The Sinner: Part VIII (2020)
Painful to watch
This season was awful. Bill Pullman was painful to watch. Painful. What the hell was up with him this entire season?!!! The slightly cocked head, slurring and mumbling the entire time. Whyyyyyyyyyy?!!! This was such a good show. This season and in particular this episode was awful. If I hadn't wanted to see who dies at the end, I wouldn't have watched it. Awful. Painful.
Stay (2005)
Gave me a stroke
Gave me a stroke, not worth it to watch until the end, the entire movie was terrible. The ending was the icing on the terrible cake. Just awful. Kinda expected more with all of the high profile actors in it. Terrible story
McMillions (2020)
Agent Matthews is so extra but in the best way
I love agent Matthews. He totally makes this entire show! I love his sense of humor and laugh, he's really great. I really enjoy this show because everyone is very lighthearted and laughing about this very serious case. It was filmed wonderfully in that manner, not depressing at all. I want more of Matthews! He really needs his own show!
Stratton (2017)
What the heck is up with
Connie Nielson's accent?!!! I mean REALLY?! Is she doing a really bad Emma Thompson imitation? This one thing completely ruined all aspects of this movie for me. It could have been SO much better. Plus I figured out the "twist" 5 minutes in. So boring
Grey's Anatomy: Silent All These Years (2019)
Wow
This is hands down the best episode this show has had since before Derek died. Thank you Grey's. Thank you for finally making it worth it to stick with you for all of this time. Fantastic tv, this is an episode that everyone should watch.
The Big Sick (2017)
This is NOT a comedy!!
I am so let down by this movie. It was hyped up and billed as a comedy but it was not funny. There were funny parts here and there but this movie was mostly just depressing. I kept waiting for it to get better/funny and it didn't. Don't get me wrong, it was a sweet love story but don't call this movie a comedy when it isn't. Judd Apatow movies are usually raunchy, hilarious comedies. This one wasn't and I wish the trailer and everything I read/heard about this movie hadn't been so misleading.
Velvet Buzzsaw (2019)
Quirky, entertaining, I loved it!
This movie was exactly what I expected it to be, based on the trailer, and more. I love Jake Gyllenhaal's portrayal of Morf, the way he moved about in his world, his hand gestures, the way he spoke. He was the best part of the movie by far. I also loved seeing a very different part of society that we don't often see in movies, the art industry in all its quirky glory! The other characters were so fun, completely self involved and deliciously horrible people. Overall it was very entertaining, especially if you are into dark comedy movies that don't take themselves too seriously.
Mother's Day (2016)
Worst movie I've ever seen
I couldn't figure out what this movie was about based on the trailer I watched a few times. I watched the movie anyways and never figured out what it was about. There is NO storyline, just a bunch of random scenes thrown together to make it seem like a movie?! As soon as it was over (I can't believe I watched the entire thing) I was so pissed off that I wasted that much time watching this garbage. Ugh what an awful piece of crap. Please do not waste your time. If I could give this movie a zero I would.
Tag (2018)
So much fun!
I had never heard of this movie so I didn't know what to expect. It was such a fun and funny movie. My husband and I were dying laughing. Great movie to lift your spirits!
Downsizing (2017)
Forget about the bad reviews and misleading trailer
I had no expectations going into this movie, I merely read the synopsis never watching the trailer and hit play. This was a wonderful, thought provoking movie. Matt Damon played the pathetic character perfectly. Christoph Waltz was hilarious as usual and Hong Chau was a delight. I really enjoyed the world through the eyes of the smalls and through Paul's naive eyes. Great story, executed wonderfully and so so funny. This movie is about a man finding himself, in a new world that makes so much possible and impossible at the same time. I loved it.
Bumblebee (2018)
Such a waste of time
This movie was terrible. The pacing was slow, there was no story to fill in the time, just a bunch of driving around. The family scenes were forced and I felt no connection at all to any of the characters. The love interest was incredibly lame. John Cena's character was one of a typical dumb soldier, I much prefer all of the military characters from the first movie to him. At least they were funny. Not senseless shells of dumb.
Bumblebee was cute, like a kitten, not the badass Transformer he's been in the past movies. The action scenes were typical and boring. Honestly the best part of the movie was the first 10 minutes. After that it was not fun, funny or even interesting. I almost left the theater and I am a huge Transformers fan. On top of that this film makes no sense in the world of the previous Transformer movies. Optimus Prime and the others didn't come to Earth until the first Michael Bay movie and in that movie they had no form yet. There are so many plot holes which makes the story even less interesting. This is almost a direct copy of Sam's story. Losers life that sucks then he/she gets a cool car and their life changes forever. Blah blah snore.
I don't understand why everyone is saying this is the best Transformer movie ever. The first one was the best by far. People are looking for a Transformers movie that properly pays homage to the 80's Transformers we love, this movie is definitely not it. Don't waste your time or money.
Ray Donovan: Walk This Way (2014)
The man can dance!!
Damn this was such a great episode from the get go. I loved watching the family just fall apart in every way possible. And poor Bunchy just sitting there. All around this episode was amazing but that final scene with Conor and Ray...EPIC! The man is beyond good looking and he can dance like nobody's business!
