I'm in my 60s, have no children, and I am a MOLLY fan! I love learning about Native Alaskan culture, the adults are not idiots (well, we'll leave out Travis; the kids are teaching him the truth) and are respected by the children, the kids are real kids who get into mischief or do things wrong, but then correct themselves and learn from their mistakes. Women do non-traditional jobs, like Trini's mom who's in the military and Layla who flies supplies, passengers, and scientists in and out of Qyah. Walter and Layla are wonderful parents, but of the adults I love Grandpa Nat and Auntie Midge the most.
I enjoy the jokes they sneak in for the adults, too, like the exchange between Molly and Oscar about video games, and also Aunty Myrna's response to Uncle Jack's "make sure to get my best side" remark!
And when they make a point, it is well made: really, can anyone watch "Grandpa's Drum" (my favorite episode) without being reduced to tears?
MOLLY is superior programming to much of television today, especially "reality shows" and programs about spoiled rich people. Well worth a look if you're an adult!
