Let's Look at the Big Picture!
Hitchcoc17 October 2021
First of all, we have the delightful contest on a basketball court where Kripke and Cooper try to outdo each other for an office that is available. Secondly, Amy has a huge portrait of she and Penny done and takes up half a wall in Penny's apartment. More feelings hurt. Most of this is pretty hilarious. The picture is also a delight in its hugeness.

"The Rothman Disintegration" was another great ep of "The Big Bang Theory"
tavm19 November 2012
With Professor Rothman (Lynn Phillip Seibel) forced to retire because of his mental health, both Sheldon and Kripke call dibs on his office. Since university president Siebert won't take sides, however, they both have to battle it out in a sports duel since neither are good at that. Basketball is chosen. Neanwhile, Amy gives Penny a giant painting of the two of them together as a "bestie" gift which Penny doesn't like (especially since her expression in it is obviously pained) but does her best to hide her real feelings to Amy. I'll stop there and just say that the writers have done it again in crafting an excellent ep of "The Big Bang Theory"! So on that note, I highly recommend "The Rothman Disintegration".

Warning: Spoilers
Weak.

Very simply this felt like a very weak episode indeed and relied heavily on Jim Parsons to try and pull it over the line in terms of quality. Even then he can only do so much.

'Geeks try to do sports' - it's a fairly standard sitcom plotline, used many times before, and if 'The Big Bang Theory' was to try and use it I thought that they especially would be able to put some new slant onto it.

They don't.

Even the Penny/Amy (normally a reliable pairing) storyline with the painting has been airlifted from 'Friends', and they did it much better as well.

Overall, this was not a good episode for me.
