Particularly biographical documentaries.
I admire most of Christopher Nolans work. Interstellar is my favorite film so far.
But I like to watch all sorts of different genres and types of films and series.
I grew up playing with Batman, Transformers and Marvel superhero toys, that has definitely added some sentimental value, and that's probably why I appreciate Superhero movies as well. Outside of all that, I do like it when gets a little dark and mysterious, especially when the plot gets complicated and hard to predict.

Dark (2017)
One of the few GEMS not to miss on Netflix
Dark is an awesome series, with a beginning and an end. It's not something they've dragged on to milk money, and I really appreciate that.
The scenery is beautiful, the acting is superb, and the plot is crazy and it just keeps getting, even more crazy. It's written brilliantly with a complex plot, and I'd admire the difficulty of puzzling this enigma of a story together and have it make this much sense, it's truly awesome.
But the series involves several characters and has a complicated plot, you'll have to give this show your full attention to appreciate it, and you'll get rewarded as the series progress.
Never have I ever watched something that has created this many questions, and it's cool, I like to try and figure out the plot on my own, before it's answered or reveal, but this show is crazy.
If you're into mysteries, Dark is a must watch.
Pirate Gold of Adak Island (2022)
I do love a good treasure story, but...
The actual treasure story is exiting to me and who's to say if it's true or not.
I guess that's the fun in old treasure stories, right?, the mysteries. However, the reason I'd rate this 5/10 is because of the story of Adak Island is interesting to me. The story of Dwargstof, a pirate that hid serval metal cans filled with gold. The Island has a very tough terrain, with old WW2 bombs buried beneath the ground, that's nuts, when you want to dig for treasure. You don't want bombs underneath you.
But... their methods seems inefficient and the 2 guys that's suddenly creating equipment mid episode out of scraps feels like an absolut waste of time. Why wouldn't you bring propper equipment in the first place. You get a feeling that it's something the throw in to fill the time. And it's bad.
*Spoiler*
In the very last episode they actually find two gold coins, in different places, close by each other. First they find a coin underneath a huge rock, but just one? Then nearby the actual find a buried metal can, just like in the story. However also with a single coin in it. That seems pretty sketchy to me. I don't no why, but it just seems fake? Not all sure, but why would someone leave a gold coin behind if you found a can of golden coins, and also who would hide a metal can with only one coin? They were supposed to be filled, right? I don't know. I'm afraid Adak Island is in desperate need of money and attention because they're losing population, so the create this show and the show will pay for the Islands recovery? Not any gold?
I'm split, because I'm invested into the whole treasure story about the Island and Dwargstof, but I'm not buying the discovery of those two coins.
But still a little excited to see if the return to find more gold next season, but please bring propper equipment, nobody wanna see this home-made crap made out of metal scraps.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Had to re-reveiw this show 8/10
Game of Thrones was one of my absolute favorite shows, and I've been following GOT from Season 2.
My older rating was Gem Mint 10/10 Masterpiece, but!
I had to come back. This show is "almost" a masterpiece, it's different from other shows and brings a lot of interesting characters with some really great acting! Also the costume designs and the CGI work is stunning. The story and plot is unpredictable and nail-biting. Nothing is as it seems, GOT is a truly great show, and just inches away from a masterpiece.
The show hat me hooked from Season 1 to Season 7, oh boy it's exiting.
However the two year wait for Season 8 was a bit much, also because it's the shortest Season of them all. But on top of the long wait, Season 8 was weird. It felt rushed, and character-development went 180. I know it may have resultet in a lot of pressure coming to end this show, giving it's one of the most popular shows of all time with different opinions and criteria. But I don't think the writers did the show justice. They rushed it, the ending is poor and it's so sad to give such a perfect show (Season 1-7) such a poor ending. Game of Thrones went from being well written and unpredictable in the most exciting way possible, to poorly written and unpredictable in the very worst way possbile. It's tough to meet the expectations of the excitement you build. througout several seasons. But this show had every possibility to end amazing, with so many good and dark charters to play around with. But it feels rushed and unfinished.
Had to come back and re-review this show. 8/10 (given the poor ending)
Prison Break (2005)
First season is incredible! 9/10
Prison Break had me hooked with an amazing first Season, and it's almost like there's no line between Season 1 and Season 2. The show continues in Season 2, just where it left off Season 1, and it's really exiting, a truly epic story with interesting characters with great acting and good music along with it.
However it's clear that Prison Break had so much success with the first Season that they started to drag it even further. Sadly it becomes predictable and annoying when you get into late Season 2. (my opinion)
- First Season "Amazing"
- Second Season "Great, but milking the Success" (could have wrapped up the show perfectly)
- Third Season "Nah, just stop"
They show had everything set up for the perfect ending in Season 2, but they went for milking the show even further in Season 3, which in my opinion wasn't the right thing to do with this masterpiece.
However, can highly recommend Season 1 and 2!
Captain Marvel (2019)
Introducing Captain Marvel 7/10
Apparently it's zero to almost impossible to change peoples made up minds.
Clearly a lot of these reviews is tearing down Brie's performance. They don't see Brie Larson fit for the role.
However, most of these people have had this opinion even befor watching the movie.
That's not a fair judgment, we actually don't care that you dislike Brie, though I'll give it to you that this was not her best performance. (that's another discussion, we are here for the movie as a whole)
But it's defiantly not worth these poor ratings. Captain Marvel is good, not the best, and yes it's way overhyped. In fact I think most people just wants to watch End Game, and pass on this one.
But I thought this was interesting, the way Marvel has kept the style of humor and added in some humorous conversation, and the plot fits great towards the MCU storyline. Overall I found the movie entertaining and not boring at all. It's going to be interesting to follow her into End Game, and to observer how she as this *new* powerfull female will get along with the remaining Heros. She do have an attitude, and I quite like that.
Just to clear things up, if you dislike Brie Larson, nor don't think she is fit for the role, feel free to do so. But this movie does not deserve the 1-2-3/10 rating, that these offended critics have rated.
