Bosch: Chapter One: 'Tis the Season (2014)
Titus Welliver Nailed Harry Bosch
I always pictured Bruce Willis as Bosch, but Titus Welliver's portrayal just fits Harry Bosch to a T. The pilot was excellently cast and I particularly liked seeing Alan Rosenberg in his role. I felt immersed in viewing it, just like I get immersed when reading Michael Connolly's works. The pacing was perfect. I love how it was filmed. It captured Harry's LA perfectly, even down to his house.
The pilot episode also captured many story arcs ... there's a lot of depth in there. Kudos to Amazon for showing this in this manner. It's a big part of the future of broadcast drama and is a way to counter Vegas with Dennis Quaid being canceled in spite of top 20 ratings because it delivered the 45+ demographic that TV networks don't give a hoot about. I hope Bosch goes on. I joined Amazon Prime, for the very reason that if this show gets the go-ahead, I want to watch it religiously.
