Deadline (2022)
Trite
Pretty poor script, light weight acting, unbelievable characters and story line. Don't waste the time watching this paint the wall and watch it dry. Only redeeming factor is some of the architecture and cinemaphotography of London and Budapest.
The Rook (2019)
Rubbish
Stylish but no substance. Really poor writing, dialogue seems to have been written by four year old. It is laboured.
Long laboured silence, No chemistry between actors they might as well be cardboard cut outs.
Devs (2020)
Utter Drivel
This is not sci-fi just adding futuristic technology doesn't make it sci-fi. Cliched writing, cardboard characters, slow paced. No endearing features whatsoever.
Inside No. 9: Wuthering Heist (2021)
Total Crap
Awful truly trite episode. First five series excellent,

Howl (2015)
Bad lighting
The whole film takes place in the dark. The lighting is so bad you can't really see anything.
The City and the City (2018)
Brilliant Dystopian Nightmare
Highly stimulating, engaging and thought provoking - actually had to concentrate to understand what is going on. Definitely not a veg out - have to turn off the computer and watch. Reminded me very much of East Berlin in the 80s. Must read the book.
A Discovery of Witches (2018)
Really
This is utter drivel - children's tv - or adults tv if you are feeble minded.
Prodigal Son (2019)
Potential
Not enough Martin Sheen, the actor who plays Ainsley is miscast - too childlike - needs stronger woman in that role. Script needs to be better - but has loads of potential let us see if the programme matures.
Being Human (2011)
Not a patch on the original UK version
- the uk version is so much better.Watch the original.
Brave New World (2020)
promise but ultimately disappointing
Nothing to do with Huxley. Not bad but never delivers on its promise. Too many beautiful people - style over substance - too slow in unveiling a story - titillation isn't a substitute for intellectual engagement.
We Hunt Together (2020)
Cliche after cliche after cliche
Poor writing. poor acting - and just one cliche after another - yawn don't waste your time.
The Walking Dead (2010)
I loved this series but its done
I loved this series up to 10 but it really is past its sell by date.
Devs: Episode #1.1 (2020)
Yawn
Another never ending meaningless load of drivel only fit for children. This is neither intelligent or thought provoking - shame as his other works are excellent.
Legion (2017)
Syd Barrett?
Syd Barrett, do me a effing favour - it does not live up to that by any stretch of anyone's imagination. What complete and utter load of trash.
Electric Dreams (2017)
Great Series - More Please
Brilliant - P.K. Dick one of the giants of twentieth century literature. The direction is excellent, the acting excellent and such varied stories. He wrote so many great stories both short and novels but so much more could be turned into series two and three, etc. I really hope this isn't a one off. Look forward to the next series.
The 100 (2014)
Never-ending nausea
Tedious beyond belief - paint drying rubbish. I can not believe this drivel made it past a pilot. This is a children's programme - it is not sci-fi. High school teen angst - yawn, yawn, yawn. Same old, same old - boring middle class America - poor script, poor acting and very dubious moral platitudes. Utter Rubbish
Tabula Rasa (2017)
Very Slow, atmospheric but flawed
Great idea and atmospheric - very slow and there is no way a policeman would be left alone or able to interrogate someone who has lost their memory without a lawyer being present all the time.
Siren (2018)
Drivel of the highest order
Propagation of middle class america small town values masquerading as sci-fi. Unadulterated crude.
However, my classics teacher would be turning in his grave - A Siren is a creature that lured sailors with their beautiful voices to their doom, causing ships to run aground on the reefs near their island. They are usually depicted in statues with wings suggesting they are half woman - half bird nothing to do with fish.
It it wasn't for the violence this would be suitable for viewers with an intellect of a four year old.

Flashforward (2009)
Disappointing
First few episodes were very good - then it degenerated into sentimental rubbish - it should have focused on the science instead of polluting the program with a very sentimental middle class centric view of the world peddling a very dubious morality. Disappointing!

Runaways (2017)
Truly Appalling
For children under 8 - this is more childish propaganda than sci-fi
Arrival (2016)
Trivia
The King's new cloths. This movie is totally without merit - many suggest it is a thinking persons sci-fi. 'Fraid not. It just turgid and without a spark of imagination or innovation - total garbage. In fact, it isn't even sci-fi - sci-fi these days is usually nothing but puerile propaganda - extolling the virtues of western society and hollywood. It is a very very poor film.
Dark Matter (2015)
Awful beyond words
Truly incredibly bad. Predictable story lines in this space cops and robbers, cliché after cliché. Another appalling sci-fi which isn't really sci-fi - Defiance, Falling Skies, Dominion, The Last Ship, etc. just more crass propaganda that isn't really sci-fi - Humans is the best on at the moment.
It is badly written and badly acted. What I find amazing is the amount of people who actually watch and like this. Is it because there is so little good sci-fi around? The premise is actually OK - the first five minutes of episode one was intriguing but it has just gone down hill from there. I have now watched six episodes hoping it will get better but it hasn't - time to give up.
