Forty years after putting down the Power Station broom and picking up the microphone, Jon Bon Jovi is in an introspective mood.
The man who co-wrote iconic songs including “Livin’ on a Prayer” and “Keep the Faith” is preparing for the release of Hulu’s four-part docuseries Thank You, Goodnight, directed by Gotham Chopra.
Initially planned as a career retrospective around the band’s 40th anniversary – Bon Jovi’s eponymous album was released on January 21, 1984 – the series added another element to the story, that of its lead singer’s health issues that have raised question marks about the band’s future.
Thank You, Goodnight, which premieres April 26, highlights the highs and lows of being in a band, the drugs and the difficulties of remaining successful and wanting to evolve but not wanting to alienate its audience, in addition to its leader’s health issues. It’s not a “VH1 puff piece,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for NCIS: Sydney Season 1 Episode 3, “Brothers in Arms.”] Three episodes into NCIS: Sydney, and Afp forensic scientist Bluebird “Blue” Gleeson (Mavournee Hazel) has become a permanent member of the team! But first, Blue’s planning her own farewell party after taking a call from the forensic scientist she’s been filling in for; sadly, no one bites during her initial request. NCIS Special Agent Michelle Mackey (Olivia Swann) remarks to Afp Sergeant Jim “Jd” Dempsey (Todd Lasance) that she loves Blue’s initiative and quirkiness, but her people skills aren’t the best. “This is NCIS, not a refuge for misfits with personality disorders,” she argues, but as Jd asks, “You sure about that?” (And let’s be fair: The franchise has shown before that it is a “refuge for misfits.”) Blue tries to talk to Afp Forensic Pathologist Dr. Roy Penrose (William McInnes) about her farewell party — “You’re leaving?...

If the production of "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" has undergone somewhat of a rocky few years, from significant reshoots to Covid delays to the fallout from the bizarre saga of "The Flash," that's nothing compared to the chaos surrounding the film over at Warner Bros. Discovery. While director James Wan, star Jason Momoa, and the rest of the creative team have been steadily plugging away at the sequel to one of the franchise's most shocking over-performers at the box office, the entire ground upon which the film was meant to stand on has essentially fallen away from beneath its feet. The widely-publicized leadership shakeup put fellow director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran in charge of the whole shebang, which inevitably had ripple effects on a film that now represents a holdover from a previous studio regime.

Jack Sonni, an American guitarist who played on Dire Straits’ mammoth 1985 album Brothers in Arms and was onstage with the band at Live Aid that year, has died at 68. The group shared the news on social media but did not give any details.
Born John Sonni on December 9, 1954, in Indiana, Pa, Sonni had been playing in the band Leisure Class in New York during the late 1970s when he met the Knopfler brothers, who’d had an international hit debut album and lead single with “Sultans of Swing.” He was asked to join the British group some years later, after Dave Knopfler had left, and playing guitar synthesizer on the track “The Man’s Too Strong” for Brothers in Arms, a worldwide smash that became one of the most popular albums of the ’80s.
Recorded all digitally as the CD era kicked in, the album’s nine tracks including the global behemoth “Money for Nothing.

The Beatles and The Rolling Stones remain two of the most influential classic rock bands. The Fab Four sent several songs to the top of the charts, and the Stones also scored several No. 1 hits. Though not mentioned in the same breath, Dire Straits accomplished something the Beatles and Stones never could.

Dire Straits lead guitarist and singer Mark Knopfler was nearly 30 years old when the band released their self-titled debut album in 1978. The single “Sultans of Swing” performed well on both sides of the Atlantic, but it was nothing compared to what happened seven years later.
They made seven other albums in their career, but Dire Straits’ 1985 record Brothers in Arms was practically a greatest hits package.

In his prolonged career of manhunting filled with death and violence, the rugged, dreaded hitman John Wick has come across a number of interesting characters who deal in a similar trade to his own. John has shown them his professional courtesy, irrespective of whether their allegiance matches his or not. Also, during his encounters with these former associates, none were shown to be equal to his skills in armed or unarmed combat. The fourth installment of the series “John Wick: Chapter 4” introduces Caine, John’s old friend, a visually impaired assassin, yet one so astoundingly skilled that he can go toe to toe with the legendary Baba Yaga and, at times, best him in terms of sheer skill. Donnie Yen, the revered Hong Kong-based martial artist primarily known for his Ip Man movies, is no stranger to blind warrior roles, as he played the blind monk Chirrut Imwe in the Star Wars franchise.
