Resident Evil: Retribution (2012)
Strongest since the first
Paul W.S. Anderson's fifth installment in the Resident Evil series has everything you would want in a sequel. If I could some it up in one sentence it would be, "Hot chicks with guns shoot zombies and occasionally shoot other people with guns who work for an evil corporation." It's not just fun, it's damn fun! Fans of the games with be happy to see their favorite characters on the big screen and also like the elements it incorporates from the games. If you've played Resident Evil 5, there's a part you'll recognize from the game in the movie.
Also Jill Valentine's back(No complaints about that at all)-said in a smooth voice. Along with her there's Michelle Rodriguez who is always welcome.
One thing that is also great about this film is the fight choreography which an upgrade over previous installments. More action, more explosions, more awesome.
If you want to just tell logic to screw itself and watch an entertaining film, you're in for a treat.

Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010)
Not as good as the rest but not bad
Resident Evil: Afterlife is the fourth film in the video game based franchise. This one is just as action-packed as the rest but my only gripe is the plot. While the Resident Evil film series is generally not seen as the most plot heavy series, this one makes the plots of the other entries in the series look complex. Besides that, its a great flick. To me this one reminds me the most of the video games and at certain points, I'm reminded of when I played Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube. If you loved the other ones, you'll like this one. It's got hot babes in black, zombies, swords, guns, and action. What more could you ask for? (Jill Valentine)
Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)
Action-packed fun
The third installment of the resident evil franchise has exactly what any fan of the series would want: action
gun and knife wielding chicks
zombies
recognizable characters from the game
side boob shots
Some may criticize these films for their lack character development and bad acting but as I have said in previous reviews, that's not what the series is about. The Resident Evil films are about fun and mindless action except this one has a pretty good plot. The only major downside to this film is the lack of Jill Valentine.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004)
A bit of a step down from the original but still good
Resident Evil: Apocalypse has excellent action and more characters from Capcom's beloved franchise. This action is bigger, the girls are hotter, and they are more zombies. But they are some drawbacks that make it a little less enjoyable than the first.
The music is out of place and it really detracts from the action scenes. String music just doesn't go well with killing zombies I guess.
Besides the music(which I can get past), bad acting(which I can also get past), it's a damn good mindless action flick. But if your gonna see it for anything at all, see it for Jill Valentine(I mean come on!) 8/10
Resident Evil (2002)
great, if you know what to expect
If you are looking for a film that is thought provoking and will make you ask yourself some of the deepest questions in life, you've come to the wrong place. If you want to throw reality out the window for an hour and a half and enjoy a film with zombies, blood, side-boob shots, and great mindless action, this is the one. While this movies does have its flaws(bad acting being the biggest), its not like it's trying to win an Oscar. I will always defend movies like this because they often get panned by people who just don't understand what it's about. This movie is just plain fun and has tons of re-watch value. Of all the video game adaptations, this is among the better ones.
