The Hunger Games (2012)
Amazing
If you have read the hunger games, I highly recommend watching this dystopian themed movie exploring the genres of love/hate, government dictatorship and adventure. This masterpiece of a book has been made into the most spectacular movie ( in my opinion ) ever made. The characters, all perfectly cast and played amazingly and exactly how I imagined them to look like, every single one. The first one sets the background for the franchise of the hunger games movies and does it extremely well. District 12 and the Capitol were completely well made. Especially if you compare the two, the Capitol so bright, lively and modern while district 12 is so run down and old.
I absolutely love the Capitol citizens outfits! Truly astonishing and exactly how I imagined capitol fashion to look like when described in the books ( bright and colourful )
As the film progresses, the main character Katniss Everdeen's - played by Jennifer Lawrence - confidence grows, in her defiance towards the Capitol and her hatred starts brewing, we get to watch that anger grow in strength until the last movie when she kindles that anger. I promise you, once you watch this movie that has you on the edge of your seat the entire time, you will want to watch them.
Devdas (2002)
Amazing
"even real dev and paru cant express the way emotions are shown in this epic best of classic blockbusters. Mr. Shahrukh khan , you are 1 piece . I have seen hollywood french chinese german russian korean turkish top movies,
i have seen tom cruise, brad pitt , leonardo dicaprio, george collony, richard gere acting in their best movies.
I can only say your acting is out of this world. Thats why google say you are the most popular actor in th world.
Aishwariya did her best in this movie. Aish and SHAHRUKH with sanjay what a movie they have given us. Sanjay lila bansali and music department showed mervelous performance.
Shahrukh and Aishwariya with good script would only create blocbuster.these 2 are finest actors of modern not only india but in whole world only if can feel the emotion.
It was huge loss for movie lovers shahrukh and aish did not pair in other sanjay lila bansali movies. I saw in aaward function aish did not even give a thank you to shahrukh. That was strange and truly unprofessional. May be salman was the cause we missed srk and aish. Aishwariya is nowhere now . Dont mess up khans , mainly shahrukh . Indian people are odd they dont respect mr. Shahrukh always create religion issues annd involve him. There will be hundreds of aamir ,salman khan, tom cruise di caprio brad pitt but there wont be another sharuk.

Amazing
This film paints South Indians in a bad light, nothing new I suppose... From a northern perspective...
Why are South Indians perceived as less intelligent, less sophisticated, less EVERYTHING than northerners!
It's offensive to Tamils all around the world.
I'm a 3rd generation South African, Indian. My grandfather was from the south of India, a teacher, who taught the Tamil language here.
We're proud, educated, people and these outdated stereotypes are offensive and prove only how ignorant the "Fairboys" really are!

House of the Dragon (2022)
Amazing
SUCCESSION and the issue of male primogeniture - and this is beautifully set up with the opening scene showing the Great Council in 101 AC.
A short intro but important to understand why Rhaneyra being chosen as heir spells a dark shadow that will carry through the episodes to come.
As a book reader, I was greatly surprised in a positive way by how the showrunners enriched the book either by adding extra stories or elaborating on one aspects which were not in the book.
Great acting from all casts especially Matt Smith and Milly Alcock. Smith's performance brings many nuances to the complex Daemon Targaryen.
Art direction, costumes, cinematography are great. This era is supposed to be the height of the Targaryen's power and one of the opening shots shows King's Landing from aerial view (dragon rider's POV) which I think is very effective and grand.
Two dragons are shown in the first episode and even though i read some people complained about why they are different from the dragons in GoT - I think they are great. Each dragon is so distinctively different and has characters of its own. Mind you they said there will be 15 dragons and being able to distinguish one from another will be an enjoyable watching experience.
Lastly, the music scores from the great Ramin Djawadi totally brings you back to Westeros.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Amazing
This is one of the finest works Tarantino has ever put to celluloid. There is just pure joy in watching this story unfold in front of your eyes and it takes you back to a time where it feels that the world was still an innocent place and a safe place. Even though I have never lived through the 60s or the 70s or in the U. S. for that matter but still,I could feel that time period so perfectly captured and I really got lost in that fantasy, the land of ambition and the dreamers, even though it was for a brief moment but it was beautiful. There are so many period films being made but rarely one that really takes you back in time and reminds you of the magic of movies. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is a fantastical take on reality.
This is a very different Tarantino film. It's a very mature film from Tarantino and feels very personal in so many ways. It has minimal use of Tarantino trademarks including violence,action,non-linear storyline, dialogues. The film has all these Tarantino trademarks but in a much more constrained way. He is not trying to go over-the-top here like his previous films. Instead of going for plot heavy narrative,he ties this film with these interesting characters whose actions drive the narrative. These characters are some of the best written characters by the aueter especially the duo,Cliff Booth and Rick Dalton. Both are brilliantly written characters and majority of the reason they are so good is because of the brilliant performances by Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. It was a dream to watch them both just do what they do best giving some of the best performance of their respective careers. Margot Robbie's Sharon Tate is very calming.
Sanju (2018)
Fantastic Biopic
The best biopic till date because this is not a biopic of some hero or great man who has achieved lot of great things in his life just like MS DHONI, BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG or MARY KOM, this is a biopic of an underdog which shows us how he fights, faces his problems and gets up again every time. An another story which shows us in a world where all the attention is given to mother's relation with her child, a responsible father can lead his child and give him the courage to face every problem he gets in and get him out of it. This is a film which has no antagonist, the antagonist is always within this reminds me a famous song of BABA nayak nahi khalnayak hu me, we are the villain of our own story and our own bad choices lead us to the problems. This film is great because of the magical writing done by the great writers abhijat joshi and rajkumar hirani and they again used the element of some character telling the story just like they used this element in 3 idiots and it looks fresh and keeps you engaging also they used the element LCD that's laugh, cry and drama they have said that if there is no laugh, no cry or no drama in the scene don't put it and there is laugh, cry and drama in each and every scene, at some point of the scene you start crying and suddenly they make you laugh by adding a bit of humor in it they have used all these elements in every film they have wrote. What makes rajkumar hirani the best director of the industry is he creates emotions so well by his great direction and it's really amazing how he told the SANJAY DUTT'S story, he said he was more interested in the family what his family was going through while all the events were happening he knows how to make people cry of empathy how to make them laugh and how to make them feel each and every thing. Most of the people said it's ranbir kapoor who will be praised more than anyone else in the film but actually it's the writer's and director's film that they made ranbir look so fabulous and flawless. It's ranbir kapoor's best performance till date because he has played the character like no one could find ranbir in the film they all believed it was baba ❤
Blue Eye Samurai (2023)
Amazing
An outstanding masterpiece of visual storytelling. Blue Eye Samurai pays homage to the familiar trope of the lone wolf killer out for revenge. But it does so with classy animation, fantastic storytelling, and powerful world-building. This truly epic show deserves all the high praise that it is currently receiving.
Computer-rendered animation has progressed massively in the past five or so years. The quality of the work in recent hit Netflix animation shows such as Arcane and Nimona continues to ascend. Blue Eye Samurai is utterly beautiful as the makers recreate the timeless style of hand-drawn artistry. It's an important style choice because it helps evoke the atmosphere of Edo-era Japan. Frame by frame, action for action, the quality of the rendering, and the attention to detail are at times jaw-dropping (esp episode 6 castle scenes are wiiilddd!). When snow falls, I feel each flake landing on my face.
I can't praise this epic show enough. Sure, it depicts every cliche and trope from every Japanese samurai story ever plus gunslinger Western vibes but it's all done so superbly that you can't help but be totally immersed in the world.
Word of warning, not suitable for young kids as there are lots of scenes of nudity, sex and graphic violence.
Mirzapur (2018)
Amazing series
I'm a simple man. I see a bad guy getting his comeuppance, I enjoy it. And that's exactly what happens in the very beginning of the first episode of season 1. I liked how Ramakant Pandit beat the hell out of the goon who tried to scare him with a knife, and then how the Pandit family thrashed Munna and his goons when they tried breaking in their house and harassing them. Then afterwards whenever Munna tried to exact revenge from Guddu and Bablu, it always backfired, until the very end where he finally took his revenge by killing Sweety and Bablu.
The dialogues of this show are very iconic. I'd suggest anyone to watch it with Hindi captions, since I have seen everyone who makes memes on it always writes Hindi in English. That completely ruins the impact. In pure Hindi this looks way more grounded and realistic. My favourite part was where Guddu kills Harishankar Shukla while narrating him the alphabets. It was so satisfying to see someone getting his comeuppance when their plan backfires.
After getting control over Jaunpur, Kaleen Bhaiya is misled into believing that Guddu and Bablu want to kill them, and then he lets Munna kill both of them. Guddu and Golu are able to manage to get out of there, and Inspector Gupta finally learns of his wrong ways after the death of his daughter. It is great to see the bad guy learning about his wrong ways, but the good guy is now pretending to have given up those ways to make them feel even more guilty. Season 2 had an even more satisfying story, where the aftermath of the cliffhanger that season 1 was left on concludes.
Rati Shankar Shukla's son Sharad understands the grim situation and thus decides to slowly creep into power this time. Even in the end when he had the opportunity to let Kaleen Bhaiya die and have his revenge he instead chose to save him and continue being his henchman. Guddu Pandit looks way more iconic in season 2, with a muscular body and beard, holding a crutch in one hand and a gun in the other. And in the end when he kills Munna saying the same dialogue he said while killing Bablu in the last episode of season 1, it is really, really satisfying. Although Bauji's death doesn't feel that satisfying because of how innocent he looked, it was still good to see Beena finally being relieved of the trouble she had to go through.
The Hungry (2017)
Hunger
Awesome piece of art with an extraordinary direction and the outstanding starcast that totally outperformed their roles. You may have watched many films with stories of sequential murders but the intensity and the cold bloodedness shown in this movie is simply unmatchable.
The lust of power, the politics to hold the position of superiority, the ruthless murders executed to satisfy the hunger for revenge and which only ends with the end of all the characters is the theme of entire film. I was glad watching Tisca Chopra after so long time that too playing such a bold character. Let's not waste time commending Naseeruddin Shah's role coz, he everytime surpasses the standard of acting you have set in your mind regarding him. While all the other actors did justice to their characters, also the flow and the pace of the movie will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. I also will like to give you a hint of the ending scene specially. The last two minutes are so much subtle which perfectly justifies the title of the film and properly deserves a viewer's wit to be striked.
What I think is, if you are fond of psycho thriller movies.. than you will definitely die thanking director for making this masterpiec.
Ala Ninnu Cheri (2023)
Fantastic movie to watch Ala Ninni cheri, family and mass movie.
One of the best movie I watched in 2023. So I recommend everyone to watch this movie.
The screenplay of ala ninnu cheri stands out as a testament to the synergy between Bollywood and Kollywood. It seamlessly combines the action-packed sequences, emotional depth, and gripping narrative structure of South Indian films with the grandeur and star power of Bollywood. The film strikes a perfect balance between high-octane action and touching moments, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats throughout.
One of the most notable aspects of "ala ninnu cheri" is its musical score. The film's soundtrack, composed by a team of renowned musicians, exudes the infectious energy and rhythm found in South Indian cinema. The songs, with their foot-tapping beats and melodious tunes, add a unique flavor to the narrative and stay with you long after the credits roll.
