When WWE Total Divas premiered on July 28, 2013, it opened the door for a whole new audience for women in professional wrestling. The reality series following a group of female stars inside and outside the ring was a ratings success. It also arguably helped prove to decision-makers these performers could draw fans. This only helped change perceptions and add fuel to the fire that would become the “Women’s Revolution” in WWE, a leveling of the playing field in terms of TV time and featured matches on cards for the company’s female superstars. Now approaching a decade after the launch, the impact of the program can be seen through the next generation of lady grapplers. New Raw superstar Maxxine Dupri has said her journey to WWE started after watching Total Divas. Roxanne Perez, former Nxt women’s champion, technically made her onscreen debut as a teen fan meeting her heroes.

Jeff Jenkins made his name in unscripted television as an executive producer of E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” among other shows. But he’d been thinking about starting his own production company for some time before exiting his position as co-president of Bunim-Murray Productions. His desire to entertain viewers and inspire meaningful conversations with his shows pushed him to take the leap.
“We get to tell stories that, once in a while, actually can help advance our human culture in a small way,” Jenkins told TheWrap for this week’s Office With a View.
That’s what he’s striving to do at Jeff Jenkins Productions, which he formed in 2018, a year after leaving Bunim-Murray, alongside 3Bmg Entertainment’s CEO Ross Weintraub and Chairman Reinout Oerlemans. 3Bmg co-produces the programming alongside Jenkins and his company, which operates out of 3Bmg’s production offices in Sherman Oaks.

WWE currently owns the trademark on “Bella Twins,” according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The Bella Twins’ YouTube channel, which at one point had more than 3.5 million subscribers, is no longer available on the video platform. A WWE rep declined to comment on the sisters’ departure.

Are those wedding bells we hear? Did you see Carmella walk down the aisle during WrestleMania 38 and WWE Raw in white wedding dress-inspired gear? Although it was very Madonna at the MTV VMAs, it wasn’t just a gimmick. Carmella and commentator Corey Graves, who were engaged last October, are gearing up to walk down the aisle for their nuptials just days after the grand WWE event. Before they tie the knot, we caught up with the groom-to-be over WrestleMania weekend. When you were on Total Divas you didn’t seem quite as comfortable putting yourself out there as you are on your YouTube series Corey & Carmella. What do you think changed? Corey Graves: I got personally happy. What you saw with Total Divas at the very end was all in real-time. I was going through the worst time of my life. I had just been freshly divorced and all sorts of negativity were swirling.

Pro wrestling fans in the U.S. will soon be grappling with a significant transition in their streaming habits, with the WWE Network heading to Peacock.
Starting March 18, as the companies announced in January, the NBCUniversal service will begin rolling out WWE Network content. Stand-alone WWE streaming service will go dark in the U.S. on April 4, they revealed today, though it will continue to operate in other global territories.
The timing means that viewers will be able to access Fastlane, a pay-per-view event slated for this month, through the wrestling circuit’s app as well as Peacock. By the time WrestleMania 37 comes up on April 10 and 11, though, the only option will be Peacock, which costs $5 a month with ads or $10 without. (A select number of pay-tv and broadband customers get Peacock bundled into their subscriptions at no extra cost.)

WWE Superstar Carmella is the moon-walking, trash-talking princess of Staten Island, a character complete with the accent, colorful makeup, big hair, gaudy jewelry and all. But the real woman behind the wrestler, Leah Van Dale, is very much a Massachusetts girl.
Van Dale, the daughter of former WWF jobber (a perennial-loser gig that the business now refers to as “enhancement talent”) Paul Van Dale, hails from Spencer, Massachusetts, is a UMass Dartmouth alum, and a former New England Patriots cheerleader.
So how did someone very much from Boston Red Sox country come to represent a very different — yet equally distinctive — borough around New York Yankees land? Former Laker Girl Van Dale, who has the distinction of being WWE’s first Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match winner, walked TheWrap through that process.

Sonya Deville's coming out experience was certainly a memorable one. The Total Divas star swung by Daily Pop today and opened up about how she went from being in the closet to out-and-proud on national television. While Deville happily showcased her journey on Total Divas, which included her relationship with girlfriend Arianna Johnson, she admitted it's taken years to get to this point. Per Deville, four years ago, while taping WWE Tough Enough she was asked by Triple H if she was in a relationship. Even though this seemed like a simple enough question, it proved to be a complicated one for the now 26-year-old wrestler. "For me, I wasn't openly gay at that time and I had a girlfriend. So,...

When will Nattie Neidhart and Sonya Deville stop arguing?! The women's paradise dispute is red hot in this clip from tonight's Total Divas season finale. Last week, audiences watched as a conjecture about upcoming WWE titleholders tested the superstars' friendship. This week, the heat kicks up in Maui—and it we're not talking about tropical temperatures. "Do you have a problem?" Deville asks Neidhart pointedly from across the outdoor dining table at their absurdly gorgeous mansion villa. Two seconds earlier, co-star and wrestling colleague Carmella asked the pair if they'd resolved their differences regarding the WWE championship issue, Nattie's tone intimated they...

Ronda Rousey is definitely no stranger to injury. "Welcome back," says a clipboard-clad medical professional in this preview from Tuesday's Total Divas season finale. "Thank you," Ronda replies, as the superstar wrestler's bandaged right fist comes into view. "I should get a regular card," she smiles. "A punch card." At this point, it's been roughly a week since Rousey broke her hand during WrestleMania 35's historic main event match. And judging by the athlete's impromptu pre-surgery "photo...

Surfing lessons from hell! In this clip from Tuesday's season nine finale of Total Divas, Nattie Neidhart and fellow WWE superstar Liv Morgan find themselves in extreme pain after a run in with some sea urchins. While trying to learn to surf on a Hawaiian getaway, both Nattie and Liv accidentally step on the poisonous sea dwellers. "All of a sudden, I feel this stabbing pain in my foot. Like, a sharp, shooting pain," Neidhart describes in a confessional. "It feels like there's a hundred needles in my foot." As the superstars are in an immense amount of pain, their instructors guide them to the shore to examine the situation. "They're in there, buddy!" Liv quips...

There is quite a sisterhood within the WWE. Ronda Rousey learned that both in and out of the ring thanks to her journey on Total Divas. Yet, at the start of her WWE career, Rousey wasn't entirely sure about joining the Total Divas cast. "It was a really big leap of faith…I've had some negative experiences with reality television before and I was really hesitant to be a part of it," the Mma fighter turned wrestler noted to E! News during an exclusive chat. "I'm really so glad that I did. You know, I'm really glad that I didn't let past experiences keep me from being able to enjoy this one." And, despite her myriad of professional titles, Rousey credited co-star Nattie...

While Rousey happily declared on Total Divas that she was ready to start a family with husband Travis Browne, she has since revealed exclusively to E! While exploring the gorgeous hotel villa where they'll be staying for the next few days, the women are met with a very unexpected… "Surprise!" Not that kind of girls' trip! When Nattie Neidhart planned a post-WrestleMania vacation for herself and her WWE co-workers, she thought everyone understood the paradise excursion was invite-only. "I thought that I made it clear to all the girls that we weren't gonna bring our significant others," the athlete explains in this clip from Tuesday's new Total Divas. "Because the whole point of the trip is to celebrate what we did at WrestleMania." The trip's attendees include Carmella and Liv Morgan (plus Trinity Fatu, who's arriving later) both of whom appear to be on the same page as its organizer when they convene, respectively solo, near the Maui airport's...

You never really leave the WWE. Brie Bella and Nikki Bella realized just that during Tuesday night's all-new Total Divas. In their latest guest appearance, the Bella Twins contemplated coming out of retirement as some of their female peers began preparing for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 35. Since the twin wrestlers had always hoped to become tag team champions, they couldn't help but consider a return to the ring. "I feel like, our whole career, you and I always wanted the tag titles," Brie noted at the start of the episode. "I would love to be, at least once in my life, a tag team champion with you," Nikki said in support. Although...

Things are coming full circle for Nattie Neidhart. Alongside tag partner and real-life friend Beth Phoenix, the WWE superstar (professionally known as Natalya) has officially earned her spot at WrestleMania 35 in this emotional clip from tonight's new Total Divas. Being that her late father Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart was a wrestling icon and seasoned WrestleMania competitor prior to his 2018 passing—as Nattie explains in the clip, her dad and uncle Bret Hart are still widely regarded as "one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history"—his daughter is thrilled to honor his legacy with her addition to the 2019 event's performance roster. "The fact that Beth and I get to...

Nia Jax's situation may be worse than she thought. In this clip from Tuesday's all-new Total Divas, the WWE superstar reveals she has concerns for not one, but both of her knees. As fans surely recall, earlier this season, the Total Divas star learned that her ongoing knee pain was due to a missing Acl graft. "Now that I am aware that my right Acl is gone and that's most likely where my pain's been coming from, I have this weird feeling that there's something wrong with my left knee as well," Jax explains in a confessional. "I've been in pain in that knee for a long, long time." And it appears as though Nia's instincts are correct as the doctor orders an Mri....

Nia Jax doesn't feel like herself right now. On Tuesday's all-new Total Divas, the WWE superstar revealed she was struggling amid a painful health crisis. During last week's episode, Jax learned that her overwhelming knee pain was due to a missing Acl graft. "I got an Mri on my knee and it turns out that I have no Acl in my right knee," the 35-year-old wrestler noted in a confessional. While the Total Divas star was in pain, she wasn't willing to back out of Nikki Bella and Brie Bella's Birdiebee fashion show. Of course, the Bella Twins reminded Jax that her health always "comes first." "There's so much going on right now with my knees and WrestleMania a...

Sorry, Ronda Rousey! In this clip from Tuesday's all-new Total Divas, Carmella reveals she "ditched" Rousey's cabin trip to spend time with boyfriend Corey Graves. "I'm not at the cabin because I ditched my friends to hang out with my boyfriend. I'm that girl! I did that," Carmella explains in a confessional. "Of course, I want to hang out with Ronda, I haven't really had the opportunity to get to know her that well. But, at the same time, I never get to see my boyfriend." However, Carmella has yet to inform Ronda and her other Total Divas co-stars that she's skipping out on the girls' trip. This is made abundantly clear when Nattie Neidhart calls Carmella...

Ronda Rousey Leaves Total Divas Co-Stars Practically Speechless With Talk of the "Zombie" Apocalypse
Ronda Rousey is more than prepared for an apocalypse. In this clip from Tuesday's all-new Total Divas, during a snowy walk, the Mma fighter turned wrestler shares her end-of-the-world survival plan with Nattie Neidhart and Sonya Deville. While Rousey's Total Divas co-stars seem pretty skeptical about it all, the 32-year-old confidently shares her thoughts about a possible pending apocalypse. "I'm really interested in survival kind of stuff. I don't know why, but I just keep going down these black holes and looking at all these past extinction events that have happened," Rousey shares in a confessional. "And I'm like, 'Well, what would I do in this situation? What would I do in that...

She's the bad guy, duh! Ronda Rousey entered "full-on antagonist mode" during this week's new Total Divas. And as far as getting into character is concerned, the lauded pro athlete went above and beyond. "Maybe I did too good of a job," Rowsey told husband Travis Browne of her recent string of performances, "because I feel like every single girl in the WWE needs an individual explanation for every single one of my actions." With WrestleMania right around the corner, Tuesday's episode saw the Divas doing their best to stand out. But while Nia Jax practiced a wow-worthy wrestling stunt and Carmella recorded a new intro track for her set, Ronda took a markedly different...

Why is Ronda Rousey so mad? The professional wrestler and veteran combat sports champion takes a swing at her employer in this clip from Tuesday's new Total Divas, and it hits below the belt. After watching Rowsey's latest social video online, the clip finds fellow WWE superstars Nattie Neidhart, Trinity Fatu and Carmella confused and conceivably a little bit hurt by their coworker's comments. "I'm not going out there and doing their f--king act anymore. F--k everybody, WWE universe included," Ronda says in the video, speaking about her latest promotional segment for Monday Night Raw. During the performance (which played out on last week's Total Divas) Rowsey unveiled a...

Is Sonya Deville ready to take the next step with girlfriend Arianna Johnson? In this clip from Tuesday's all-new Total Divas, the wrestling maven is pressured to move in with Arianna by the latter's mother Deanna. Specifically, Arianna's realtor mother is eager for the WWE star to relocate to Tampa. "I live in Fort Lauderdale and Arianna's mom is a realtor. And she is always, always, always suggesting that I move to Tampa," Deville notes in a confessional. "I care a lot about Arianna, but I just don't want to rush it." While Sonya agrees to look at a couple properties, she expresses a concern about "moving so fast." "It's like this infamous thing...

WWE’s The Bump hits its fourth episode this week, and I, for one, am happy about that. So far the plug hasn’t been pulled on this unique and breath-of-fresh-air concept show from WWE. This week, like each week so far, we witness the “Bump Crew” talk about the week in WWE while also welcoming a live guest or two and some guests that appear on the big screen in a streaming Skype-style interview segment.
The crew seem to be finding their feet more now, and not talking over one-another like they did in the first couple of episodes, which makes a big difference to the flow of the program. It still has that feel of being a group of buddies hanging out and chit-chatting about wrestling while still offering a unique look at WWE. I like the addition each week of an on-site interview, and this time...
