The Thin Red Line (1998)
Remake of an old classic?
Not really a review, the acting is superb, Jim and Sean are on top form. Action sequences are realistic, militarily the film is accurate. I believe this to be a remake of Beach Red, oer at least based on the same part of the war. I could be wroing. Both are grerat movies.
The Goes Wrong Show: The Pilot (Not the Pilot) (2020)
Good timing.
Not quite as good as the first, but enjoyable if you watch it with a non critical eye. Like anything, let yourself get into it and it'll be OK. These shows are not everyones cup of tea, but it works for me.
The Goes Wrong Show: The Spirit of Christmas (2019)
Good timing, easy watching
Don't be too critical and just let yourself be entertained. I enjoyed it, thought it was well acted and worked for me.
Aquarius (2015)
Duchovny is awesome in this
I can't believe so many people have slated this. Found it on netflix and definitely binge worthy! Forget about "historical accuracy" complaints, I think they got the mix right. If you want a Charlie Manson biopic, go watch Helter Skeltor. I so want a series 3 which was obviously meant to happen but seems that it's not forthcoming, but who knows? Great entertainment, slightly predictable, some moments were a bit of a drag but generally very entertaining. David Duchovny makes the show and I thought the detective squad room at the police station had the right feel. I thought Chance Kelly and Grey Damon were also very good throughout. Don't believe the "I was in Nam" haters, form your own opinion.
