Lincoln: Divided We Stand is a six-part docuseries, narrated by This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown, that takes a look at the story of the 16th President of the United States.
The hope, according to exec producer Nancy Glass, who runs Glass Entertainment, that it is a deep dive into the history of the man who led the United States through the Civil War.
“Lincoln’s life is often reduced to many generalizations: He was tall; he wore a hat; he freed the slaves; he was assassinated. In fact, he was a man of many facets. He was funny and a concerned father. He was a brilliant political strategist and orator. During the course of this docuseries, viewers will learn about his very layered life,” she told Deadline.

Time and time again during this year’s pandemic, movie studios have had to make the best of a bad situation. HBO Max’s list of new releases for December 2020 comes along with the most extreme example yet.
WarnerMedia undoubtedly had big plans for Wonder Woman 1984 when it scheduled it for a holiday release last year. After moving it to the summer, however, the conglomerate had to delay its theatrical release time and time again. Now HBO Max is the lucky winner of the saga, as it gets to premiere the long-awaited sequel on its servers on Dec. 25.
While Wonder Woman 1984 is definitely the headline this month, there are some other intriguing streaming options for HBO Max in December. The month plays host to a whole host of high-powered documentaries like Heaven’s Gate: The Cult of Cults (Dec. 3), Alabama Snake (Dec. 9), and the Tiger Woods documentary Tiger (Dec.

Exclusive: Glass Entertainment Group, the Emmy-winning production company behind such programs as Pope: The Most Powerful Man In History, has secured rights to bestselling author Adam Cohen’s book Supreme Inequality: The Supreme Court’s 50-Year Battle for a More Unjust America, to adapt into a television docuseries.
Per the book’s synopsis, Supreme Inequality surveys the most significant Supreme Court rulings since the Nixon era and exposes how rarely the Court has veered away from its agenda of promoting inequality. Many of the greatest successes of the Warren Court of the 1950s and 1960s, in areas such as school desegregation, voting rights, and protecting workers, have been abandoned in favor of rulings that protect corporations and privileged Americans, who tend to be white, wealthy, and powerful. For Variety’s latest issue, we asked Jake Tapper to write a tribute to Amy Entelis, one of 50 people to make our New Power of New York list. For the full list, click here.
What’s especially amazing about Amy Entelis’ achievements at CNN is that this is her second act — and one that surprised a lot of people. I first met Amy when she was a talent executive at ABC News, where for more than two decades she hired correspondents and anchors who went on to become household names, including a number of women and other journalists who reflect the diversity of this world.
She is proud of us, having brought us in and coached us and served as our friend and mentor. It’s more than pride, really. In Yiddish the word is “kvell” — almost a bursting with joy for the success of someone you love. Her greatest joy was seeing us succeed.

If you’re interested in the historical aspect of the Catholic church you should probably be watching Pope: The Most Powerful Man in History. If you’re interested in the religious aspect and getting the true nature of Catholicism however then you might want to take this show with a big grain of salt. It doesn’t come out bashing the Catholic church as you might expect but it also omits a great many things as it jumps and skips throughout history in an effort to cram as much into the show as possible. Back in January 2016, Leo came face to face with Pope Francis at the Vatican, a moment that was filmed as part of the Oscar winner's documentary Before the Flood. While entering the room, Leo gave a sweet and utterly charming greeting to the Pope in Italian, kissing his hand and saying, "Your Holiness, thank you for granting me this private audience with you." According to Politico, the group was also joined by Hope Hicks, Trump’s communications adviser, who also wore a black veil and was introduced to Pope Francis as someone who has worked for the president for a long time.
