Spy Game (2001)
Masterpiece
Robert Redford and Brad Pitt is a 100% amazing movie! Good storyline. And to show that friendship and deeper respect goes a long way.
Such an awesome movie despite many annoying awful characters who you just want to flick on the nose......
Your Sister's Sister (2011)
Magnificent cast and story
Do movies get your attention due to actor's names? Because they have the reputation that they don't do crap movies. That every single movie that features their names are worthy of time, money and emotion that you'll exert while watching it.
This is like Emily Blunt. Most of the movies I've seen featuring her are quite beautiful. This is surely one of them. She truly is one star!!! And seriously, we need more stories and cast like this and an awesome director at the helm. A 70 page script filmed in a matter of days? Goodness! This is far better than many highly budgeted crap that we ended up seeing nowadays.
A Little Bit of Heaven (2011)
Amazing movie
I've watched this movie time and time again and still continue to make me cry and laugh and smile. This is one of the most memorable movies of Kate Hudson and definitely have a wonderful storyline.
People should give it a try with open mind and heart and I can assure you that it's not a waste of time. You will really love this movie and will surely want to watch it again and again.
Birth (2004)
It's the ending which sucks
There's a story within and it depends on viewers and their belief in reincarnation and love. Unfortunately it went wayward near the end. It didn't explain fully the context. A good ending could have been done a little better and have a bit more about Sean (boy) and Nicole. But the movie isn't a real waste. It's just the ending and I'm not just being nice. It's the truth as far as I'm concerned.
Lucy (2014)
Amazing movie
A movie which holds lots of pertinent information regarding our being human. The way we were born and formed and the intellectual side of things. Just like when Scarlett was using and typing on two laptops at the same time, I feel like I need to watch this without batting an eyelid and likewise typing down the information that she has been saying throughout the movie.
That's how amazing it is. And Scarlett truly do magnificent movies that she and her kid/s will truly be proud of.
I AM EVERYWHERE.
The Chosen (2017)
The first time I really fell in love with Jesus
Though I know Jonathan Roumie is talented and handsome, this is the first time I fell in love with a representation of Jesus Christ. The way he laugh, he smile, he communicates with everyone. And Simon don't come far either. He's amazing with his portrayal but Matthew.... he's just unbelievably magnificent to watch. The only thing is, I won't want to see any Jesus after this. Especially the way he talked to the Samaritan woman by the well. I've watched The Chosen via YouTube for more than three times now and I still get the goosebumps without fail. Thanks David for directing this masterpiece. Cannot wait for second and succeeding seasons. And Jonathan, it's a bonus to know that we have the same love for the Divine Mercy, Archangel Michael and Padre Pio. You're like someone from a past life I cannot point my finger into. Thank you.
In Your Eyes (2010)
Good actors but a terrible story ending
The movie opens up with how Ciara has tried to mould her life, her happiness and everything she got for her sister. Then comes the younger sister who thinks that her older sister is nothing but a non feeling object who she can ask to marry her boyfriend to keep him in the States, to make her sleep in one room and to do things together without any chance of feeling something akin to love.
The only time that Ciara felt happy was when she fell in love with Storm and him with Ciara. The viewers can fully see that what they fee is not just sexual attraction but real love.
But the younger sister was the one who cursed her and saying that she's nothing but a boyfriend stealer. Who is legally married again? Who should have the right to be in love again?
Storm was shattered that Ciara would him up in favour of her sister Julia. It hurt him but he continued to love her. Until they finally signed the divorce papers.
The Julia and Storm separates followed by her going back to US to be with Ciara.
But don't the viewers think that it'll be a much realistic and better ending if we see Ciara pushing pram followed by Julia and her now husband/partner- that in the end it'll be Ciara and Storm who ended up together? That true love really prevails? That someone who sacrifices everything to make sure her younger sibling grew up in a much better lifestyle having everything she needs and wants also can be happy in the end? That she deserves to be happy too? And that despite Julia being the immature and selfish sister can also develop into someone who can fully appreciate what her older sister has done and sacrifice for her and that she graciously be happy for her, after all?
The writer is awesome. The actors are amazingly talented except for some occasions that Anne Curtis is quite raw and don't act naturally. If the ending had been made better - it'll be one of the best and classic films of the Philippine cinema. Unfortunately, it was ruined by the inappropriate ending of the story.
