Bungie remains committed to Destiny 2 moving forward.
In case there was any doubt, Bungie wants you to know that developing Destiny 2 is the company's top priority moving forward.
"Long-term, Bungie is committed to Destiny," says Destiny director Luke Smith via a letter posted on the Bungie website. "We created the universe and we hold its future entirely in our hands. The vast majority of the team is hard at work envisioning future experiences, enemies, and ways to play the Guardian you've been building since 2014. We're going to keep doing that...we're thinking about what it means to be truly independent, what it means to self-publish, and crucially, what Destiny's future can now look like for our players."
That last line might read as a shot at Activision, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Smith takes the time to thank Activision just as others at Bungie have in the past.

Alex finds her footing and James becomes a symbol on Supergirl.
This Supergirl review contains spoilers.
Supergirl Season 4 Episode 4
This week, Supergirl was framed around nonviolence and rules.
Kara’s armor looked a bit too much like Iron Man’s for my liking, but the bigger problem was that once again, someone had a giant face covering when what we really needed was to see their emotions. Kara and Alex’s conflict was initially framed around Kara’s struggle with being sidelined by her health issues. I was happy to see Alex assert her authority to keep Kara safe. The show may be called Supergirl, but Alex is the one who’s Director of the Deo, and sometimes Kara needs to learn to take orders.
Oddly, halfway through the episode the writing changed tack and made this plot about following the new president’s rules or not, and Alex’s...

As the culmination of 18 films and 10 years’ worth of storylines, Avengers: Infinity War was a big, big movie. There’s no denying that. Featuring more characters than you can shake an Infinity Gauntlet at, there was a heck of a lot going on in the pic and as it took us all across the galaxy, we got the chance to visit several planets – some of which we’ve been to before but a lot of which were brand new.
Aside from Earth, of course, we were taken to Knowhere, Vormir, Titan and more. If you weren’t able to keep up, we don’t blame you, as like we said, there was much happening in the film. But lucky for you, we’ve put together a little rundown of every planet that Infinity War visited, along with their significance. And it all kicks off with the aforementioned Knowhere.

Country superstar Shania Twain recently expressed her opinion about Donald Trump and it didn’t receive the best reception.
In an interview with The Guardian, the Canadian Grammy-winning singer said of Trump: “I would have voted for him because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest.”
She went on to say that if she were voting she didn’t want “bullsh*t.” She added, “I would have voted for a feeling that it was transparent. And politics has a reputation of not being that, right?”
Her answer immediately received a flood of backlash on Twitter and she wasted no time in clarifying her answer on the social media platform.
“I would like to apologise to anybody I have offended in a recent interview with the Guardian relating to the American President,” she tweeted. “The question caught me off guard. As a Canadian, I regret answering this unexpected question without giving my response more context.

Evidence is mounting that Drax will be bumped off in Avengers: Infinity War.
With Dave Bautista said to be mulling over a return to WWE, Reddit has today unearthed what appears to be some unfinished footage (seen below) from the Marvel threequel, and it spells bad news for Drax the Destroyer. It’s not so much a trailer as it is an extended clip, one in which the Guardians of the Galaxy – namely Star-Lord, Gamora and Drax – infiltrate the Collector’s lair only to find Benicio Del Toro’s anti-hero at the mercy of Thanos.
The audio is a little muddled, and it’s safe to assume that those blackouts will be filled in by close-ups of the Mad Titan (and his Black Order, perhaps?) once Infinity War is closer to the finish line. Still, the biggest takeaway here is that Dave Bautista’s Guardian looks primed and ready to exact revenge on Thanos,...

We first came across Indonesian director Helfi Kardit back in early 2014 with the arrival of the hyperkinetic teaser for his action film Guardian. And the director looks to build upon the audience for that film with the upcoming Ten: The Secret Mission. As you may have surmised from the film's title and the headline up above, yes, there are ten agents in play here, all of them high fashion models. Why, exactly, employing models on this particular mission would be advantageous is a complete and utter mystery to me based on the trailer but the marketing angle is clear: Bikinis + bullets = bums in seats. There are less bikinis than you might think, actually, with the level of action seeming to rise with the level...

Guardian (original title: Pengawal)
Written and directed by Helfi C.H. Kardit
Indonesia, 2014
The Indonesian action movie scene received a monumental shot in the arm at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival and subsequently in early 2012 when The Raid: Redemption was unleashed unto the world. Flash forward two and a half years later and its sequel The Raid 2: Berandal wowed audiences again. If there was any doubt about the country’s output in terms of quality action movies, those two films laid said doubt to rest. Of course, just as with any country’s filmmaking industry, not every effort proves to be a winner. The next entry in what one can assume will be a list of gritty martial arts, bullet-ridden motion pictures looking to beat the iron while it’s hot is Guardian.
Helfi Kardit’s endeavor tells the story of Sarah and teenage Marysa’s (Dominique Diyose and Belinda Camesi respectively) tenuous mother-daughter relationship.
