Alias Smith and Jones: Only Three to a Bed (1973)
Strange Episode
This to me is an odd episode for the series. Setting the guys up as competitive for girls, which never was the case in the whole entirety of the rest of the series. Heyes busting out at everything. The boys being pretty obnoxious with women. Lacked charm. The banter between the leads seemed a bit close to the bone at times. I know it had the replacement actor playing Heyes, after Pete Duel's suicide, but even accepting the chemistry between the leads was very different, this still feels oddly bitter and out of character. Though the Kid and his magic kisses to show the young lady what life is about was a familiar trope in the series. But overall a disappointing final episode to an enjoyable series,
Alias Smith and Jones: Six Strangers at Apache Springs (1971)
Love this series
The original leads had a rare onscreen chemistry, which always made even the silliest episode fun. Caroline was an intensely irritating character and I think the boys would have been well advised to turn her down. The interactions between Kid Curry and Sister Grace and the conversation between Lucy Fielding nicely highlights the partner's complimentary but different personalities Decent story, fun dialogue and a nice amount of 'peril'. Enjoyable episode that highlights much of what made the series so much fun.
The Twilight Zone: Love Is Blind (1989)
Pretty Good
This is a really creepy and well told episode. Good acting too. The viewer can feel Jack Haines anger and bitterness very clearly. He has the typical double standard of a cheating spouse though. There is a real sense of atmosphere throughout.
