietnam there to bring him back to life, but when the son came back and basically a Zombie and probably caused some death in the town, (I don't know Judd never really explained other than "Tim" came back an "Abomination") So some of the townsfolk gathered and went to the house and burnt it down with the father and son inside, that was the end of that. Then Judd told the story of when he was a child, his dog "Spot" died and he was so bereft that he buried Spot in the Indian burial ground hoping his furry best friend would come back good as new, but, when the dog came back so vicious and frightful, his mother made him get rid of him screaming "Your dog Smells like the dirt you buried him in". So that tells you that Young Judd had full knowledge of the Indian burial ground and its legend. That scene wasn't even mentioned in this movie and Judd seemed not to have any idea of the Indian burial site and its power. These issues really thru me off watching it because they were really important issues. I was waiting to hear the familiar plots from the first movie, and they just didn't match all that much so how could this movie be a prequel to the original Pet Semetary when the plots don't coincide. Very Confusing. I expected much better since David Duchovny was in the cast which is the main reason I wanted to see this movie. I am now assuming that Pet Semetary Bloodlines is a Prequel to the 2nd remake of Pet Semetary in 2019, which I totally forgot about, that movie was so bad I only watched about 30 minutes and gave up on it. I should've known better that remakes and continuations of classic movies rarely compare to the originals. The exception for that was Pet Semetary 2 that was done back in 1992 which was actually pretty decent, not great but decent. The storyline had that fear, emotion, anticipation, etc. Other than the ending was really corny, but, all in all not a bad sequel to the original. While this movie, not only did the plots not match but there was no "Heart" or real "Feeling" into it. The story was actually kind of "Bland", just running thru the plot. I guarantee this so-called "prequal" will be forgotten just as fast as the re-make from 2019. Such a Shame though. A Prequal to the original 1989 movie had such promise to it if it had better writers who have seen and clearly understood the original movie.

Very Decent Thriller!
19 August 2023
I was skeptical this movie in the beginning hearing some others opinion of it. I just watched it on Netflix and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It was thrilling and horrific. Russell Crowe's portrayal of Fr. Gabrielle was Great in my opinion. There was a sense of humor that Russell Crowe brought to the character that went well with the horror he had to go thru. I don't know how the real Fr. Gabrielle was but I really enjoyed that character. I also loved the boy Henry as the possessed kid he did an Amazing Believable job! The rest of the cast were Awesome also! The movie is much better than whats been released in the last few years!

Saving Grace (2007–2010)
10/10
I Wished this show had a few MORE seasons
27 January 2023
Saving Grace was one of the Best TV shows I have ever watched. It may have been a bit "Risque" at times but it had to be if you were to understand what the show was meaning and ultimately how it finally ended. Holly Hunter was the Best at her portrayal as Dt. Grace Hanadarko and her Angel "Earl" couldn't have been played by a better actor then Leon Rippy! Made me wish that Leon Rippy was my personal Angel "Earl" who wouldn't want this Sweet, Funny, Emotionally Touching man as their Angel. The rest of the cast were also Brilliant! This show touched every emotional side of me and I hated that it ended after only 3 seasons and the finale had me balling like a baby but that is when you finally understood what the whole series was about and the reason why Grace needed her "Last Chance" Angel. She had a job to do and she did it with Courage, Grace and Finesse. I still cry thinking about it. Grace's best friend Rhetta played by Laura San Giacomo was a Fierce, Loyal friend and Laura played it Beautifully and in the end of the series I felt more compassion for her most of all watching her grieve the way she did was heartbreaking. Leon, played by Bokeem Woodbine played the hell out of his part as an deathrow inmate who also shared Earl has his last chance angel and his arc in the movie also had touched me. The there is too much to say about everyone in the show they were all Amazing. I just wished it lasted a little bit longer. That is my only problem with this show. I still miss watching after almost 15 yrs since it went off the air.

What a Heartfelt Movie!!!
1 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This had me in tears practically the whole time. The acting of all characters was amazing! It was mean, heart-wrenching, soul-touching, sad, happy and joyful. What those kids went through to find their home was inspiring especially with the oldest child trying to keep them all together. The old cantankerous woman was actually just a very sad, lonely and regretful person who felt that she let her own children down was too scared to try again to help her grandchildren. But all in all in the end it all worked out Wonderfully! Made me want to move in with the old woman myself. This is a movie I will repeatedly want to watch.

The Watcher (2022– )

The movie had me interested but the ending just confusing.
19 October 2022
I know this movie is very loosely based on a true story where a woman was outbid on her dreamhouse and for revenge she sent scary letters and had deliveries go to the house and even put an add on craigslist or something similar where it stated the new owner's wife wanted to be attacked. The story was even on a Dr. Phil episode interviewing the admitted guilty party. This movie did resemble the bare basic of the true story and had me captivated for about 3 episodes then it just got all too confusing. By the end of the series, I was just glad it was over. I was hoping for a proper conclusion and happy ending. That really didn't happen.

Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)

Does not measure to the first movie, but, it was okay
3 October 2022
I am a huge fan of the first "Hocus Pocus" movie. That movie was done perfectly. I grew up watching it every year and now my kids, nieces and nephews totally love it also. Hocus Pocus 2 was okay to watch. A little too much singing and dancing it was almost like a musical which made this movie a bit "corny" but it wasn't horrible in my eyes. Seeing the Sanderson sisters as young women was really good and gave a bit of history on the witches. I thought the girl who played young Winnifred was really good. The storyline though could have used a bit more depth to the initial story line. But the worst was the singing and dancing, it was just too much. I'm glad I have the Disney Channel and I didn't have to go to a theater to watch this. Paying movie theater money wasn't really worth the film but it was okay to watch from home.

Not a Bad Comedy at all!
6 February 2019
I watched this again recently and this movie since I haven't seen it since I was a kid (movie premiered the year I was born) and doesn't get the props it should. Its a basicly slap-stick style comedy and the whole cast worked well. I always loved McCauley Culken movies. He was a pretty good actor as a kid and a real cutey, (I had a bit of a crush on him when I was 7 or 8 yrs old. Other than the long hair Ted was great too. Don't know why people down it so much. Its not suppose to be some drama or thriller, just a comedy. Well I enjoyed it! :)

The Best "Christmas Carol" version
15 January 2019
I am a closeted George C. Scott fan! I thought he played Scrooge perfectly! He plays "mean" so well like its his first nature, but when he smiles and laughs its a whole new George! This is one of my family's favorite movie traditions every Christmas season besides "Its a Wonderful Life and Christmas Story"

RIP Freddy Mercury!
15 January 2019
My parents were both heavy rock fans growing up in the 80's, they were 11 when MTV premiered on cable and raised me and my siblings on everything from Pat Benatar, AC-DC, Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Heart, Queen, Def Leppard, and a boat-load more rock groups from the 70's and 80's Hair Metal Era. My Mom couldn't wait for this movie to be released in the theaters when she heard they were making the movie on Freddie Mercury. We all LOVED the movie and my mom cried thru half of it. She remembers the day when MTV announced Freddy Mercury interviewed on his admittance he was sick with Aids then the next day his passing away. The movie was moving and (if the movie was true to facts) very sad on what Freddie went thru with his love for Mary and his homosexuality, his music and the relationship with his family and Band-Mates. Freddie was definitely a musical genius! Bohemian Rhapsody is still an extraordinary masterpiece as it was back in the 70's. Its ageless! RIP Freddie! You were a Treasure!

Lethal Weapon (2016–2019)

Damon Wayans ruined the show for Everyone!
8 January 2019
I looked forward to every week when Lethal Weapon was airing. It was an even in my house with this show for my whole family popcorn and all. No other show EVER had that affect on me. Damon Wayans got Clayne fired, in my opinion, because he was jealous because Clayne was getting all the attention while Damon is supposed to be the star. Now that Clayne is gone, Damon decides he is leaving to. What was the point to all that, if he didn't want to be in the show he should have left and the show could found another Murtaugh and moved on with no problem. But Damon didn't want that.. God forbid the show moves on without the star! What a Guy! (Not!!)

Deadly Friend (1986)

It was not meant to be a serious thriller
24 December 2018
It is what it is but still quite entertaining for a stormy Saturday night when I had nothing else to do and saw the title on YouTube. I love "Albert" from LHOTP and never new he did anything else but the TV show. And if I am right the girl is from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Very dated movie, from the beginning is looks like a typical classic 80's movie, but good I liked it! Its a fun and quirky movie just for entertainment. Nothing wrong with that! But that ending... Geezuz! "Bee-Bee!" ;)

A Christmas FamilyTradition.
6 December 2018
My mom and dad were raised on the How Grinch Stole Christmas. They raised their children to every year enjoy the Grinch and the other classics like Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Merry X-mas Charlie Brown, Rudolph, Frosty, The Little Drummer Boy, etc. Now with the grandchildren coming along they are loving the holiday specials that makes the family come together during this wonderful season. It wouldn't be the Holidays without them!! These movies will always be timeless with each generation.

I a HUGE fan of Whoopie movies. I don't agree with a lot her politics etc. but the movies she does are always entertaining. I again just recently watched this movie after about 15 yrs and in this movie I found Neil Patrick Harris amazing and it being his first movie he was great! Especially hearing him do a perfect Jamaican accent.. Loved It!

Well they tried!
19 October 2018
Look ABC, just swallow your pride and bring back Roseanne!! So she tweeted something stupid but firing her from HER own show was just over-doing it. Who gets fired over a Tweet?? You all know ABC jumped the gun. Instead of firing her you all should have just done an episode on the dangers of tweeting under the influence..
