Tell It to the Marines (1926)
Simply a great movie!
This is Chaney's favorite of all his movies, and mine too.
A fault I often find in Chaney's movies is that his performance often eclipses that of the other cast members, but not so here. He is surrounded by a strong cast of actors that all do justice to their roles.
Outside the Law (1920)
Another great character study by Chaney.
Chaney is incredible in dual roles. You quickly realize that his characterizations are not just fancy make-up. He puts every fiber of his being into the roles.
The final fight scene/brawl lasts long enough to be in a Jackie Chan movie, and has a reality to it we no longer see in movies.
The Penalty (1920)
A great movie!
I love this movie.
Chaney is great in the role of a demented crime lord.
Even if you are not a fan of the Silents it is worth watching just to see the sets that will become the standard "Arch-Villain's Lair" in the comic books and Serials that will follow.
Rush Hour (1998)
Fun Movie
It is a good action movie that keeps up the pace.
The TV format just kills the movie though, so only watch the letter boxed version. Otherwise you will only be seeing half of what is going on and in an action movie that is not a good thing as the creative choreography of the fight scenes is lost along with the characters' reactions to each other in the more comedic scenes.
