Very stylish, yet very engaging

Hollander is brilliant.

Honestly, most are brilliant, but he is something else.

Worth watching because they did it well.

I like these old spy novels and this sort of captures the feeling of the old.

Very, very well executed and Laurie is also just excellent.

Every episode makes you want more.

Very good.

Seen it before

Just like any other "thriller" when someone with a past has to relive it again.

I like Odenkirk and he is great even in this, but it feels like an old concept done again.

Sure, it has its entertaining moments, but as a whole? No, not really.

Worth watching for the bang of it, but really just a low(er) budget John Wick or an even older one. (Long kiss goodnight?) Well, for a half entertaining couple of hours, see it. But still a bit disappointed, they could've gone through the script once more before shooting it (or after, editing)

Somehow, I got the feeling Odenkirk wanted a legacy before too late and ... Well, this was it. Being a super man and not the individual he used to play.

An embarrassing collaboration

Anna Friel should not have been involved in this.

That is my headline too.

What a s*it bargain.

Started bad, got worse, Then all went to c R A P.

No. No more of this.

Good and mediocre actors WILL not make it.

No.

Sorry.

Suspense...

Surprisingly good. All dialectal embarrassments aside, this had me wanting more from the first episode.

Big, apr, much stuff and fuss

OK, I had big hopes, no surprise. I've seen what Jackson can do and I grew up with this one.(The original) It was quite short and sort of got to the point right on. This one is all but that. The cast seems fine, no complaints, but seems like it takes them an hour (which it does) to get to the island, and when there, WTF???? KK is supposedd to fight a big lizard of some sort and then all is up to the humans! This is where Jackson unfortunately used his big, BIG Hollywood dollars, there are all sorts of creeps, and when one stops, there's another! It goes on forever! Could easily dropped an hour of the movie there... The effects... Well, seem kinda second-hand to LOTR-movies, also re-used... For instance, the music, who did it? I need not ask. The overfly CG-things... (huh) I'm OK with that, but when it takes an hour off the film to make it enuff Hollywood, naaah. I got tired after a third and then I just wanted to go home. I wanted this to be a great film, but sorrily, no. The beginning graphics were amazing and so on, the cast do their job, but in all... This is bloody crap. It's all so Jacksonilesque-ishly sugary and the whole film is just a proof that this brilliant man should work with a lot smaller budget. Could have been an hour shorter and would have been a ton better. Sorry, really wanted to like it, but... Nothing but Jurassic Park 4. See it, but respect no surprise or wow-ness.

My 2 cents

I'm so f*n tired of those who try to make anything out of good old films, remakes, whatever. Also I'm tired of those who try to make a fancy, different movie, like Oliver Stone. This, however really got my attention. I'm not all into the background, but it doesn't matter! Even if you don't like the cartoons, you will love this if you are a true lover of cinema! It has it all, even if sometimes it's really hard to tag along, you'll get it! Although I am a big fan of Owen, the old bugger Willis did an excellent job and my old time favorite Rourke makes one of his best performances ever (He's done a lot of amazing ones), this makes for a great feature! I thought. And then I saw it. And all my expectations just crept higher after the first scene! It sort of culminated when i saw Alba in her scene, that was just about too much to bear. Even if it's a bit slow when Clive does his stuff (Da old bugger, he should be DA baddest AZ) it's still such a pretty picture of the old comics that Frank Miller gave us. And Mickey still has what we need. I just love this film. If you like Noir-movies and Noir-cartoons, you'd be a fool not to see it. It's all that and then some.
