Já Nada Sei (2022)

One of the worst movies i have ever seen! Never watch it!

This movies is incredibly bad. I stumbled upon this movie by flying with a portugese airline. I did not know what do expect. And i was shocked. Everything about this movie is bad. The acting is some of the worst you will ever see. The characters are extremly superficial and unconvincing. There is no character in the movie that will get your interest. And that although the characters are the main focus of the movie. The plot is non existent and the main male character is extremly pretentious. This movie has absolutely nothing to offer. The director observes relationships like a person who has never experienced a deep relationship in his life. Shocking stuff and one of the worst movies i have ever seen.

After watching the movie i am shocked that it is considered a classic. Maybe because it was unusual for the time , i cannot judge that, but i was extremely disappointed. Especially with the character build up . The one that stands out the most at being ridiculous to the extreme is Jo. In the beginning he is presented as a tough guy who fears nothing , but this does not work at all . He seems ridiculous from the first second he enters the scene . After a while he turns out to be whiny and full of fear , but because the whole build up of the character was so not believable , i did not care at all about his fate or supposed transformation. Of course you can say he should be presented as ridiculous but if that is the case why bother making him such a big character? What really disturbed me is the way the relationship between yes montand and the girl in the city is presented. It is very sexist and the whole macho culture of the movie was getting on my nerves a lot after a while.

Difficult to not be deeply touched

Something this movie was criticized for is the fact that there is tragedy after tragedy and that the suicide is the tragedy that is just to much . But i think people criticizing this movie , totally miss the point. The incredible think the director and the actors achieve is that even though there is so much tragedy in the movie , it is not a negative movie, on the contrary it shows how love can be , and i got a feeling of happiness of being alive and able to live. Even though there is so much death here , in my opinion it shows the beauty of life and how to live it as you want to live it. And the music fits so perfectly it gives the whole movie something positive , i got the feeling that the music always goes on , and that it can be optimistic , even considering bad circumstances

Why does everybody see this movie different than me?

It is really weird i have the feeling everyone understands the movie completely different to me. For me its a masterpiece . I don t know if it was intended but i think this movie perfectly shows child abuse and how a child can cope with this abuse and create a universe for herself , to survive. The world that is created shows the horrors this child has to got through , the uncertainties , the loneliness , the abuse, but also the amazing ability of children to survive in this kind of environment. I was so impressed because i could identify with the hell the child had to got through and also with the way she deals with it. Some people say this is a movie about freedom and living a different way of life. I am truly shocked that so many people see this movie like that. How can you see something beautiful in the way this child is growing up , without a mother , a father who drinks all the time , and whose not able to provide for the child.

One of the best German movies in the last few years

The intensity of this movie is extreme. You will never watch a movie about mobbing that captures the feeling as well as this movie. The dependency on opinions of others and all the other things teenagers go through is shown in a way that puts you back to your teens even if you had no experience with mobbing. There is no playing around. The director acts like a surgeon in destroying the world of the lead character. It is like a trip and there is no stopping . One of the best German films i ever watched. i can only recommend it with all my heart and i am sure that you will be surprised what kind of pearls you can still find Like i was when i found this movie. And the soundtrack is beautiful as well. Starts of like the melody for a childhood and then goes faster and more disturbing as the movie goes on Just brilliant

I'm Alan Partridge (1997–2002)

We need a German Alan Partridge

What can i say? Every line is pure gold and quotable. This is the best comedy series i ever watched Nothing can beat scenes like when Alan does his boot video and a cow is dropped on him. The way he says i m trapped under a cow. I could go on forever Whenever i am in a bad mood i get out my Alan partridge stuff and watch it and laugh my ass off every time. I think all the Sascha baron Cohen's and Ricky gervais owe so much to Alan partridge The influence this character had on the comedy scene is incredible and can t be overestimated. I am German and i English people thank you for giving me something that funny The German comedy scene is full of awfulness And everybody who hasn t watched this i can guarantee you that you will not regret it

Happiness (1998)

A subtle, more intelligent version of American Beauty

The whole movie is about characters looking for something in their lives and nobody finds anything. They are all alone with their view of the world and everyone has facade that breaks down as the movie moves along. My favorite character is probably the fat pervert Seymour Hoffman plays. The relationship he has with his unattractive neighbor is probably the most moving thing about the movie They would fit together perfectly but still in this movie there is no room for happiness. All i can say i can only recommend that movie It was one of the best movies i watched for a long time and it is not difficult to get into this movie because it is very entertaining and funny as well
