Italians show they can really make tv series the right way! Giulia and Agnese are fantastic! Argentero has a very challenging role playing Dr. Fanti, the main character, but he performs best. I also like this is a family show, with some sex, but never explicit, something one can watch with children and actually gives some ethical topics to discuss, which are quite interesting. Added value: this is inspired by a true story, though the authors make an effort to change the main lines. I truly enjoyed all the episodes so far (season 1), I agree, they are a bit soapy, but who does not like that when watching a tv series?

Moving and Funny!

I read the reviews, I decided to view the movie neverthless. What a surprise! This is a funny and moving story about a family, that has evidently some problems (of course they are rich and beautiful, not real life problems!). The acting is great, the story is funny, the ending is predictable but makes you feel good... What else do you want from entertaining industry? This is a great movie to watch with your partner, perhaps not with your family, but hey, if your kids are grown up and confortable with some funny sex scenes, why not? I liked and I recommend the watch to everybody. You should not expect a typical comedy, it is more a family drama though.

A fantastic walk in memory lane

This is a picture about the lives of five italian women in their 40s looking back when they were best friends in high school. It is not a comic film, though it makes you laugh. It is a walk into memory lane, sometimes very poetic and intimate. It is directed mainly to an italian public, it makes frequent references to italian music and culture of the 90's. Francini is simply perfect in her very complicated role, but also the other actresses pull out a performance better than one would expect. The theater piece that inspired the plot is very good, but the movie is better I think. You end up after watching the movie, wanting to cry, wanting to laugh and with a nostalgic feeling of what it was. What can you ask more from the entairtanment industry? Watch it!

Relaxing TV series

This is an enjoyable italian love/crime TV series, with no violence and some interesting mistery stories. Lino Guanciale is great playing the harassing politically non correct boss of Mastronardi, the "allieva". American viewers will find disturbing the fact a boss/professor is hitting on students, but the show is light and noone is truly victimized here. There is space for improvement in Mastronardi acting, overall the cast is doing a average job but the show is very entertaining. The book writer Gazzola is consulting, so there are some plot twists that do not appear in the books, which is good if you have already read them. Do not expect brilliance, but it is good for a pleasant evening.

To enjoy this movie, you must love the mediterranean attitude towards life: nothing is really serious and if your husband cheats on you, you can solve all your life problems by running away with an arabian prince... Anyway, if you ever play cards with your (female) friends and enjoyed the thought of leaving it all for an handsome prince, you will enjoy this light and funny movie, which certainly will leave your inner feminist outraged. It is for a no brainer night, I expected nothing and instead I really enjoyed it.

This is just a great show! I used to watch it on abc, now it is on amazon prime, it is a crime tv series with great character played by excellent actors. Fillion is perfect in his Castle role and his counterpart, lovely Katic plays the grumpy detective Becket , which grows fond of Castle. It is wonderful for a relaxing evening, the whole family can watch it, differently from most crime show which are violent and unsuitable for a your audience. Must watch!

Italian romantic comedy at its best! Morelli is just perfect in the part of the loving subdued boyfriend, starting all over once he finds the love of his life in an affair with his boss. Despite of loss of girlfriend and job at the same time, he kicks back. A very predictable ending in the beautiful Tirreno Sea scenery: makes you want to go to South Italy right away. Naples scenes are so romantic, I just loved this movie. See it for a relaxing evening.

This is a very charming, funny italian comedy about getting older, but not necessarily wiser. After 20 years a group of high school friends meet and recap their own lives, while going through the misery of retaking all the final exams of the final year of their high school (esame di maturita'). They all have changed, but somehow they have remained the same and what is most important, they still care a lot about each other. I think this comedy deserves way more than the imdb score, take the time and watch it. Being an italian comedy, it will be often not politically correct, you will see nudity, but nothing excessive.
A Star Wars movie

This is exactly what you want and expect from a star wars movie: exotic locations, strange creatures, wars everywhere, the rebellion, the empire (now dubbed "first order"... I am a star wars fan since the first movie and frankly I do not understand why people are upset. The actors are doing a terrific job the director not so much (J.J. why did you leave the director's chair?!), overall they are creating a wonderful movie perfect for an afternoon with the family. I wish the side story with Finn and Rose were shorter, but anyhow it was nice to have it, I do not agree with the fans hating it. I will go again and proud to the star wars conventions wearing my Darth Vader helmet, this one rules as the originals!

This is an Adam Sandler movie, don't go if you do not like him. If you do like him, as I do, then it is really funny, ironic, crazy and in the end also makes you think. There are a lot of sexual references, I watched it with my teenager kids and yes, we were laughing a lot together. I would not say it is a family movie, but definitely can entertain both parents and teenage kids at the same time. John Turturro is very funny even if one would with the script to leave him more free to act, unfortunately he is only playing the lunatic. In the end I really recommend this movie, alone or together with family, I laughed all the time. Maybe not a good idea for date movie though...

This is a fun to watch movie, but hey, top class scifi is a different thing! This is scifi for the non expert, there is no serious address to the scientific issues involved, everything is approached quite poetically, which is OK, but it lacks the true sharpness of scifi as it should be (Philip Dick, Isaac Asimov or more recent stuff like the wonderful "Edge of the day"). Leading actors deliver powerful performances, the story is engaging, but for me it lacks the true flavor of imagining the future or a parallel reality. Possibly this is why this was so popular with the crowds; if you are a scifi maniac you may even feel annoyed. For me was fun, but as many other movies, it did not look so special.

Fun with Marvel and the family

This is an action movie with Marvel characters: once you understand that nothing will go wrong and you will like this movie. I was avid Marvel reader much before these movies came along, I do not feel betrayed at all, I think this movie captures the essence of the comics. My only critic is that it is too long, I would have avoided the lengthy scenes of droid battles (reminding of Star Wars episode 1, rather better to be forgotten instead of recalled). It is however fun to watch and actually one of the few movies the whole family can enjoy. The scenes may at times be slightly scary for a 10 year old, but from 11 years on the kid will actually love it, as my three children did.

This is the best TV series I have ever seen. The authors made a terrific job transposing the original Sherlock Holmes detective stories to modern times. I as a fan of the writings, I must say they are in no way betrayed by the screen play. The actors are simply perfect, they are giving their own interpretation of the characters and they are different from any other pair Holmes-Watson. Ben Cumberbatch is my favorite Holmes ever, I wish he keeps doing it for many more years. Freeman is also terrific as his sidekick. This series is thought for adults, though children above 12 years old may enjoy it. I must say that it is not advisable for smaller children, not only because of the material, but essentially they would not appreciate it.

It is a visually extraordinary movie, Bullock's performance is out of this world (literally). I went to see it with my 12 year old daughter, it was just wonderful to see a movie, where the hero is a woman, who is also a scientist. I found this particularly inspiring in a male centered industry, where usually the hero is busy answering the damsel in distress calls. The plots develops fast, keeping the tension up all of the time, yet suitable also for young (i.e. 12 years old) audiences. The scientific facts are accurate enough and actually impressive for a movie of this type. Highly recommended for girls with a passion for science, my daughter just loved it and certainly will recommend it to all of her classmate and girlfriends.
