Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part I (2022)
Season 1, Episode 1
8/10
You were my friend Anakin
19 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I have been wanting to watch this show for so long now and I don't know why I kept putting it off for so long. I re-watched Episode I, II and III just so I made sure I had the complete backstory from Obi - Wan and Anakin.

I am not saying the first episode was a masterpiece. It was good to see Ewan McGregor back to portray Obi's character and the absolute MVP of the first episode was most definitely young Leia. The way the young girl portrayed her character while thinking of how Carrie Fisher's character, Leia acted was spot on.

I like the overall storyline, although I am a bit afraid of how it will turn out with the kidnapping and the entire storyline being just about that and most likely Darth Vader wanting to get his hands on Obi - Wan.

I am curious to see how it will play out!

Not a visual masterpiece, but a great storyline!
17 June 2024
I am UTTERLY shocked by how bad the rating is.

Maybe I'm not that big of a Star Wars fan or completely lost the plot.

Don't get me wrong, I've only seen the first two episodes and maybe the rest of the series will be awful, but as the other 5? Episodes haven't been released, I'm still surprised the rating is this bad.

I'm not saying the visuals are as good as any of the other Star Wars movies out there but the overall storyline really captivates me.

This is also my very first Star Wars tv show that I have watched.

I have been meaning to watch Obi Wan Kenobi for a really long time now ( I even re-watched the first three episodes with Anikin) just so I would get the storyline better in case I forgot something, but this came out and figured I should give it a chance as this is one of the newest series out there.

I am really curious what the rest of the episodes will bring I personally really like the first two I have watched already.

One of many romantic comedies
17 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not saying this is a bad movie (I gave it a 6 myself) but I have seen way worse that got a better rating.

It is your standard romantic comedy. I usually prefer to not write any spoilers but I feel with this movie you kind of know how it will end.

You have Noah who is madly in love with Avery but then realizes towards the end he actually should be with Carrie.

I do like what they did with the storyline towards the end to at least add some storyline to it that doesn't constantly involve Noah traveling back in time to make Avery fall in love with him.

Other than a very basic storyline, I did really like the cast and it was your standard feel good movie.

Twilight (I) (2008)

So bad that it's actually good
13 May 2024
I had to give this movie a 10 as it was such a big part of my childhood. I almost fell over (good luck I was sitting down), when I realized this movie is 16 years old. 16 years! I have seen this movie many times around 2008 so now it was a while since I had watched the first movie.

First of all, I was very surprised as to why I was so obsessed with this movie as it is absolutely cringe. The movie is good but I feel like even though the movie is 2-hours long, it is very rushed. It also is just cringe on so many levels. From jumping from one tree to another to being called ''Spider Monkey''. It was bad. And yet a big, fat 10.

This movie was bad in a lot of ways but so good in a lot of other ways. The cast went on to have great careers and was good to see them back. I am looking forward to re-watch the other 4 movies.

Brilliant acting
8 May 2024
I remember seeing this movie years ago, well I say remember. I remember the very first scenes in the movie but yet somehow I have no idea exactly how the movie ends.

I watched this movie which I thought for a second time without knowing how the movie ended, because in fact I didn't. I simply thought I had forgotten about it. Now I actually think I started it and never even finished the movie.

The cast is great. Blake Lively portrays the role of her character absolutely brilliantly. And the whole movie just holds you in a sort of intrigue where you want to find out what happened.

Is it her? Is it Stephanie? The husband? You don't know until you watch until the very end.

A very mysterious and psychologically twisted movie where you don't know who to trust.

Apparently a second one is coming out which I am very much looking forward to.

What exactly happened?
8 May 2024
I liked this movie, but I feel they could have done so much more with it.

The first part of the movie is the constant texting back and forth, then there's the date and then basically nothing happens and makes you wonder when they're going to "drop" the moment that the audience realizes he's either a killer or has women locked up in his basement.

The movie starts of good but I feel like they've missed such a good opportunity to do something else with it.

The movie ends and I feel as a viewer I still kind of wonder what actually happened and what exactly the movie was about.

Would I recommend this to someone? I think so. I would mention that this was a pretty good movie but it starts of good and then it sorts of goes nowhere I suppose?

Tarot coming alive
7 May 2024
I'm actually surprised by the low rating. I am aware that horror-movies or movies of this kind often get a lower rating but I found this movie, although not to be "one of its kind" to be pretty good.

The movie features witchcraft, star signs and of course the use of tarot cards.

I saw an ad of this movie online and watched the trailer and it looked like something I know I would enjoy, which I did.

The set of cards, although creepy were drawn beautifully. The characters coming to life was done great.

The way they implemented the readings and characters into their "fate".

I loved every minute of this movie and look forward to re-watch again soon!

Too much lard for me
5 May 2024
I actually thought I had seen this episode already when I decided to re-watch season 10.

The moment the new girl gets introduced I immediately new who had a cameo in this episode. Her voice is very ''grown up'' which didn't really suit the 9-year old character they were portraying.

Really liked seeing Homer and Bart together like that instead of fighting all the time.

Great ending to the episode as well.

Funny how Homer's ''schemes'' always seem to end like that.

I sometimes do miss the old Simspons episodes as I thought the humor and the actual storyline at times was better than the new modern episodes, but I'll be a Simpsons fan for life.

Love the chemistry between the two
23 April 2024
This movie came out a few years before I was born, but yet I have watched quite a lot of classics from the 90's that I think you have to watch.

Growing up my mom was a big fan of Richard Gere, after watching this I get why. This movie has me having a crush on Richard Gere and Julia Roberts all at once.

I don't know why it took me so long to watch it. I mean from reading the synopsis it's quite clear how this movie will turn out but it is everything in between that make the movie worth watching.

I myself love Julia Roberts and seen most of her movies but I couldn't help but love her character in this one, maybe one of my favorite roles she portrayed.

It's your standard sappy love story where good chance, you'll guess the ending before you even watch it. But it's just such a good movie.

I myself have a very short attention span but I finished this movie in one setting which for me says a lot.

This will definitely be one of those movies that I will re-watch in the future just because it's a good ''feel-good'' type of movie.

Better than I thought it would be!
22 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would!

The movie of course is partly about time travel so my comment does not make a lot of sense but the parts where they actually are time traveling were a bit much for me, the rest of the movie I thoroughly enjoyed!

From the at time somewhat tense moments where you felt like it was an actual, proper horror, to the comedy and 80's reference, this was really a movie I enjoyed!

I wasn't the biggest fan of all the main characters but our main character Jamie (Or should I say Colette) and both young and older Pam (great actress) were great!

I loved it from beginning and end and I was pleasantly surprised with how the ending turned out.

Greece the country, no the musical

I was just casually browsing what to watch when I saw Diane Morgan who I absolutely love.

I do like the occasional documentary as it is informative and love to learn new things. I had never watched a mockumentary before as far as I know it so I wasn't too sure if I'd like it.

First of all, it is informative, second of all, I had to pause this less than 30 minute episode multiple times as I had literally tears from laughing so hard.

This mockumentary is able to provide information but do it in a funny way, a really funny way.

I think Diane Morgan in this is absolutely brilliant. From full length-movies in caves, to Gwyneth Paltrow's spa treatments, this is an absolute must watch!

Modern Family: Paris (2020)

Ah Oui Paris
27 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I always loved the Modern Family episodes where they travel to places, gives the viewers a chance to see something more than the scenes shot in their individual homes.

Loved the chemistry between Phil and Guy. Loved the end scene where Jay gives that speech and of course Mitchell trying to hide his nationality.

One thing I always find cringe (apologies), is Americans trying to speak French.

I noticed as well that Lily and Claire's kids were missing and that it was only Manny. My favorite character must be Gloria but I did miss her in this episode, even though she was in it. Big fan of Cameron as well but not as much of Fizbo.

The end credits with the black and white scenes were touching.

The snails were the weirdest part
25 February 2024
The movie was decent but I expected so much more of the ending.

Throughout the movie it was never really explained why Vic puts up with his wife sleeping with so many different men. Then the ending when you finally think ''wow I wonder how it's gonna end'', they just ruin it by showing the credits and bam movie done.

I did think the entire movie itself was good. I found the whole relationship and the vibe between the couple intriguing which is why I kept watching but I feel it left the viewers with quite some questions. They went from 0 to 100 at the end by revealing stuff and then it just abruptly ends.

Overall I did enjoy this movie but I think it's a pretty forgetful experience.

Monsters at Work: The Vending Machine (2021)

Vendy
25 February 2024
This isn't that great of a show, and I keep wondering why there is so little of Mike and Sully, because mot of the show revolves around MIFT and College Boy but I feel I have to finish this show as Monsters Inc. Was part of my childhood.

Fun episode about the vending machine! Really liked what Fritz did, take one for the team.

Mike as per usual does stuff that make me question him but he did boost numbers... And morale!

Always good to see Mike's friend: 'I'm watching you', this must be one of my favorite characters.

Not the biggest fan of College Boy if I'm being honest! For one, he sucks at his job and he just isn't that fun of a character? Fixing Vendy is the least he could've done I'd say.

Countess Gaga
25 February 2024
Not as good as the 2nd episode but I'm at that stage where I am so into it that I really can't wait to see what else they have planned with this show.

Finally got to see a bit more of Denis O'Hare who I feel is not in this a lot at all. I think the character he portrays in this season is one of my favorites. Definitely feel bad about our detective who has now even more on his plate.

Interesting to see about the relationship between Kathy Bates' character and her son Donovan and my favorite moment must be when they introduced a new character.

For those who are not a fan of Gaga: I love her in this show and I think she is perfect for the role of countess.

Loved the black and white scene
25 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The reason for this whopping 10-star rating is simply because even though the first episode started of strong but the amount of weird and obscure scenes made me love it less, this episode was just fantastic as they finally revealed some key information.

We learn more about the history of the hotel, and who and what Gaga's character is.

The way the scenes with Evan Peters were filmed in black and white during the building of the hotel were fantastic. Evan Peters had never been my favorite character in the AHS series, even though he might be as unfortunately Jessica Lange isn't in it anymore.

Great episode and hope the rest of the episodes are as strong!

Good to have the boys back!
25 February 2024
I was 4-years old when Monsters Inc. Came out and although it wasn't for another 10 years, to get Monsters University, it became my all-time favorite Disney (Pixar) movie.

Back in 2011 Monsters University came out, which I have to say kind of disappointed me. Monsters University technically happened before Monsters Inc. And I guess what I was hoping for, was a sequel to the first one. How are Mike and Sully doing, and most of all, What happened to Boo?

I suppose with Monsters at Work we get a bit of a glimpse into what happened after Monsters Inc.

I quite liked this episode! The cover up, the eye-balls, and although Mike and Sully aren't in it as much, it's still nice to see some familiar faces!

Happy to have the original voices of Mike and Sully back as well after all these years.

Strong start, but very very disturbing
25 February 2024
I haven't watched AHS in years. I suppose I gave up halfway through season 4. Now that I had a chance to watch AHS again I figured I wasn't in the mood to re-start season 4 or figure out where I left of. Because I love Lady Gaga and unlike anyone else says, I do think she's a good actress, I knew I had to watch season 5, as well as the whole hotel scene attracted me.

The first episode was strong, I guess I preferred the story around the detective more than anyone else, but what I did forget is that AHS is disturbed, very disturbed. The cameo Max Greenfield made and then well... that thing on top of him. That made my stomach turn. Not necessary for the storyline so far for me at all.

I hope the other episodes are a bit stronger storyline wise (although I must say a pretty strong start) but a 7-stars for the disturbing scenes that were a bit much for me at times.

Excepted more
25 February 2024
I suppose I was a bit disappointed overall with this movie. The first moment Toby discovers Hector's secret, it takes a little while longer until we as viewers see what it is about. I suppose when the movie focuses more on Elisabeth, I was hoping to find out more. I think it was clear from the start what exactly happened but I was still somehow hoping for more.

One of my favorite moments from the movie is the interaction between Hector and the ''massage'' boy (forgot his name). That way you learn more about why he does what he does I reckon.

Overall it was a good thriller but I guess you could tell it is a BBC movie and it's nothing scary or gory.

Fool Me Once (2024)

Surprised by the negative reviews
23 February 2024
I really don't understand how this show got so many bad reviews!

I personally thought the acting was good, the way the story all comes together towards the very last end.

The show got me hooked from start to finish, and that is what I look for in a tv show.

A bit of a disappointment that the very last episode was only 35 minutes long.

I must say that I had no clue about how the show was going to end until the very last minute! A bit shocked to find out it ended like that but I suppose it's like what Corey the Whistle said: ''she had it planned like that'' so I suppose I do have peace with that.

Once again great tv show, it might not be for everyone but I don't think it deserves this low rating.

Caught my interest from the start!
20 February 2024
I'm the type of person that sees something interesting on Netflix, I check what it is about watch the trailer and add it to my list, to then never watch it. On some very rare occasions I watch it immediately, like this one.

I was hooked from the start, unfortunately as I had an early morning the next day I had to watch it in two parts but I was so dragged into this story that I couldn't stop thinking about it.

My partner had it right from the start about how the events were gonna turn out, and I must say I should have seen it coming.

The documentary is filmed in a great way, it all comes together without losing the viewer and confusing us. It's disturbing to realise that this is how some people live and sad how the family of those around all get affected.

My favourite tv duo
19 February 2024
I don't know why I waited so long to finally finish this show. Maybe because I loved it so much that I didn't want it to end?

I just finished season 3 and although I didn't feel satisfied with how the last episode left things, I do get it. I'm sad that a show as good as this one only lasted for 3 seasons with the episodes only being 30-minutes long but you don't want them to drag this either for many more years and then viewers giving up.

First of all Christina Applegate is an icon, she was perfect for the role of Jenn and I couldn't have wished for anyone better to portray that role. The same goes for Linda Cardellini who just absolutely smashed the role of Judy Hale.

Ladies thank you for being part of what is now my possibly favourite top 10 of all time shows. The perfect amount of comedy and heartfelt. I I will miss it.

Thanksgiving (I) (2023)

A good old slasher movie
18 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I wanted to watch this movie when it came out around Thanksgiving but guess I am reviewing it now in February.

At the end credits when I saw Eli Roth's name it all made sense to me. This movie is just a good 'ole slasher movie. A group of friends gets killed one by one until the main character survives and the viewers keep guessing who it could be from beginning to end, and I happen to guess it right (ish) who the killer was all along.

I suppose some of the movie reminded me of Scream.

I did like it although it's very gore at times. I did like the Thanksgiving element at the end of the movie although a bit disturbing.

6-stars for the suspense but ruined it halfway
21 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Where do I even start?

The movie was very weird to say the least. The trailer looked promising, a very strong start and then a twist I didn't see coming. 30 odd minutes into the movie they decided to add another, what felt like a second, separate movie, to it and that's when I started to lose interest.

I do like a good horror, usually not something that involves creatures like this but I get it. However starting of like that leaving the viewers thinking that Keith is the killer and there wasn't a double booking and then all of a sudden have a naked creature kill him and then introducing Justin Long in a convertible in the picture, that was just weird.

It felt like this was two movies or that there were two directors and everyone involved just having multiple ideas and them just adding it together.

It was still a pretty good movie but it would have been so much better if it stayed the way it did the first 30 minutes...

I still give it a 6-star rating because of the suspense. Not often will I sit on the edge of my seat with my hands covering half of my face which I did here.

Definitely Team Aubrey Plaza
26 December 2023
Finally after being released 3 years ago, I came around and watched it. This movie was on my ''Movies to watch around Christmas'' for a while now and it did not disapoint.

First of all the cast is wonderful, I myself love Dan Levy and I'm a fan of Aubrey Plaza as well. The director's name rang a bell as well.

Usually movies like this are quite predictable and I'd say this one isn't any different. The only difference is that for once it involves a gay couple.

I maybe would've liked this movie to turn out a little different (more towards team Aubrey Plaza) but was still a good enough movie to enjoy.
