Run (2020)
Reminds me of "The Act"
"Run" offers a gripping narrative reminiscent of "The Act," albeit with its own unique twists and turns. Sarah Paulson's portrayal of a deeply twisted and unpredictable character adds layers of intrigue to the storyline. The film's ability to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with its unexpected developments is truly impressive.
The unsettling reality that such manipulation and abuse could be happening in real life adds an extra layer of poignancy to the film. It's a sobering reminder of the darkness that can exist behind closed doors, leaving audiences with a sense of unease long after the credits roll.
Overall, "Run" is worth a watch for anyone who appreciates a thought-provoking thriller with a penchant for unpredictability!
Land of Bad (2024)
What a gem!
Not what I was expecting... what a gem.. Wow, what a treasure! Liam, hats off, mate. Classic hoorah nonsense at the beginning, but fruit loops nailed it.
And Russell, as always, your acting was nothing short of outstanding, playboy. Your portrayal added layers of complexity to the narrative, making it a truly engaging experience. Reminded me of a family member of mine.
It opens my eyes to see what the united sates of America can actually do from a satellite perspective.
Thankful to land on this movie.. Would highly recommend to any fan of thriller, war, character build up bs, you name it.
8.4/10.
Coherence (2013)
Red or blue glowstick?
Coherence delves into the consequences of a comet's close encounter with Earth, unfolding a series of strange events during a dinner gathering. I was particularly intrigued by the exploration of parallel universes, which effectively portrayed the internal struggle between one's own actions and the consequences of paranoia on relationships with friends and loved ones.
Curiosity led me to google the Miller's comet to see if it had happened, Unfortunately, only to discover that it doesn't exist with the exact characteristics mentioned in the film :(
Nevertheless, Coherence is a compelling watch, offering a thought-provoking narrative and engaging twists that make it worth your time.
Spaceman (2024)
Trippy & underwhelming Spaceman
Spaceman had all the ingredients for a captivating experience: stunning visual effects, commendable acting, and an intriguing storyline. However, despite these positives, the overall impact fell short of expectations. While the film's trippy elements added an interesting dimension and unique twist, however the film lacked the depth to fully engage its audience.
The spider, hate it or love it. I think it's presence symbolizes the looming challenges and obstacles Sandler must overcome in order to find inner peace and resolution.
The film was definitely best enjoyed paired with a chocolate mushroom for an enhanced viewing experience.
6/10.
The Beekeeper (2024)
Adam clay the new John wick?
"Just a Beekeeper" sounds like an intriguing premise for a Jason Statham movie! The combination of his action-packed style with a retired hitman seeking revenge could indeed draw comparisons to "John Wick." The idea of not messing with the hive adds an interesting twist, hinting at a dangerous adversary with a unique background.
From the serene beauty of the beekeeping scenes to the gritty urban landscapes of the action sequences, the film offers a visually captivating experience. Overall, "Just a Beekeeper" promises to be a thrilling ride for fans of action movies looking for something fresh and exciting.

Abandoned (2022)
Someone stop that crying baby!
Not a lot going on apart from a crying baby and women who belongs in the looney bin.
This is one of your cliche "horror" young couple moves into a disturbing home with a questionable endings. Not sure why the husband didn't pick up on things beforehand, she wore the same white dress for the entire movie!! Smh.
Even though this was a miss and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, I still love Emma Roberts!
Prank Encounters (2019)
Staged.
Love the concept, but seems all fake & staged. I feel like the creators of Prank Encounters are still trying to figure out who their target audience is. From what I've seen so far, the show is definitely for a niche age group with no common sense of what's real or not.
The acting needs some work as well..
Ambulance (2022)
Insane!
Always love a good Jake Gyllenhaal movie! Ambulance definitely had one fat budget that Michael Bay had to play with. This was one absolutely insane film, jammed pack of non-stop action and great acting. I'd recommend it for all the police chasing, gun shooting, action packed movie lovers out there...
Living in LA though, Ive never seen the streets that open, like where is that LA Traffic? There's literally not one single civilian car driving throughout the film.
The Punisher (2004)
My mate, john travolta doing mad tings!!!!
My mate, john travolta doing mad tings!!!!
Is the film a 10? No.
Is it jammed packed with action & drama? Ya.
Am I giving a good review!? No.
But, Worth a watch. Do it.
Hideout (2021)
Not bad plot, terrible acting.
Not bad plot, terrible acting. You can tell it's low budget & has an indie feel to it. But SMH, the actor that plays Kyle was more funny to watch then serious!
Good kill scenes though!!!
American Horror Story: The Future Perfect (2021)
What did I just watch...
What just happened.. I'm a huge fan of American Horror Story, Its has had its highs and lows, but what was this ending... c'mon. I'm still looking an episode or an answer or some sort of apology to the fans! That was brutal
Speechless.
Kimi (2022)
"Kimi, What's next?"
I actually really liked this, until the end.
From the start, you are invested in Angela! A tech-savey, complicated women, obviously dealing with her own demons. Scared to leave her (outrageously stunning) condo, she comes across some content that she was not supposed to hear.
Without giving away any spoilers, Basically, Angela ends up fighting to do the right thing and things get hectic!!
If you are a fan of Zoe Kravitz, she was 10/10, absolutely crushed it.... But the ending of the film left me feeling unanswered & puzzled... to the point, I feel like they ran out of budget.
Nothing was really answered and it was a great build up to absolutely nothing..
c'mon Kimi!
Ghostland (2018)
Intense
My heart jumped up 40 bpms watching this!
A brutally intense thriller that had a good twist in the middle. It kinda makes me sick to my stomach to think about, however, I'd definitely recommend!
Old (2021)
The reviews say it all!!
I'll keep it short and sweet..
I love M. Night Shyamalan just as much as the other critic.
Yes, this movie was shot, casted(ish) & directed well. But at the end of it all, I guess, it just took them too long to get old and it felt little a "meh". The ending was well done and creative but I wish it was wrapped up in the last 5-10mins.
Worth a watch for film lovers but I can understand where the haters hate.
StartUp (2016)
The Most Underrated TV Show!!
This show recently popped up on my Netflix feed and I've been binge watching ever since.
Highly recommend!!
Things Heard & Seen (2021)
Strange Ending!
Pretty much the same story to all the other reviews.. It wasn't a bad movie at all, but the ending definitely got my head scratching.
Had potential to do so much more.
One Night in Miami... (2020)
Overall a great film, worth a watch!
Overall a great film but unfortunately I went into this with very high expectations. Inspired by true events, it was such a deep and moving time period for the black community. Filmed and casted very well, I liked all the actors. I just wish there was a bit more storytelling of the individuals or action. There were times where I thought it dragged on a little in the hotel room.. My favorite scene was Malcom X sharing with the boys Sam Cooke's show in Boston.
I also really appreciated the timing of release of the film on Amazon with MLK day right around the corner.
Worth a watch, but more like a 7.5
Hubie Halloween (2020)
Soo Ridiculous..
Soo ridiculous you can't help but to laugh.
Adam Sandler playing his Billy Madison/Water Boy kind of role. - Full blown stupid with a big heart. The film has a ton of familiar faces from the Happy Madison family and more! (Ben Stiller, Kevin James, Keenan Thompson, Maya Rudolph, Shaq... the list goes on)
Throw it on for a funny Halloween special but remember to set the expectations bar low.
O'doyle rules!
Room 104: No Dice (2020)
True scenarios all around.
Well done Duplass Brothers. Manipulating the life of actual people in today's society & finally crushing an episode this season..
A washed up TV star, scrapping for fame & a stubborn old women looking to get a last kick out of life. Great acting, great directing. Not much else to say about this episode but honestly, at the beginning I had some Jordan Peele kinda vibes.
Bravo.
Plus, from the man himself - "if you ain't first, your last".
Kudos
The Hunt (2020)
Decent from Start to Finish
I had the expectations that this was going to be your standard hunt kind of story. Dozen random people getting murdered in the middle of nowhere by some rich family... I was wrong for the most part.
In fact, the characters (Emma Roberts & others) who I expected to play main roles throughout the film were actually killed off pretty early. It also felt like the hunters thought they were doing right by killing the innocent. Maybe even to say that they had very far left political opinions that needed to get rid of the people that didn't agree with them through a twisted game of violence.
Overall pretty solid movie! Deaths from start to finish with small twists throughout. Not so much a horror but I'd definitely recommend it if you are looking for a thriller / action movie.
P.S. If you watch "it's always sunny in Philadelphia" .. it Was kinda hard to watch Glenn Howerton without thinking that Dennis was about to crack a joke.
Vivarium (2019)
Weird..but good? I think..
I wouldn't call it a horror film, but definitely a creepy, unsettling weird mix that has you watching throughout.
It's well produced & casted so your not left with crappy actors. But, If you don't like movies that don't make a ton of sense and leaves you questioning yourself WTF?Then this is probably not for you.
I am still not sure how I feel about it...
Uncut Gems (2019)
KG & Sandler.. Who would of thought!!
A great story of the highs and lows of a gambling addict.
Even though Adam Sandler plays the typical 'Billy Madison' & 'Happy Gilmore' comedy type of roles. I am not surprised by his performance in this one, we've seen the talent in "Reign Over Me". He is OUTSTANDING in this, a real classic Jewish New Yorker fighting for his take on the American Dream.
I was surprised however, on how invested I found myself in the characters and for their success towards the end. Scrapping for every point in a Game 7 Celtics/Sixers clash was an awesome way to end the movie, felt like I was back watching the playoffs all over again.
Also, snippets of a low profile Weekend back in '12/13 was pretty cool to see him make an appearance.
Overall, definitely a 9/10 and one for the watchlist!
Only God Forgives (2013)
A Ruthless & Bloody Cinematic Experience.
To be honest, it is not my cup of tea, I was confused pretty much the whole time. However, Its 90 minutes of fantastic acting and filmography. Ryan Gosling shows good character and a willing to go out of his comfort zone!
The film doesn't really hesitate, it gets right into it and stays the same throughout. Yes, its slow. But isn't that the point of a dramatic experience?
I get why people don't like it, I honestly I won't be going around telling people to watch it. But, credit to Nicolas Refn for keeping the audience mind boggled throughout.
Eli (2019)
Fingers crossed for a sequel!
Good storyline, casted well and a great little twist towards the end. All the pieces you need for a solid horror movie.
Surprised by its low ratings.. I would love to see a sequel..
Daniel Isn't Real (2019)
Solid Horror Film!
My expectations were high, Soo maybe that is why I am rating this a little harsh.
At first, I felt rushed through Luke's childhood, he definitely had a questionable upbringing. (We could have jumped into it a little more, with his Mum being crazy and all, definitely had some potential there). We did see a quick glimpse of his parents failed relationship and then straight after the traumatic experience causing his mental break for when Daniel appeared. This was all within the span of like 5-10 minutes. But, throughout the rest of the film It felt like it dragged on for a little too long. So, overall a little disappointed.
Some cool graphics, camera shots and demon-like ideas. It is a pretty solid movie..for a horror.
