Unbreakable (2000)
Thank you M. Night Shyamalan
This guy is really unbelievable: his second movie is as great as "The Sixth Sense" and I hope that he'll make a lot more in the next years. He allows Bruce Willis to show us what he is really able to do: if Bruce had begun with this kind of movies 15 years ago, we would compare him with actors like Dustin Hoffmann or Robert de Niro today. If Hollywood is brave enough, it will nominate him for the Oscar in the next years (why not 2001?)
Héroïnes (1997)
A great movie
I wasn't expecting a lot before watching the movie but I was really amazed to see a well-directed film with a solid plot and great actors. Even if some moments look like a Music-video of MTV, Virginie Ledoyen does her job as good as the unknown Maidi Roth. The French cinema shows one more time that it is able to produce more than only boring movies you only watch in order to have seen them. This movie is the beginning of a new French cinema which has burst with "Taxi" and "Taxi 2" directed by Gerard Krawczik, too. I really wonder why it hasn't had as much success as "Taxi".
