Shadow Man (2006)
middle life expression
to call a movie like this as a good one is a unfortunate mistake. Let's be serious... just because of some explosions (that can reveal a bad taste: like the one at the airport or the one of the helicopter) because of bad shooting (the one where he kills the drug dealer in his house, the ones in the library where he succeeds to shot an enemy in his forehead, a vital place but in the next person he kills he puts six bullets and not only one... though the target is way easier) because of the bad sexual scenes (the one at his house where he is "ignoring" the.. what is she.. younger spouse? - and the one with Anya... let's get real... would a spy be that much of a family guy?) anyway... this is one of the worst films i have ever seen... the script is practically improvisation... i think it changed a lot after the filming. the sound is bad as well... no offense... but to illustrate by sound the blood that gets out of a person is really lame. and what is all that with the "artial marts"... jeez.. does it still work in a movie.
i find this movie a middle life crisis expression... the nostalgia of past times mixed with sexual desire.
A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004)
Fantastic story worth of being seen
The images is the first thing that stuck me... so well taken (in my humble opinion) and full of a fantastic story. With shots that are so full of breathtaking clichés. A sad story... a happy end.. no evidence that the story is forced.. it's just natural... I would have been interested to see a marathon movie.. and yet.. the formula of the movie is a perfect one..
Jim Carrey is proving his talent in changing characters... the kids play in a natural fashion.
For the young spectators.. a motivational story in case of bad things... for the older ones.. a look into life through the eyes of the children
