Cold Mountain (2003)
Brilliant cast
First of all i'd like to congratulate Anthony Minghella for turning a boring novel(well, at least for me) into a cinematic epic. I liked the film. Script, direction, cinematography were all perfect. Nicole Kidman is great in it. But the real winners of this movie are Jude Law and Renee Zellwegger. Renee was great as Ruby and she fully deserves the Oscar nomination. And i think it's time to recognize Jude Law who is the perfect cast for Inman. It was also nice to see Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Donald Sutherland and even in a very brief role Cilian Murphy. Overall, i rate 7.5 out of 10.
Fanfan la Tulipe (2003)
what a waste of time
today unfortunately i went to see this film. of course, it was a huge disappointment for me. everything was so ridiculous and nothing was funny. vincent perez was ok but we've seen much better of him in other films. penelope cruz shows once again that her talent of acting is limited. i also think there was something wrong with the screenplay because the movie can't connect with the audience.
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
Better than Episode I
Well, the wait is over.I've finally seen Attack Of The Clones.Did I expect anything? No,not after the flop of The Phantom Menace. But this time both dramatisation and visual effects are superior to the previous episode. The storyline is good and no one can badmouth about visual effects.Besides there are very good actors like Samuel L Jackson and Christopher Lee.Natalie Portman was good too.Thankfully, she didn't have to wear those horrific costumes for the most of the part. And Jar Jar's having a smaller part is a very good thing.Bad sides? Well, not much actually.I didn't like Ewan McGregor.I thought he was so reluctant playing this role.As for the dialogues, everyone knows that this movie is not about dialogues or drama.Forget about the critics, just have your popcorn and enjoy the movie!
