Friday After Next (2002)
Hilarious Movie
When I first saw Friday After Next, I was not impressed with the storyline. I thought that it was a bad attempt at a sequel...that is until I watched it on DVD (someone else bought it). I was then able to slowly enjoy the quick-wit of Day-Day and Craig's distorted yet loving relationship. But the character that stole the entire movie was the "lucky charm midget pimp" Money Mike. His presence on the screen was side-splitting funny! I believe that without Money Mike, Friday After Next would have been just another mediocre attempt at comedy.
My favorite part in the movie was when Money Mike said:
"Speaking of cockroaches, where were your antennas when them ****** were stealing my ****?" "I didn't see them steal anything" "Well, use your eyes next time. Look. They ain't just supposed to be hazel, they supposed to do some god**** work around here. I don't do this for play. I don't do this for fun." "I'm sorry" "Don't be sorry, hoe, be careful. Lord Jesus....you know what? I am tired of your presence. Dismissed!"
Unfaithful (2002)
Hot and Racy
I thought the movie was erotic and hot. I was fully impressed with the plot and flow of the film. It spoke to all us married or involved people as a "What would you do?" Would we, as women, forget our vows for a ride in the sack with the hot Olivier Martinez? Of course!!!! And would we give such sacred and precious gifts to our lover, even if that means letting go of memorable and special memories of our partner? The reaction of Richard Gere in the film as truly an honest reaction along with a schoolbook case of temporary insanity. I utterly enjoyed the film and was left refreshed with the romance and seduction of the film. But to speak that way of the end is giving the film too much justice. Even though we all would have struggled with that decision of turning ourselves in, shouldn't the director had stood on a moral soapbox and said....whatever his answer would be?
Gidget (1959)
Gidget is the girl for me
I remember when I first received that movie. I fell in love with it right away. I could actually say the script word for word. "Keep your shirt on, she's coming!" Sandra was fun and exciting in this film. Her bubbling energy kept me laughing and glued to my seat. I recommend anyone to watch it for some innocent and old fashioned values. For example when Kim Novak was preparing dinner and she had salad and lemonade all sitting there before her family was home. Now, how many people have actually experienced that? It takes me to the time when life was innocent and we could use the word 'gay' to mean happy.
Twice Dead (1988)
Cheesy
This movie was definitely cheesy. I saw this movie a long, long, long time ago on cable television. I enjoyed the movie because I was a child watching a rated R movie. It was a typical B-rated movie with blood and gore and sex and drugs and violence. You know, the essence of the 80's.
His Girl Friday (1940)
Excellent
This was a brilliant and hilarious movie. Cary Grant just flows into the camera with every movie he does. He makes movies fun. The chemistry with all the actors and actresses was superb! If you ever see this movie, you will fall in love with it
