Chimp Empire (2023)
Could watch this over and over...
Highly engaging and beautiful film. The Chimps in this documentary have been highly humanized: given names, and filmed to show each individuals personality and the importance of the role that they play in their communities. It is also filmed in a way that shows a true and vivid account of the life cycle of a chimp and their community virtually no human interference.
It will not only entertain and educate, but it will make you laugh until you you cry, and make you cry until you reach for the tissue. While the last episode leaves you satisficed, it also leaves you wanting to know more (the true sign of a documentary). I really hope they continue the series.
Schindler's List (1993)
Heartwarming, Best Humanitarian Movie Ever
Even though this is only one story of thousands to be told about this tragic event in our history, I believe that it is one of the top movies made about the holocaust era. I have seen a lot of holocaust movies and this one is by far my favorite.
It's not just a story of the holocaust, it is also a story of humanitarianism, and what the efforts of what even one person can do to change the lives of generations to come.
It is so well written, casted, and filmed it will suck you in; you will not want to take your eyes away and it will certainly take you down an emotional roller coaster that you will never forget.
Schindler's List is a classic movie for the ages that is a must watch. If I had to choose, or recommend, just one movie from the WWII era, the holocaust, or a movie about humanitarianism in general, this would definitely be the one. My top choice, no doubt!
