Bad Brains’ legendary third album, 1986’s I Against I, is getting reissued on vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital formats on July 26th via Org Music.
The landmark album combines elements of hardcore, funk, metal, punk, and reggae, and has been cited by many artists as a major influence. The title track has been covered by acts ranging from late singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley to extreme-metal veterans Lamb of God, while “House of Suffering” was famously covered by Sublime.
I Against I is the latest in a series of Bad Brains releases to get reissued. The audio has been remastered by Dave Gardner, chief mastering engineer at Infrasonic Los Angeles.
In addition to the standard reissue, a “Punk Note” edition of the vinyl is available with alternate package artwork from designer John Yates. There are also exclusive variants available via Zia Records, Newbury Comics, and other outlets.

This My Hero Academia review contains spoilers.
My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 20
“There are times where you must kill someone to save them.”
“Do you really think that it will all end with that boy?”
My Hero Academia perpetually praises the heroes who safeguard society. However, there have also been striking occasions where heroic individuals lose their way and the series highlights how easy it is for misplaced morals to forever change someone’s life. These unfortunate victims of circumstance have popped up throughout the course of My Hero Academia’s run, but “Hired Gun” unites multiple characters on this front, whether it’s All For One, Shigaraki, Lady Nagant, and possibly even Deku as he wobbles on the precipice of darkness through the season’s final arc. “Hired Gun” marks the start of some big decisions on Deku’s part that will forever change his future, but also society as a whole.

Sony Pictures Television has swooped for global distribution rights to documentary “Who You Gonna Call?” that chronicles the life of Grammy-winning musician Ray Parker Jr. who created smash hit song “Ghostbusters.”
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Fran Strine (“Hired Gun”), the documentary follows Parker’s struggles growing up on the racially charged streets of Detroit in the 1960s and escaping violence to rise in the music industry, where he toured with Stevie Wonder and The Rolling Stones at the age of 18. The film looks back on Parker’s successful music career before getting the call from Ivan Reitman to write and perform the hit song for the 1984 film “Ghostbusters.”
“Who You Gonna Call?” had its world premiere at the Zurich Film Festival on Sept. 26.
The project is produced by Los Angeles-based Power Chord Films, founded in 2019 by Strine and financier Ola Strøm, with the latter serving as executive producer.

When former Billy Joel drummer Liberty DeVitto started work on his new memoir Liberty: Life, Billy and the Pursuit of Happiness about 15 years ago, he was still angry. Joel had just fired him from his band after 30 years together, and DeVitto saw the book as a chance to vent his rage and settle old scores. “I was the ‘angry old man,'” he tells Rolling Stone. “And the anger was eating me from the inside out.”
But as the years ticked by and he had the chance to tell his side of the story,...

Docs like 20 Feet From Stardom have shown us how delightful it can be for music fans to hang out with the unsung performers who back up famous musicians. The best of these usually zero in on a certain scene — à la Muscle Shoals or Standing in the Shadows of Motown — exploiting a community-building narrative as a way of getting us to care about players we don't know. Fran Strine's Hired Gun, on the other hand, is scattershot, introducing instrumentalists who've played everything from heavy metal to Disney kid-pop, and rarely doing much to capture its subjects' individual quirks....

Fall Out Boy served up a chugging, guitar-slathered rendition of the iconic Ghostbusters theme on Thursday. Missy Elliott raps on the track, stealing it with opening lines: "Can't sleep and I'm home alone/ Nighttime, my lights on."
