This show is extremely entertaining and well done period! The only itsy constructive critique is in the casting department.

Kevin Costner has always been a lightweight actor of one dimensional stature. He is finally breaking out of the dumb surfer demeanor in this role, he's getting closer, possibly arriving, but not quite believable yet. Not really bad, but it could be better.

The skinny Indian girl is totally wrong. Always a sourpuss with nothing to emote, too tragic.

And then there's the shows creator,Taylor Sheridan. He has no acting gravitas, a bit feminine, but a wonderful writer. I'm not sure he can ride a horse because almost every shot of him horsing around is of him doing that spinning twirly maneuver.

(Never point out problems without offering a solution, my parole officer used to say)

1. John Dutton played by Forrie Smith. He's the older cowhand, Lloyd currently on the show. (No additional paperwork from H. R. required!

2. The wife of Kayce played by Julia Jones (of Taylor Sheridan's Wind River) man that guy has great stories!

3. The spinning horse trainer played by Taylor Sheridan played by, ah heck I've no real budget, Sir Clint Eastwood!

Witty and Fresh

This movie is very clever in making light of an ugliness that is all too common.

I can't imagine another actress pulling this off in the roll of Rose. She is perfect!

The only chink (can you still say chink?) in the armor is the actress playing the part of the tart assistant Mindy. She is supposed to be half of Roses' age so she should be around 25. This actress is clearly well north of 35 with all the trimmings, plastic surgery, overly botoxed lips, etc.

The writing is funny and very well timed.

Lackluster

The obvious standout feature is the luminescent fake blood and 60's haircuts (1960's)

Poor writing portrays the main character played by Miss Bergan as a brassy slattern.

All of the Duke's Movies are Good

You can't not watch a John Wayne movie. This one is a bit dull, made more so by Jennifer O'Niel. Yes, she's very pretty, but she is a horrid actress.

The other two women are excellent, Susana Dosamantes, and Sherry Lansing.

Excellent Movie

Very good story with good acting. Aviation depiction a bit fake...but Hollywood can't seem to quit get that.

It's despicable that this movie is dedicated to include the Japs. Those little bastards started the whole thing! (But we finished it!)

Very suspenseful with some twists and turns. Timely with the problem with illegals flowing into the USA bringing violence along the way.

Miscast

This lead character is a little old to be having young children. Doesn't seem believable.

An Exceedingly Dull Story
3 March 2021
This movie casts light on nomadic people who are at the end of their rope in terms of improving themselves and their circumstances.

In my opinion nothing uplifting, intriguing or clever is gained by this insipid affair.

It is truly painful to watch such an immensely talented actress as Frances McDormand cast as such a slattern. (Look it up) 😏

Warning: Spoilers
Not a real original idea. 4 dopers rent house, a bit of cross breeding, pet dog disappears and, oh, a creepy landlord. What can possibly go wrong!

Very Dull and Miscast
10 February 2021
This is an extremely boring picture that never goes anywhere. I'm sorry but Salma Hayek too old for this part, and she has aged poorly, overweight, saggy boobs, and her diction has become worse over time. She is unconvincing as a well educated researcher, in her form and manner, not to mention her '5pack a day' voice.

Poor Owen has completely overshot this role. He is too good and actor to get mixed up in this benign script.

Not a bad movie

Pretty good story. But they when cheap on a casting person. The two main characters are majorly miscast. The man, Brad is tough and intense enough but way too old for the role, by about 25 years. His wife, Kate is supposed to be an archeologist however she has the demeanor and gravitas of a Starbucks barista.

I thought it was a pretty good story, good character development. But the backing soundtrack was really out of place and seemed inappropriate for the situations.

The Godfather is my favorite movie. However, in the same spirit as the film, Star Wars episode 1, where some kid edited out Jar Jar Binks making the movie so much better...The entire Godfather trilogy would be greatly enhanced by 86ing that horrid actress who plays Michael's wife Kay. Other than, not knowing how to act, talk, position herself, and wipe the ever present inappropriate grin off of her face, Diane Keaton is a national treasure.

Could Have Been Better
21 October 2020
This movie has many false starts, the set up is ripe for a laugh but falls flat. I think it's probably just a mediocre script in the hands of a poor director.

Julia Dreyfus seems a bit old to have children this age. She looks very haggard in this film.

Will Ferrel plays the same character as in all his films.
