Battleship (2012)
Absolute Garbage!
Where do I begin? It would be unfair to say that this is the worst movie ever made but it is, without doubt, the worst movie I have ever seen!
The script is so cheesy and the plot is so full of holes that I actually felt embarrassed for the cast. And who decided to stick Rihanna in this pile of junk? She is as useful as a chocolate frying pan. And the aliens? They seemed to be designed by a 2 year old and are equally as useless as Rihanna! How can a species that can cross light years of interstellar space land in the sea only to be defeated by a bunch of 97 year old men?? Lets look at their ships. Now don't forget.....these ships traversed across light years of space and survived entry into our atmosphere.....Why do they have windows that can't stop a bullet? Why do their weapons rely on 'Line of Sight'? Why do the ships jump like frogs and only move in a straight line across water?
Why am I wasting my time reviewing this crap?
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011)
Sooooooooooo Bad!
I'm not going to waste my time searching for positives on this one. There simply aren't any. The first 'Ghost Rider' was so awful I at least thought that 'Spirit of Vengeance' had to be an improvement but I was so wrong! I almost felt embarrassed for Cage as he 'Attempted' to act his way through this rubbish. The characters were not introduced at all and I found it difficult to figure out the plot which quickly went nowhere.
Firstly the special fx were dreadful and seemed very low budget. There were times during the movie where 'Blaze's' facial expressions left me cringing. Also, I recall from the first 'Ghost Rider' the moment when Blaze sold his soul to the Devil while in his shed working on his bike.....well for some reason this looked different when Blaze is recalling this in the 'Spirit of Vengeance'.
If you have nothing better to do well then watch this but if you were disappointing with the first installment I think you will throw this one in the bin.
Beneath the Darkness (2011)
A large pile of ****
Where do I begin?? The main reason for me watching this movie is that I am a big fan of Dennis Quaid but his performance in this flick leaves a lot to be desired! Quaid plays the role of the town's mortician and the audience is quickly introduced to the dark side of his character when he takes his first victim within the first few minutes. It is from this point that the movie takes a nose dive! There was absolutely no suspense and if failed in every aspect to put me on the edge of my seat.
The majority of the other characters were simply pointless and most of there scenes bared no relevance to the plot. This movie quickly went nowhere and the final minutes (especially the final words from Quaid's character) were simply ridiculous.
If you have nothing better to do......still give this a miss!!
