Three Months (2022)
An Unexpected Masterpiece
I didn't expect much going into this movie but I guess I didn't realise the brilliance right away. Seriously, I did not know it was going to be such a heavy storyline! The conflict, the characters, the dialogue- you can really tell there was a lot of effort put into it. And Troye Sivan really puts the pro in protagonist. I was so amazed by the second half because of how light it started off. Amazing writing and perfect actors. I wish this movie was more popular- it is the most beautiful, powerful, YA film I've seen in a long time. I hope it reaches today's youth. A magical, lovely movie, overall.
Sinister Switch (2021)
Good plot
Overall, this movie was well written and the acting was.. okay. But it definitely felt like a low-budget film, what with all the weird transitions between scenes and stuff. Enjoyed it though.
Giant Little Ones (2018)
Lovely.
A beautiful teen film that resonates so well with me. One of the best coming- of -age type movies about friendship, love, and induvidual identity. Characters are filled with deep emotions and stories, which is the best thing about this movie, I think.
Dune (2021)
Really great tbh
If you think I'm going to wait TWO YEARS for the sequel, you're crazy. I am going to read the novel, right now!
A brilliant and well written movie, to say the least. I hope it the greatness stays consistent.
Palm Springs (2020)
Interesting, sweet, funny, and a little sad.
The perfect blend for a movie. And it didn't miss out the slightly cringe worthy "multiverse time-space continuum" bullshit. It was lovely. I loved it.
Andy Samberg, what a cute, funny, sweet dude. And, God, Cristin Milloti. With a rare smile that can light up a whole town, She really knows how to play a cynical, fun character. A truly amazing work.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)
Lovely, but long.
I loved this movie. It was amazing. Hauntingly beautiful. The storyline and plot was incredible, The film directed perfectly. My only problem is that I feel it got too long.
It was a bit of a drag. I got bored in the middle. I swear, I almost stopped watching several times. But it got very good towards the end, so I'm glad I didn't.
I love the way the story unfolds. Chills.
But, to be fair, the middle part during which our main character is at sea was dragged on for way long. It seemed unnecessary.
This movie is, when summed up, sad. And really really sweet. The romance really only kicks in toward the end, though. For the most part it's just the main character discovering stuff. But the romance is true and lovely.
Absolutely incredible, in conclusion.
Work It (2020)
Fun and Better Than I Expected
Generic, but better than most.
I put this because I was bored, and I wasn't expecting too much. I actually thought it would be garbage. But as it turns out, this movie actually succeeded in impressing me. It's fun.
Now You See Me 2 (2016)
This was better than the first one though!
The fact that this is rated lesser than the first one is crazy.
Okay, not really. I'm just weird, I guess.
But I am not afraid to say that I liked this one way more than the first. It brought out way more reactions out of me than Now You See Me. I love both the movies so so much. Maybe my favourite movie of all time? I don't know.
Camp Rock (2008)
You Probably Won't Enjoy This If You're Above 13 Years Old
12- year-old me gave this a ten.
This movie is definitely not a ten.
It is a 5 at best, but I gave it one point more for actually exceeding my expectations.
I don't know why I decided to watch this one morning after pulling an all-nighter a year ago, but I did. And I loved it. Back then.
I mostly knew Disney Channel Original Movies to suck, but I loved them for that. I don't know, but to me, a few DCIOMs never hurt nobody.
But that's only for me, I suppose. I just don't really have a problem with watching the stuff that is now the most cliche BS you can find. I'm an old soul. So for a normal teen in this age, I won't recommend this movie.
But I like that it was ten-grade better than other Disney Channel Originals. Something about the regular predictable plot of it was different. Some of the songs were actually good, and Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas killed it with their acting. Not to mention Nick Jonas and being an incredibly cute dork of a boy.
This is embarrassing to admit, but the ending had me squealing.
Of course, I was twelve, so I am excused.
So to be perfectly honest, you probably will not like this movie if you are above 13 years of age.
If you're not, then, give it a try. It's not terrible.
Flipped (2010)
Best Movie Ever? A Must Watch
Probably the best movie I have EVER seen in my entire thirteen years of life. Can't think of anything that can top this!
SO CUTE.
