Propoganda piece for atheism.

In keeping with today's atmosphere of marginalizing of the Judeo-Christian belief system and historical records, this documentary treats the documented history like an old campfire tale and completely dismisses it's significance in order to chase down evidence of a different flood-related account.

They narrow their focus down so far as to assume there could be no other possible source for this new relic of the past than to act as a possible source for "How they came up with the idea for the Noah's Ark tale"

They could not be more insulting if they tried. How does reason and integrity lead the creators of this atheistic hit-piece to conclude one must be the source of the other because of course the recorded history of Noah's Ark has to be pure fiction, so let's look for the source material for their fantasy.

This fascinating overview highlights some of the best scholarship and research to date on the flood story, showing how it evolved from its origins at the dawn of civilization to become one of the most powerful expressions of faith in the theology underlying Judaism. The account of the recreation of the original design of the ark is extraordinary and engaging. This was one of Nova's better documentaries.

A joke! Hello, does anyone know about history?

This show is beyond ridiculous. Firstly, there's no discussion or debate about the existence of Noah, the ark, nor the actual flood-which these idiots actually are now trying to say didn't happen and it was all some sort of moral lesson that had different versions. So...why do you think Roman mythology was so similar to Greek? Think about it. What a joke. Did I mention what a joke this was?

So many flaws, but they make a silly round ark anyways

Clearly this IS a propaganda piece for atheism, but these scientists are laughable. I guess that is the state of science today, ignore facts and evidence they don't like and makeup your own to fix it.

So they find these old tablets about how to build the ark, but it's round. They string a bunch of tidbits of evidence but wait a minute... You say the engineers say that the tablet's ark specifications are so big that it would not support it's own weight? So these hacks decide to build a far far smaller round ark, screw the tablet evidence that the whole show is based off of. So they visit the area where the tablets are from and learn about reed construction. Do they build it in the local region and use the people that know how to use to do it? No they go to India and don't use the same type of reeds and don't have the same waterproofing materials. The hacks then use modern petroleum and try to make their own waterproofing that will replicate materials found in the correct area. What could go wrong, after all they all have PhD's. Oh these smart guy forgot that the round ark is too heavy and fragile to launch. So now after building it they have to figure out how to get it into the lake. oh but their waterproofing recipe is falling off of the round ark and the ark is leaking badly. They pump out the water and claim to fix it. Victory, at the end of the show they get the "big guy" on and sail out on the lake . Problem... the round ark is getting towed by a motorized boat and you can see the water being pumped out like a New York city fire hydrant.
