The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999)
Horrible Sequel
contains SPOILERS!!!!!
I went to this film hoping for it to be at least a little bit as good as the original Carrie. What I got was a terrible film that I will never watch again. My huge complaint with this whole film is the fact that Amy Irving's character Sue was wasted in this film. She was just there and served no real purpose except a gory kill. I was very disappointed when Sue was killed off. Aside from that, the movie was just too slow up till the end. I was actually bored in the theater till the party scene at the end. I give it 1 out of 10.
Kolobos (1999)
Pretty good movie, but the ending falls flat
One of the better B movies I have seen in a long time. Good acting, great music and atmosphere, but I can not figure out the ending. It just seemed to fall flat and it was confusing to me. If anyone out there understands the ending to this movie, please let me know.
Teaching Mrs. Tingle (1999)
What a waste....
Helen Mirren is the only redeeming quality in this movie. I read the actual script when the title was still Killing Mrs. Tingle. The original script was ten times better than Teaching Mrs. Tingle. And that awful tacked on ending. The original ending was excellent and fit the word irony. The ending to this is so predictable its pathetic. Waste of time. I'll just read the script again and try to forget this version.
Diabolik (1968)
Only on MST3K
That's the only way I'd watch this movie again. Mike, Servo, and Crow made this movie entertaining, because the movie itself was awful. Mike, Servo, and Crow must have known that this was obviously not a cinematic gem. They actually made this movie better for me. It's sad that MST3K has ended. I can't imagine a worse movie it could have used to have been its swan song.
Hide and Go Shriek (1988)
Not bad, but not good either
This movie starts off as just another routine slasher flick, and goes nowhere fast. 8 teenagers decide to spend the night in a furniture store, and a psycho shows up to stalk and kill them all one at a time. Bad acting all the way around, but the killer is a little interesting to watch because you don't know who it is. By the time this movie is over, you are left wondering: Why did I waste my time?
The Burning Bed (1984)
Excellent Movie
Farrah Fawcett stars as Francine Hughes. Francine is married to Mickey. Mickey has a bad temper, and takes his rage out on Francine. He beats her in front of their 3 children. Francine searches for a way out, but can find nobody who will help her. Finally, a rage builds deep inside her, and she decides to take control the only way she knows how. Farrah Fawcett is great in the lead role. I was very impressed with this fact-based movie, it was the best of its kind.
The Slumber Party Massacre (1982)
Routine, but good 80s slasher film
Perhaps I am partial to this film since it is the first horror film I ever saw. I found it to be quite interesting actually. Trish decides to have a slumber party for the girls basketball team. Once the party starts, an unexpected visitor shows up with is portable drill. He then proceeds to kill everyone off one at a time. This actually was a pretty good movie. It is safe to say that I've seen worse movies than this.
Hospital Massacre (1981)
Good movie!
The movie starts off with a young boy who obviously has a crush on this girl. When he sends her a valentine card, she laughs at it. This must have made the boy go psycho. Cut to the present. The girl is now a grown woman, who is going to get a routine check up at her hospital. The killer shows up at the hospital and begins to methodically slice and dice the hospital staff to get to the woman. This movie has some great suspense and atmosphere. The acting was a little below average, but the movie is too good to be missed.
