The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010)
Decent fantasy spoiled by religious crap
Well, to be frank, it's not the movie's fault, but rather CS Lewis ramblings stuck in the lack of enlightenment of its time. The Christian propaganda becomes much more itching and in your face in this third part though, than the others. And, like most high fantasy work, the Bible suites the imaginary settings rather good, if it weren't for all the missionary subtitling.
The plot is pretty much see-through and railway, but you can't ask for much more, since it's a children's tale.
If you can bear the outdated context, the movie do deliver some decent family entertainment though, and some quite nice visual effects. The acting could be worse, but didn't really bother me either.

Container (2006)
Worst Feelbad Movie ever produced
This must in fact be the only movie I've ever reviewed here on IMDb, that truly deserves the 1/10 vote.
Sure, it's feelbad, but feelbads at least have a purpose, a deeper meaning. This movie's only purpose is to make the audience feel bad. There is no deeper meaning to look for, like Moodyson's earlier flick "A hole in my heart" or Trier's "Dancer in The Dark".
Many in the audience left during the show, but I stayed, convinced on that the movie would eventually unravel something. Something to justify the bad poetry and disturbing hollistic images. But no. There was nothing to find. And I hate Moodysson for wasting my worst 70 minutes of my life for nothing.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
This second movie in the trilogy, can by no means match the first one. Never the less, this IS a great movie. Just a more mainstream one.
This second movie in the trilogy, can by no means match the first one. But as some people already stated, it would have been like comparing two different pieces of a jig-saw puzzle. But anyhow, the magic transfered from the books into the first installment is almost all gone in this second movie. The only thing that really shines through is the wonderful characterization of Gollum as well as the interpretation of Gandalf the White. Everything else is just a great Hollywood movie, excellent at it, but on its way it has lost the magic from the books. In fact; I no longer relate to this movie as a visualization of Tolkien's work. Perhaps it partly is because of the altered plot, as well as the exclusions of crucial parts. The Two Towers is my favorite book in the trilogy mainly because the wonderful description of the Ents and the Elves leaving the men behind to fight their war on their own. This totally disappears, but hopefully there is at least more scenes of the Ents in the upcoming extended version.
Never the less, this IS a great movie. Just a more mainstream one than the last one. A loss for the fans of Tolkien and a victory for Hollywood.
Jacob's Ladder (1990)
Absolutely THE best!
If you should watch ONE film in your whole life, this would be it. The script and acting is really AMAZING, but there are two different reactions to this movie.
On one hand those that THINK they understand the plot during the whole movie until the end scene - they will hate the movie since their theory will be drastically over trown at the end of the movie.
Do not underestimate the plot in this movie. It is filled with symbolism to help interpret the movie and will keep you spellbound watching it over and over again until you cought everything.... And in the meanwhile the experience will grow.
You can't really explain the plot before you see the movie - but it's not what you think at first. Buy the DVD with the directors commentary and extra scenes!
