Sago Mini Friends (2022)
Great Show
The music is very well done. I like the fact every episode ends with them being thankful for whatever they have learned. I think it teaches kids how to get along and deal with situations that don't always go your way in a positive fashion.
Did I say the music was good? Well the tunes are catchy enough the adults in your house will be singing along too.
I hope they didn't make a bad move by going with Apple TV and it's more limited reach. I am eager to see a season two and hope they produce one!
Highly recommend. This is probably my favorite of all the shows my kid watches.
Here is 15 more characters so I can submit this review.
Pieces of Her (2022)
Pieces of crap.
That's what it should have been called, pieces of crap. The characters all do these extreme things but their motivation is hard to understand due to lazy writing and bad acting. Overall the kind of crap you come to expect from the major networks not Netflix.
Dr. Death (2021)
Audio Mix Is Horrid, Otherwise Pretty Good
The audio mix is horrid. Some scenes the dialogue is inaudible in others it's booming. Other than that this is interesting with a good cast and solid production.
Summer Job (1989)
Funny
I'm not sure about the 2&3 star reviews. This movie is what it is; an 80s b film comedy. If your expecting something else...
No real plot just pranks and laughs. The humor is quite witty without being too raunchy like many of its counterparts.
The acting isn't actually that awful. Technically the production is quite good, especially for a low budget film.
Decent 80s original soundtrack, it is punctuated by many former members of ELO.
True Blood (2008)
Pretty Good
So far I think Alan Ball's body of work is mediocre at best but definitely not entertaining. After seeing his previous work I would not have given this show a chance had I known he was writing the screenplays. Not only am I not a fan of Ball, I am also not a Vampire weenie, in to all the black clothes and Gothic death nonsense.
I started watching True Blood mid-season (and mid-episode) and it held my interest. In fact it's pretty entertaining. The characters are strong enough that you develop opinions about them and want to see what happens next.
Considering there is nothing else on episodic TV right now that's worth watching this is a great show to have to look foreword too. Even if there were any other decent weekly series on right now this show would still be on the DVR!
Hopefully it will pick up enough viewers so it doesn't get dropped by HBO and doomed to a life of the triple S single season syndication.
