Rogue One (2016)
amazing
may have been the best star wars i have ever seen. It answers so many questions. it has great character development, and the Chinese guy was an awesome addition (although i thought him repeating "i am the force, the force is with me" in every scene he was in was a little weird). it isn't for kids, which is great.
there are some unrealistic parts to it, but it is nothing like the force awakens (thank god). it is not a replica of the other movies, but an addition to it. i really like that it didn't end all lovie dubie like every other Disney movie.
the best part of the movie is the villain. in force awakens the villain is some teenage brat who hates mommy and daddy. he has no depth, no principles. you end up rooting against one man in force awakens. but in rogue one movie you get the sense of the power of the entire empire, the fear, the ruthlessness, the destructive power of the death star. although you see darth vador for a second his hate yet calm demeanor shows through. in the force awakens you don't really get that sense because the bad guys are always getting their ass kicked in the movie.
Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003)
Great Series
You have to watch the episodes in the correct chronological order, which is weird but hey its star wars what else do you expect. But when you do it is fantastic.
It makes the whole pre-quel movies so much better especially revenge of the sith. You see how close anakin and kenobe are. But the real greatness of the show is ashoka and her relationship with anakin skywalker. After season 5 you understand why anakin goes against the jedi, when previously you really didn't get a complete picture from just watching the movie. And of course Ventress is a fantastic story line.
That being said there are episodes that are for kids, and obnoxious. But they are bearable.
Mad Men: Person to Person (2015)
ending
since that coke ad ran in 1971 and the shows last episode ends in 1970, i thought the ending was that Don went back to maccan and comes up with the coca cola ad.
he based the ad off the communal retreat. the ad is everyone loves each other and has a home, because of coca cola. don realizes at the retreat-- from Leonard-- that everyone really just wants to have a home and be loved and noticed, which he realizes he doesn't have. he thought people really just want to move forward, but he realizes that eventually you hit a dead end (figuratively---eventually you question why your moving at all and have nowhere to go, but realize that where you really want to go is home where you know you are loved, needed, significant) and literally in that he hit the pacific ocean (he wasn't going to move forward past Cali). its funny he finally made it to Cali to (like Ted went to Cali instead of him as did Meagan but he always stayed in NY).
did any one else see it this way???
