Deus (2022)
Better than expected
Not being a massive budget film, I was quite pleased with it.
I had two 'big' problems watching this, the first was "Si Rubin", the whole character and performance were pretty bad... The second problem I had was with the writing.
I feel that few more drafts would have perhaps helped, at times it really trails off...
Now, few things really stood out like the cinematography and editing, both remarkable.
In fact I'd like to know on which camera it was shot on, please add it on IMDb technical space.
My dearest compliments on set design as well as costumes, they were incredibly good!
Another positive thing was the soundtrack as well as sound effects, both captivating.
Definetely a big step up from Mr. Stone's previous films. Keep it up!
P. S. Casting was very good as well!
Knives Out (2019)
Ryan Johnson ladies and gentlemen
Intriguing since the beginning, playing with cliches and characters jumping from one genre to another.
It does not require a second viewing but definitely deserves hundreds.
It becomes funnier after every watch.
The casting was astounding, the characters seemed written for each actors.
Hopefully writer director Ryan Johnson will be able to have more freedom after this astonishing flick.
P.S. Toni Collette performance was probably one of the best of her career.
In the Shadow of the Moon (2019)
Great potential unfortunately wasted
This film could have really been something to remember but falls in banality.
The first 30 minutes are almost perfect, I say almost because I personally feel that the dialogues is really dull and mainstream.
It also brings into the movie a real problem that we are currently facing with the protest that are taking place for BLM.
I genuinely think that the cast and acting was really good and the use of the photography is really interesting, even if shot on digital.
Great idea but needed improvement, especially after act 1, by the way the best one of the entire film.
This was my personal opinion
