Knock Knock (2015)
Its awful.....couldn't rate it a 0
First off, I usually never review movies other than rate them. This was just horrid. The scenes are cut weird, and I used to think that Keanu was a decent actor. He has declined somewhat in this crap fest. Secondly, I know its a movie but how dumb do you have to be to let these 2 "semi-hot" girls in and the lies that they spouted off, he had to be the dumbest main character I have ever seen. Not sure about some of you but if I had some stranger in my house (which I wouldn't), I wouldn't have to move chairs three times to have a conversation. That would have been when I made them leave, clothes or in robes. Actually, I don't think they would have taken their clothes off and went through all the array of BS that they did. My husband and I sat and watched this, we kept saying "Can someone be that stupid?" This in turn, made the movie completely unbelievable. This movie would have been a thousand times better if I don't know maybe he had gotten to punch one of them in the crotch. You will be highly upset at the end. I won't give it away. Its terrible, watch something else.
Les Misérables (2012)
Excellent Remake of a Stage Sensation
The cast was superb. The voices although Crowe wasn't that strong were exceptionally done. Hathaway blew me away with her performance as Fontine. Jackman was amazing as Val'Jean. They really did an amazing job with the whole feel of the movie as you really felt the gritty and poor lives of the people there. If you cant watch this movie when Hathaway sings "The Dream I Dream" and not cry, go have yourself checked for a pulse. I was moved by how well everything was done, coming from seeing the concert and seeing clips on Youtube of the actual stage play, the disaster movie with Neeson that came out around 89 or 90. I pushed very hard for my husband to set down with me and watch this as we both LOVE musicals. He was moved with it as well, and you will catch him humming songs from it when he is looking around on the Internet. He also has the full soundtrack on his mp3 player, the songs are all catchy especially "Master of the House" in which Sacha Baron Cohen plays another knock out role. Its my favorite part in the movie. Although, I hope that they make DVDs sturdy because mine is going to have a skip to it where I have worn it out. This is definitely the best musical that I have seen since Across the Universe, it stands out among the rest and has stood strong with the rest of the Broadway musicals turned into movies.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012)
The best in the series of "Sparkle" Vampires
I wish that they had done this when they started and not given us a terribly slow movie to begin with on this series. This movie had it all from showing how strong Bella is, showing the baby and her growth even though she was really creepy looking as a child because of CGI. This movie with the best twist ending that I have seen to date was the only thing that I could focus on while I was sick. I even tried to fall asleep during it and couldn't. Most movies I do have to fall asleep through and watch later. It was nice to see all end well and basically know that its over now. I really love how the final moments are, showing them laying in the field of flowers. This is not the best series of movies by far but they did an amazing job with the last movie, if you haven't seen it yet definitely give it a watch.
The Three Musketeers (2011)
Excitement from beginning to End!!!
I don't see how this movie gets a 5.7, I really don't. It was amazing from the start to the finish, everything about it from basically unknowns as the Musketeers to Orlando's hairdo. It had everything in a movie that I wanted, sexy actors amazing effects and a compelling story. The story is sorta the same from the Disney Musketeers, its just been revamped with some effects and they added a little effect there that I think made the whole story just come together perfectly. Aramis in this movie is devilishly handsome, Athos with his deep voice and Porthos with his cocky self, it was all perfect. Orlando was wonderful as a villain, so much that I kept finding it hard to believe that I wanted to see more of him on the screen. The young king is hilarious, he is constantly changing clothes and wanting approval from everyone around him. The only thing that I didn't care for was Milla, her part was good but I just wanted to strangle her a few times. That is to be expected, Please watch this movie with someone that knows more about the story if you aren't up to par on what the Musketeers are about.
Chernobyl Diaries (2012)
Awful....Wanted that 90 minutes of my life back!!
I have watched some stinkers in my time, but man this took the cake. First of all, how stupid could a bunch of people be? Hey, lets go to an abandoned town where there is nothing but radiation with someone that we don't know!!!Yes, this sounds like an amazing vacation. From the time that Chris gets his leg mangled on the story takes a downward spiral into a pile of S**T!Then, the rest of the movie is nothing but running around and running away from something that you never clearly make out what it is...I know that there is a scare tactic to less is more, but this is awful. Please don't waste your time, you will want that time back. I could have spent my time better by cleaning my toilet or washing my dog's behind.
